Future Shop

I’ve been to this location several times and not once has an employee ever tried helping me. Everytime I go there it is near impossible to find an employee, they’re always just chatting with one another. And when I do find an employee it is clear to me that they have no idea what they’re talking about. There is a younger British girl there is is extremely rude and mean. Everyone I have ever talked to her she was extremely rude to me. I like futureshop but this specific one is filled with lazy employees and a lack of knowledge of the product.

Came to check out TVs during their Boxing Week sale. There are signs with the screen size so the TVs should be organized accordingly but it wasn’t so straightforward. We walked in the numerous aisles looking for the 46 and 50 inch TVs. It would also be great if they could organize the TVs by the brand.
We were asked a few times by various sales associate if we needed help but we informed them we were browsing and they left us alone. When I did have a question, I went to go find someone and they were hanging out chatting. The TV he showed me had an incorrect sign for another TV. Not a good sign when staff don’t ensure the product matches the price.
We didn’t make a purchase but may return to do so based on convenience of location and price. We tend to do almost all our research online so the associate’s help doesn’t matter. Another time I was there, I asked a question and was informed she didn’t work in that department so I had to go find another person who was watching hockey. At least when I did ask for help, he was helpful. At least they aren’t pushy and aggressive. They also offer items to buy online and could qualify for free shipping so if you don’t have to go into the store, you can go this route.

Future Shop — where you’re bombarded by sales people when you don’t want to be, and you can’t seem to find anybody to check you out when you need them to. But you’ll still find what you need when you need it, and in a relatively convenient location if you are driving a car somewhere along 170 st.

Future Shop has some of the best electronic deals in town. Along with their sister company Bestbuy, this is a powerful duo in the big-​box electronic market. If you find a deal at one of the stores, the other will match it right away.
The selection here is very good. From dvds, video games, cds, computers, tvs, and appliances, they have you covered for all your electronic needs. The staff here are helpful, but they can be overwhelming at times. They are commission based, which can lead to someone asking you every 5 minutes whether you need help. Granted, when you do need something and don’t agree with the price, they always seem to be able to throw in some deals for you (they want your business after all).
The staff seem to know what they’re talking about, atleast for basic consumer needs. They don’t really have any technical knowledge past the basics, and I found myself correcting the salesperson on the processor specs. I would not go to Future Shop looking for answers to my technical questions, but I would go there if I was looking for a deal.

I am a big fan of Future Shop. I find their deals on electronics can’t be beat. I most recently got a printer here, and received a coupon giving me a 10% discount on ink for a year. So you can guess where I buy my ink right now. I also buy a lot of digital memory, because I find the prices are just so much lower than at other stores carrying similar items. I can usually chase down a salesperson to help me when needed. There is also a huge selection of DVD movies and music CDs at very good prices.
