Fantastic food and service at the little brown jug. They couldn’t be more accommodating to our wants and needs and booking a table online was quick and easy and got a follow up call to confirm booking.If you are looking at going for Sunday lunch I would advise to book as very very busy.
Food was nice, and nice pictures on the wall. You can eat outside by the busy road, which has lots of heavy traffic including lorries, so not very nice breathing the fumes in. It is quite dingy. A bit intimidating in the evenings, with the boozers.
Well lets put it this way this is the best Tonbridge has to offer. Its a good Weatherspoons but nothing special. Beer is more expensive than most. Very popular but then its the only decent place in town. Its hard to believe that such a town has such a lack of quality pubs.
Fairly typical chef and brewer. Food decent though the breakfast i had was undercooked and cold. Nice layout and décor. Beer choice limited and not the best. Green King need I say more. Beer quality was poor but lets face it Tonbridge is a beer desert. Service good.
Large pub in a prime location. Muliple tv’s. Very poor choice of beer in fact all they had was pride. Place is a bit dingy with a bit of a smell. Saying that its got lots of potential.
Went on a celebratory dinner after being recommended the restaurant. Was very disappointed in the meal. Thought the pâté was bland, the plaice special very poor and the steak and ale pie pastry was not cooked. Don’t normally complain but when we did the staff just shrugged their shoulders.
