My favorite Cuban restaurant. My family has been going here for over 30 years. If you come, get a #1 or #2, but the Ropa Vieja is to DIE for. Finally, make sure you get the following: yuca, croquetas, tostones, and a café Cubano.
I ordered a café con leche and a Cuban sandwich. The café con leche was pretty alright. Not as strong as other Cuban coffee I’ve had (@marianaos). It was a bit on the sweet side. The Cuban sandwich was tasty and the lechon was as good as other reviewers have commented but I didn’t care too much for the bread…
I’m shocked by some of the 5 star reviews. I really want to love this place because its so well decorated and the full bar/tvs are nice, but I can’t. I went for dinner with a friend. We ordered some empanadas as an appetizer, I got the ropa vieja dinner and my friend the steak sandwich. The appetizer came out…
The worst crab cakes I ever had tried in my life. I guess they made it from canned fish. The texture was far from crab meat. Very disappointed. The Mojito is too sweet. To much sugar, syrup etc.
