If there’s one thing I know, it sure ain’t fish. So, you know, bear that in mind… My experience at Tommy Tuckers was fine.
The service itself was good. I was in early so I only had one person in front of me and I think they’d just turned the fryers on. Friendly staff, pretty fast.
I specifically noted that there was a sign on the wall mentioning the fish being fresh each morning. The fish I could see in the displays did not look fresh. I was disappointed. This is where my lack of knowledge comes in, and I wondered if it looking like that mattered. I decided it really didn’t look fresh so didn’t get any fish.
The chips and calamari were good, but over salted. The calamari was tender, but not strong in flavour. Wouldn’t not go back? Yeah. Wouldn’t not go back.
