I’m highly recommending people to meet Nisreen. After so many years of looking for a hairdresser who knew how to cut thick wavy hair I was so pleased to find Nisreen. She has a natural talent of knowing what hairstyle will look good on you. She’s a very kind, friendly, and personable person. I had initially went for a consultation when she worked at another salon and was so impressed with the appointment that I had her cut my hair immediately! I left so pleased with my new hairstyle that for the first time, I did not go home and wash and restyle it. My husband also loves how she cuts and styles my hair. I was so happy and relieved to find her at Lines and Legends. So, please go to Lines and Legends and meet Nisreen. Once you do, you’ll understand why I’m writing this review and you’ll LOVE your haircut and you will walk out impressed with the very talented Nisreen!

Heather is amazing; super friendly, listens to your concerns and input, and always knows what’s up with the latest products. I would highly recommend her for anyone — especially those with damage that needs TLC, or anyone with bangs(she works wonders). 4⁄5 Stars because I cannot leave L&L without buying a fun new amazing product,(they carry Bumble and Bumble, as well as Kevin Murphy) which is awesome, but addictive and bad for the wallet ;)

I bought a Groupon for L & L way back in August; I paid $ 79 for a cut, blowout, deep conditioning treatment and full highlights or solid colour($ 220 value). I was a bit nervous because although the package was a really good deal sometimes these deals aren’t all they cracked up to be. I ended up going for it because the are so close to my house and I really like Bumble and Bumble products, which they use exclusively. My voucher expired on November 30th, so at the beginning of this month I finally contacted them to make an appointment. They were nice when scheduling me in. I appreciated that they were open late and could accommodate a 6:30 time slot for me. I always put everything in my calendar right away because I’m completely reliant on Outlook to manage my life, but it’s still a pet peeve when places don’t call to confirm appointments a couple of days before and I appreciated that they did so. I don’t get my hair done often and I had veerrrry grown out blonde streaks done in July. The salon has a great central location, and offers late appointments Wednesday to Friday. There are meters along the street and it says on their card that there is also complimentary parking behind the building, although I walked there. The décor of the salon is minimalist and functional. There were a few boxes stacked near the back but they explained that they are renovating and it didn’t bother me or come off as messy or unprofessional. I showed up right on time and waited a couple of minutes before anyone came to greet me. Once they did my stylist, Amber, came to get me right away. She was very friendly and approachable. We chatted for a few minutes about what I was looking for; I showed her some pictures on my phone about what I wanted(which is a must if your looking for a successful salon experience in my opinion) and had a detailed chat about color tones. I have red undertones in my skin so I can’t have golden tones in my blonde, they have to be ash and platinum. I wanted to have the effect of fully blond hair with ash lowlights, which means A LOT of foils(my hair is super thick). Amber did an amazing job! She had to go and remix bleach and toner a couple of times because we ran out, and was so nice about the fact that it was taking longer than expected(because of all my hair). The color came out amazeballs! Just exactly what I asked for and looking even better than I had hoped. Even though I was clearly keeping her there super late and the salon should be closed, Amber still took the time to give me a proper blowout and styling(I had plans after my appointment). She was able to nix all my dead ends while maintaining the vast majority of my length, and the layering was perfect. I felt terrible that by the time we were done the salon should have been closed half an hour earlier, but Amber was very gracious and honestly made me feel that it was no big deal. Honestly I can be pretty particular when it comes to esthetics. My part has to be just so, the color as well, I am neurotically detail oriented about length, bangs layers, etc. Not only did Amber satisfy all of my said neuroses, she was really nice and funny. She also was willing to talk to me frankly about ways to upkeep my style on a budget, and we talked about a revisit schedule and cost that even I can find agreeable. Basically I haven’t had a salon experience this positive in years. I’m definitely going to be back to L & L, and I’m definitely going to be seeing Amber. I left happy and feeling beautiful!

I have followed my hairdresser here from a few different salons. She always gives a great haircut and a great head massage after.

My favourite Hairdresser in the world recently joined Lines and legends, so I headed over there for the first time a few weeks ago. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful(and, as usual, Lucie did a WONDERFUL job on my hair — I love both my highlights and my cut!), and the salon is a nice place. They’re also really good with the reminders and helping you set up pre-booked appointments, which is nice and useful. Generally enjoyed going here. A plus is that they use Bumble & Bumble products, which, while an indulgence I can’t afford, is certainly an enjoyable experience while you’re here getting your hair done. It’s not cheap, but if all the hairdressers here are as good as Lucie, it’s certainly worth it!
