I also had a groupon for Breathe and with a further 10 $ off coupon from Groupon itself, it was a steal of a deal for a 60 minute massage. The groupon was only good for booking with Greg, but I hoped things would go better with him than other people on here said they would. I think they did… The massage was BRUTAL in a good way. Greg found every knot and got rid of them. It hurt like a mother, which is what I like, but he didn’t ever check in with me so make sure to be vocal if you prefer lighter pressure. Unfortunately it was so painful that the rest of my day I was bent over in pain while my muscles figured their stuff out. I left work early to go home, lie down and drink some water. Greg was super nice, but really chatty. I don’t really like to chat during a massage so I gave a lot of one-word responses but he kept going with the«So, how long have you lived in Calgary?» stuff. That’s just me being picky, though. However, if you don’t like the niceties while you’re getting a massage, best book with someone else. Also, it’s not a big deal to me but to some people it might be; he answered some texts and a cell phone call during our appointment. Not the most professional thing, but I’m not big on professionalism as long as you do your job right. and I really think he did, in the sense that he knew how to find knots no one’s ever found before and rid my poor stressed body of them. So, if you like a chatty, hardcore massage, go to Greg at Breathe! :)

Great massage from Greg, who put a lot of effort in, despite this being a Groupon.

Had a Groupon coupon — which often means the vendors treat you like a bother rather than as a great potential repeat customer. Had a terrible experience the day before at Pearl the Salon in the Sheraton Suites… so was so happy to have a great experience with Breathe! Frankie was gracious, educational, and very service oriented! She also gave me an amazing pedicure! It was the first time I have done a lie down one… and it was really relaxing and my feet have never felt better. Highly recommend them. Great service and a lovely experience. A little tough to find — in behind CIBC in the Elveden Centre but worth the effort.

I got a Groupon for a 60 minute massage and saw Greg at Breathe, rather than Cheryl. So please keep in mind that this review is relating to Greg only. The massage was all right, but I didn’t feel any better or looser after the massage so I was a little concerned. I had re-booked with Greg for the following week in hopes that the second massage might make me feel better than the first. However when I showed up for my appointment at 10am, the doors were locked and no light was turned on. I called Greg to confirm that I didn’t make a mistake and come at the wrong time, and he informed me that his alarm clock didn’t go off, so we’ll have to rebook. So to sum it up, he didn’t call me or give me any sort of notice when he knew that he was going to be late/not going to make it. And if I didn’t call him I doubt he would have called me. He also said he could call me that afternoon to rebook, but he didn’t call at all. I will not be returning to establishment to see Greg, but I am interested in seeing Cheryl as the reviews for her seem to be quite good!

A good massage therapist is often hard to find. I used to have this amazing therapist named Cheryl. I first went to her over 10 years ago. The last I knew, she was at a place downtown on 8th Avenue. So one day after work, I stopped by the place only to find out she was no longer there. She had opened her own place in Elveden Centre. Oooh I was excited that I had tracked her down. I phoned and left a message and Cheryl called back to say she had a cancellation the next day, which I gladly took. This location is convenient for me since it’s right on the LRT line. I also work downtown so it’s easy to get to after work if I want. The front part of the spa looks a bit small but in the back, there are a number of rooms for massage and esthetics. They do waxing, laser hair removal, facials, and nails. You can get it all done here. There is another massage therapist that also works here. Cheryl is great at working out all the knots in my back. I’m rather sensitive and Cheryl can give a relaxation massage without going too deep yet still be beneficial. My hour massage seemed to go on forever. All the areas that were tight when I came in were gelatinous now. It was simply wonderful. I had forgotten just how good a massage therapist Cheryl is. And now that I found her again, I will not be going anywhere else.

Booked an appointment at a new spa in downtown Calgary and spoke to a very friendly gal named Frankie. A co-worker passed by when she was out for lunch and popped in to see a gorgeous jewellery rack in the window. When she found it out was a spa, she of course brougth pamphlets back to the office. I booked a massage immediately. Stay tuned! I will add and edit this review when I walk in the business today. So far, the phone call and service was a 5-star experience!
