Try the salmon roll. Your tastebuds will do a litle dance. You can thank me later !

Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Sashimi is fresh, rolls are done well! Sake is served in Champagne flutes which is original! Choice of cold and hot sake. Very close to the Hilton about three minutes away. Would recommend for a quick dinner or a nice group dinner. Good choice if you’re looking for something other than Belgian food.

After trying the south version of this restaurant a few weeks ago, today I have tested the one in the center. As sun was out, it was great to enjoy the terrace on the pedestrian street. We took the boat for 2 persons and the mix of Suso and sashimi was good — a nice set of regular ones and a few creations around salmon. We have enjoyed it and will be back there

I am writing this review from the perspective of an American visiting Antwerpen. I have been traveling to this lovely city twice yearly since 2008. I know what type of food the region has to offer and I’m usually disappointed. I hail from the San Francisco Bay Area where dining is an experience. To dine out in Antwerp is usually a challenge. Sorry folks – your food is usually pretty terrible. I take my friend out for dinner every trip as a gesture to thank her for her hospitality. This trip we went to Zaowang. It was the only restaurant in the vicinity of her flat which was open at 9:30 pm on a Monday night. We were seated immediately and ordered our food. We decided on the sushi boat which was basically a large assortment of generic rolls. Sometimes that’s what you want – nothing fancy and predictable. The rolls were flavorful, fresh and tasted the same as I have at home. I didn’t want a Flemish interpretation of sushi. I wanted sushi! The price is fair. If you are traveling from the US, be prepared to pay upwards of $ 50 for two people for what you’d normally pay $ 30 for in the US. Of course you aren’t tipping either so keep that in mind. I will definitely return when I am back in April. It’s nice to have a safe haven for dining where I KNOW I will enjoy myself.
