Pretty good overall, I’ve always had delicious food there(the wraps and asian boxes are both good). Prices are decent for what you get, and the late hours are a major plus. The place is pretty tiny though so it feels a bit divey, still pretty good though.

Went here recently at about 3 pm, my wife orders the story fry soup and the serber asks her what size, pointing to the boxes on the counter, my wife says the«regular». She prepares the food and is about to put it in the container when we realize she prepared as a stir fry not a soup. When we brought it to her attention she blamed it on us. She said the soup was prepared slightly differently. We asked her to prepare it again, but she didn’t want to waste the food, all she did was take out the noodles and add broth despite us having asked for it to be prepared again. In the end my wife hated the taste of the food, I didn’t mind mine but mine was prepared right and I knew what I was getting. The server had an obvious Eastern European accent, I’ve enjoyed the food there in the past but don’t think I’ll go back cause of the crap service, I know my wife won’t go back either!

The open late feature here is definitely appealing to me(open until 4 am Friday & Saturday). They have a selection of wraps, subs, noodle/rice boxes, and salads(I think). A small chicken wrap is the perfect solution to those late night munchies, and a welcomed substitute to the other food establishments that are open past a certain time(Timmies & McDs). There is something about the wraps that is unique to this place, and every so often I get a craving… and it has to be BAJ(that’s gotta be a good thing, right?). The way I feel about the food is difficult to describe; not my favourite, I can’t imagine it’s super healthy(but not too terrible in comparison to the alternatives, I guess), but when I am in the mood it is the best food ever! I do have one disgruntlement though; the peas always seem overcooked and crunchy so I try to avoid them(and I don’t like the texture of onions). However, if you don’t quickly mention that you only want a few select veggies, they are quick to just throw in the full mix(I try so hard to stay on top of it but it usually all happens so fast and then I have to pick stuff out — not my favourite thing to do…). Got the late night munchies? Tired of the same old fast food crap? BAJ is worth a try!

I don’t really get this place. They have a menu that is all over the place. Sure I get the subs and wraps but where do the Asian boxes come from? Also while in line I noticed that the saran wrapped cookies didn’t have any consistency in size. Sure the wrap was pretty tasty but the small size was not worth the price they charged. Basically this place makes me say«Meh» and I probably won’t be back.

BAJ is a different kind of sandwich shop. They serve a variety of ethnically(not ethically) oriented sandwiches like butter chicken or szechuan chicken sub among other more tradition subs. I’ve been here a few times and have had mixed feelings about the subs. This one time when I was really famished, I got the Chicken Szechuan sub which I gorged down a Szechuan sub like there was no tomorrow. It was certainly my best experience at BAJ because the sandwich was actually very gorge worthy. On the other two occasions i’ve been here, I’ve felt like the sub was lacking flavor and was meh-ish. Sometimes, it’s just an off-day and I recognize that possibility. I would visit them again, but fear that there are pretty decent sandiwch/wraps/to-go options in the vicinity. Clearly, Remedy comes to mind and their wraps are quite the famous kind. The price is reasonable and it certainly classifies as fast food in range and delivery. I like that it’s a bit of an independent store and isn’t a chain of some kind. In that sense, I would choose them over, say, Subway. Their hours are great over weekend nights, totally justifying this place as a university haunt! I wish there were more late night options that are good.

I’ve only ever tried the Chicken Caesar Wrap at BAJ because it’s the one thing on the menu that consistently appeals to me. Visiting this location last night was my first time in a BAJ in a couple of years, and I seem to remember there being way more wraps on the menu last time I was in(now it’s about half-wraps, half-Asian noodle boxes). Luckily the caesar was still on the board, so that’s what I went with, and I was not disappointed. My wrap was made quickly, it was tasty, an OK amount of food for $ 5, and there was plenty of seating around the little restaurant. Best part of this franchise location: it’s licensed and open till 4AM on Friday and Saturday nights!

I really like Badass Jack’s! Especially the name! But there’s really nothing badass about the place except the name. Their food is really good though. I love their wraps! I usually get chicken, noodles, veggies and a different sauce each time, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. This place is like a Quiznos of wraps. There are choices, and you customize your wrap just how you like it. I love the hot noodles in the wrap — they are delicious! The staff isn’t very friendly but I worked at Subway when I was younger so I understand. It’s not an excuse for poor service, but at least I know where they are coming from. If you haven’t had a Badass Jack’s wrap, you should try one at least once. I have a feeling you’ll be going back for more!

If you want sandwiches or wraps and want to know exactly what you are getting, check out Badass Jack’s. The beef here is sliced right off a roast, and the poultry is carved from a rotisserie chicken, right in front of your eyes. They don’t really have menus here, it is like a sub shop, so you pretty much pick what you want on each sandwich, right down to the sauce. It is really good if you’re in a rush because it takes only a few minutes to prepare a wrap. There is seating room in the restaurant which is set up like a subway but I usually just grab my food to go. Badass Jack’s is really a great place for wraps. I personally think it beats out the other pita places.
