Lovely restaurant which is walking distance from the Grand Place but miles away in its quiet simplicity from the normal tourist spots. Simple, fresh food with an emphasis on fish. We ordered from their daily specials menu and everything was terrific. The only complaint? The portions were too large. I can’t believe I’m saying this about a European restaurant but we felt like the portions were very American. We could not finish our meal despite it being very delicious. Totally recommend this place, just go very hungry.

Fabulous! I had a lasagne and my boyfriend had the meatballs. Both dishes came very quickly and looked like they came right out of the oven! They were very delicious! We also had a lemon sorbet, which was lovely. We definitely recommend coming here.

Called one of the 5 best restaurants for fish from the North Sea by Derek Blyth, Vismet does not disappoint. The menu lists many fish and seafood choices as well as a couple of delicious steak options for the land lovers. A knowledgable staff will help you pair the perfect wine with your meal for a food experience that you will surely enjoy. Want to truly taste Belgian cuisine? Forget the touristy mussels stands and check out Vismet.

I had dinner here with a colleague tonight. It lived up to expectations. The food was very fresh and well prepared. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Everything we tried was just great. Save room for dessert because the Crème Brule should not be missed.

This is probably the restaurant I visit the most in Brussels. The name ‘Vismet’ is Flemish Brussels dialect for Fish Market. In my opinion one of the best fish restaurants in Brussels. They have a set menu and daily specials. I go for the daily specials every single time(three to four appetizers and main courses). The specials are always original, simple disches. This place is all about fresh food. Everything is homemade: the fries, tartare sauce, desserts… . Before your meal you get little appetizers on the house, a treat. The restaurant has an open kitchen so you can see all the action. The service is friendly and relaxed. You can’t go wrong in the Vismet.
