Although I live in the area and have driven past Franco’s innumerable times, I’ve never been tempted to go inside. However, based on its positive Unilocal reviews, I decided to check it out.
The sketchy-​looking exterior definitely doesn’t reflect the interior, which is very «family-​run Italian» — complete with (plastic) checkered tablecloths and wall murals. The place was pretty quiet when we went in, with only two other tables being occupied. The kitchen was quite accommodating with our request for a customized thin crust pizza, which tasted pretty good. Our server was very friendly and attentive; but, then again, we were one third of the patrons in the restaurant!
I love finding solid places in my neighbourhood, and I will definitely be visiting Franco’s again. Don’t be deterred by the questionable exterior!

I’ve never been to the restaurant side of Franco’s but I’ve been to the bar side several times now. Definitely not flashy or pretentious and filled with neighbourhood folk, this is a place where you go for standard drinks in hi-​ball glasses, no $ 11 martinis here. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is really excellent. It is close to my house and has karaōke if you’re into it (I was brave enough, once and only once). If you want some kick-​ass pizza and a fun, easy Saturday night Franco’s pub is your place on the west end.

Thoroughly disappointed with the take out at this location!
We have ordered twice and both times it has been a disaster! Both times we ordered Franco’s special lasagna, first time we got regular lasagna, second time Franco’s Large Special Pizza. First time charged for special lasagna, and the second time 2 Large pizzas. So they don’t give you what you ordered, and then you pay extra! I was furious the second time, as my husband already paid and they handed him pizza and he is too polite to say anything. So I called, and they said they could give us a credit, what kind of credit and who knows if it would be correct if we ordered again.
We will not be back, and I suggest not ordering pick up from here!
Sad, as we’ve been in house to eat without issue… but I do not condone multiple
mistakes with a restaurant as who knows what else is falling through the cracks.

My boyfriend and I were in the area and hungry and decided to try this place, it was small but man is it a gem!!! It was early for dinner (4:45pm) on a weekday so not very busy inside, so we expected it to be quick good service and they did not disappoint. The server was very nice, helpful being that we had not been there. We ordered pasta and it was just amazing… Full of flavor and spice! Definitely worth it. We live completely across the city but would drive out of our way for this yummy place again!
