Awful. They completely screwed up a simple job. Wrecked several T-shirts. The sales persons response was’ oh well…” And pointed to their sign that says they are not liable for anything if they screw up. You should never go there, ever

Cheerful service, and a unique gift for a picky 13 year old that is much cooler than I was at that age? All packaged in a pizza box? Can’t beat that :). Whenever I’ve complimented one of my friends on one of their t-shirts that didn’t obviously come from (I get their newsletter so I’m pretty familiar with their styles), it’s almost always come from The Rocket.

I’ve never seen a gathering of such miserable people in a workplace. This was very disappointing, as I was shopping with my sister for a present for someone and we found the perfect gift on display in the window. We waited at the counter(might I mention that it wasn’t busy at ALL), and we waited… and waited… and waited some more. The longer we waited, the less we wanted to make a purchase. The staff seemed to be trying to make themselves look busy, even though they were doing a bad job at it. After asking for service a few times and trying to make eye contact with the staff, we finally got an opportunity to ask about the particular item we wanted, only for them to miserably inform us that the display one was the last they had… They offered no alternatives! After working in retail myself, I always try to think of creative ways to make the customer happy and hopefully return someday… None such effort or slight attempt at making us want to return was made. I don’t ask much… maybe even a smile would have sufficed, but we got nada! So disappointing! This place has potential to be a fun place to shop, if the staff were friendly. Maybe we were just there on the wrong day, but to put it simply, the service was lame.

If you’ve spent any amount of time in Toronto, then you’ll understand what I mean when I label Rocket as Calgary’s version of Bang-On. Yup, that’s right: a custom t-shirt shop. If you can think it, they will build it. They sell an assortment of t-shirts, hoodies, underwear, etc etc. in a variety of different colours. All you have to do is pick the colour, and then pick the pattern/label/design you want placed on the article of clothing. if they don’t have a pre-made design for what you have in mind, bring your design in and they will tattoo your T for you! It’s your vision, brought to life in fabric form. What could be better???

The Rocket is a… neat place. It’s a very interesting and unique store and I enjoy browsing around in it. They will personalize your t-shirt with anything design or phrase you want. When you first walk in, all you see are dozens and dozens of different coloured t-shirts. Some of them already have designs on them, but some are blank and open for your own design. They have giant books of all the creations you can put on your shirt, or you can bring your own in and have them put it on a shirt instead. The people in the store are a little intimidating at first, but super friendly after you start talking to them. It’s not hard to strike up a conversation in a place like this, since a lot of the slogans and pictures are offensive but still hilarious! If you need a personalized shirt for anything, whether it’s walking for cancer or going on the Price is Right, this place will meet your needs.
