Ohmygawd Look at my receipt and it says I bought zuchinni and mushrooms (I did not buy these items) Do you have people working here who dont know their vegetables ???
Note to self: ALWAYS check your receipt before leaving the store. Rip-off!

Have been to this Safeway through the years and recently came to pick up a few items. I liked they had the items I was looking for in the bakery, even items on sale. The produce prices can be expensive compared to other stores but when items go on sale, it can be a good deal. It would be great if they had more sale on the produce items instead of some of the canned goods.
They usually only have a few cashiers working as they have a self check out. I usually use that if I have a few items but this time I had a coupon so preferred to pay the cashier. Efficient and didn’t have to wait too long.
Decent grocery store where I can find most items I need but can be pricey if not on sale.

Nothing wrong with this place. I agree with Tim R that it’s the best alternative in this part of town. Apparently they’re the Safeway that sells the most Halloween candy in Edmonton!

Compared to other Safeway stores in the city, this one has very poor selection when it comes to fruits and vegetables. Meadowlark needs a better grocery store.

Really not a lot to say about this store — if you’re expecting anything different from the usual Safeway experience, you’re going to be disappointed.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for a solid, reliable grocery store, then by all means, stop on by. I myself only pop in here if I need to pick something up on my way to work, but it is quite convenient for that purpose.

I go to this Safeway all the time as it is the closest to my house. There is no better alternative, especially when I am on a quick grocery run; everything is available in one location. The staff are friendly and know where everything is; they will usually personally guide you to the item you’re looking for. There are a lot of senior’s homes around the area, so customer service is a crucial part for this location’s success.
This Safeway carries a good selection of organic vegetables and fruits, to freshly packed meat and seafood. Although this location is not as large as others, the range of products appears to be very similar. There is also a gasoline station located just across the parking lot.
Recently a Starbucks has been added to the location, for better or for worse. I believe this is not attracting any extra attention to the store, however just offering something else to make your grocery shopping easier.
