Sundrops

I really wanted to have a healthy glow before wearing my wedding gown at a beach in Hawaii to say my vows in the middle of winter. My skin was rather pale in December and I shuddered at the thought of wearing something white in January.
A month before the wedding, I ended up at Sundrops to do a trial run for the Capri Tan. I met Laura who was the most friendly shopowner. I expressed my concerns about my dry skin and eczema and we did the first spray tan paying special attention to the eczema spots. I left the tan on for 8 hours and it was dark but faded into something beautiful by day 3 – 4.
I came back in January, four days before my wedding and replicated the same thing, skipping the eczema patches so that the tan would fade to a color of my liking by the time my wedding day arrived. I did have some minor discoloration but it was attributed to my dermatitis.
I also tried a few sessions of the ionithermie and believe it made a difference in the wedding pictures.
For special occasions, definitely worth the splurge for the tan.

I’ll start this off by saying this was my first spray tan! I am a pasty white human going on vacation this weekend.
It was a great experience for the following reasons:
— Great service. I was greeted, offered water, shown how everything worked, and given an aftercare sheet. Appropriate level of chit chat considering my nakedness. Good jokes.
— Clean! They take good care of the place.
— I look smokin’ hot.

I’ve tried out every tanning studio in Calgary, along with numerous tanning studios in BC, and Sundrops is by far the best one. The staff are incredibly friendly and the studio is very nice, comfortable and welcoming! The tan itself is amazing! I’ve NEVER had it streak and it stays on longer than any other tan I’ve ever had! Plus, you can choose how dark you want to go which is awesome! Last but not least, my favorite is the firming solution they add to the tan. It makes my arms and legs look fantastic! Honestly, if you want the best spray tan, go to Sundrops.

I have been extremely pleased with every tan I have done here! Now I can sport a summer glow without the damaging effects of the sun!

I have never ever tanned in my life… I have a good ol’ Irish background and all I do is freckle and burn. I did try tanning beds years ago and I got burned… in strips where the bulbs were. I was super excited to try a spray tan because i wanted to know what I looked like when I wasn’t beaming white.
It’s amazing!!! I can’t believe what a difference it made. My face looked healthy and had a really beautiful glow. My legs weren’t ‘offensively’ white.lol. it was super awesome. So now I go regularly when I have a special occassion or most recently before I went to the Bahamas. It lasted way longer than I thought it would with me swimming in the ocean.

Fabulous, well priced and easy to locate the staff was great. I decided to tan nude and felt 100% comfortable with the associate who did my spay tan. It came out even and looks great on me. I very pleased with the result and recommend sundrops to anyone looking for a nice spray tan!

So Groupon told me that my voucher for Sundrops I had purchased back in December was expiring, so I decided to get my spray tan yesterday.
I booked my appointment over lunch, and was kind of worried that my co workers would notice that all of a suddent I’m 10 shades darker than I was before I had left.
I got to Sundrops and filled out a form, and was escorted to the spray room to get ready.
Even though I was wearing very little, Meagan made me comfortable and we chatted while she gave me the run down on how I move while she sprays me down. First you get a layer sprayed on you, and if you want more, they’ll add another the second time around.
The whole process was brief and took about 10 minutes max. When i came out ans saw what teh tan looked like in teh mirror, I was relieved I didn’t have the Lindsay Lohan going on, though Megan told me they don’t do that (or the Snooki) either.
Everyone at work agrred I did not look orange, and the tan looked real. By 5 pm that day, I looked even darker. I took a quick shower early this morning, and though the color ran off (as I was told it would) the color remained the same level of tan shade I had been before. Megan gave me some follow up advice on my way out for after care, and so far so good.
The only small thing I noticed, is that I’m slightly whiter underneath the arms where one application of spray went on, and not teh second. Though it doesn’t look too funky.
If I need a tan again, I’d go back to Sundrops definitely. The professionalism and customer service was great.

I had to think before I decided what stars to give this. Ok, heres the story. I was going down to florida to meet a good friend and thought I would replace my usual pasty self with a beautiful instant tan.
When i arrived for my appt, there was noone at the front counter and I could hear a high pitched noise emanating from another room… someone was getting sprayed back there. A few minutes later, a lovely girl came out, had me fill in a new client form and as I did the «sprayee» came out from the back… clearly tanned, and smelling of spray tan… a coconutty kind of smell (if I remember correctly). The girl helped me choose my tan color level. I chose to have «The Malibu» how hilarious!
I decided to get a full body spray and because I am a guy I decided to leave my shorts on. I was taken to this room, that was all tiled and the walls were all brown, various shades. These were the remnants of many spray sessions before me. I stood there like i was going to be shot dead by a firing squad as she primed the gun with the color I chose. I stood there and the spray began… not cold but not warm either… I was told to take different positions… it felt like a bizarre hazing ritual from University days. I finished up and paid over $ 40 but thought it was worth it, as I thought I would look very malibu.
When I got to florida, my friend pointed out that a huge area on one of my legs was missed. Yikes. The illusion was destroyed! lol I walked around Walt Disney World looking like the 102^nd dalmatian.
Ok, the review… service was very good, price was expensive, experience was bizarre, and application was splotchy. It is one for the memory banks.

Sundrops Studio has the best spray tans in the city! I have had about half a dozen tans there, and they are nice and even, and they last!
