History

Established in 1963.

Altadore Gymnastic Club has been the leader in the gymnastics community in Calgary for over 50 years. Established as a non-profit organization, AGC strives to provide the highest quality of service to the gymnastics community.

AGC began in a gymnasium at a local high school in 1963. Since then we have grown into a Nationally competitive gymnastics facility located conveniently off Barlow and Glenmore trail. In our time we have produced two Olympic Gymnasts; 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist, Kyle Shewfelt and 1992 Olympian, Jennifer Woods.

Actively involved in gymnastics for the past 28 years as an athlete, coach, and performer. I believe gymnastics is the ultimate fundamental sport that produces the worlds greatest athletes and citizens. Throughout my school years, from 1986 — 2002 I was a competitive gymnast in USA Gymnastics. In 2002, I entered Temple University to study Business and continued with my gymnastics career as an NCAA Athlete. In 2010 I moved to Calgary and began applying my experience at Altadore Gymnastic Club.
