This review is only for their face waxing services. This is my favorite place to get a brow wax in Calgary. Regardless of the esthetician, they always deliver consistent service and do a great job. Love that their location is convenient and they accept walk-ins

I’m gonna warn you that there is another Angles hair salon really close to here, so if you’re booking an appointment, be sure you know which one is which, there is another one on 6th street and 8th ave too. I normally don’t go to chain salons for any of my services but my regular person was away, so I looked online to see what was close to my work and was reasonably priced. I was surprised to see that Angles had very reasonable prices for waxing services. Threading was a bit more expensive than what I’d expect, but it was still reasonable. The staff here are friendly and helpful, and were very accomodating(as I booked my appointment at another place and thought it was this one — but they managed to fit me in right away). They did a thorough job for all services and helped recommend some products too. I left feeling pampered and happy, which is good after spending money. The product prices are also very reasonable, as they often have sales on a lot of their products. I definitely will go here any time my regular person is away from now on, it was convenient, fast, and friendly.

Located on the third floor of the Core towards the direction of Holt Renfrew is a hair salon called Angles. It is a little difficult to spot unless you are nearby and I had to stop in my tracks as I almost passed it. The sudden stop almost caused a collision with a lady behind me who was half my size. Fortunately no one was injured, but I did get a dirty look. I have that effect on people! You are greeted with smiles as you enter the doors. I was a walk-in and had to wait 5 mins minutes before someone was free. They quickly took my bag and had me seated for my haircut. My stylist’s name was Kevin. He did a decent job. He took the time to ask where I was going with my hair style, made suggestions and was fairly quick. He even washed my hair after the cut to avoid those dreaded small hair pieces. It’s quite a challenge because I find no matter how much you wash at the salon you are bound to have some of those pieces left. Kevin did the best he could. I did visit here after work and you have to be careful because they close at 6 pm. Apparently, they always have a last minute rush before closing, so keep that in mind. The cut was $ 36.25. I found it expensive, but this may be because I am kind of cheap sometimes. The service was fine, but I can’t think of anything that justifies that high of a price. Maybe because it’s conveniently located? If it were a $ 25 service I’d give 4 stars, but minus one for the price. However, I did think Kevin performed well.
