What a fantastic pub virtually unspoilt, the interior is what a multi room pub used to be and full of character, tiles, plasterwork and lots of wood and leather. There’s nothing false it’s totally authentic. Theres a great range of well kept real ale, has to be on my top list of pubs to go to in the UK.

The Victoria Inn

Fantastic value for money, mich bigger portions than I expected for the price. We went on the Thursday and it was Curry night. Not as many in as we expected but that wasn’t a bad thing. Food was OK but the prices were really good.

Market Tavern

Not my cup of tea, got to go through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get in and out and when it’s busy the cue at the bar can be 6 – 8 people deep. At times it felt like being in a cattle wagon. Typical chain pub with typical chainnpub food nothing special and maybe it’s my age but I’ll not be back in a hurry.
