Food and service were pretty good. Only issue I found was it was pretty expensive but everything was fresh, guess you gotta pay if you want fresh food.

This is my go-to lunch place. Service is friendly and efficient, and the food is delicious and fresh. My personal favorite is the Chicken Zone sandwich, but most people I know love the vegetarian Spring Lite. I don’t know if their desserts are made in-house, and they are much too fancy for me, but my family members find many of them absolutely mouth-watering. Pros: –clean and well-decorated establishment –fresh food –friendly staff –vegetarian options Cons: –Sometimes so busy during weekday lunch that there is limited seating, but don’t let that stop you from giving the place a try!

I have been a fan of Swiss 2 Go for years now, even as it’s gone through one or four location changes. You just can’t beat the homemade, flavourful quality of the food. I’m not crazy about sandwiches these days, but I make a point of going to Swiss 2 Go a handful of times in a month to grab an Italian Bride and a bowl of homemade soup. I had heard about both the restaurant and The Italian Bride after it had won Avenue Magazine’s 25 Best Things to Eat in Edmonton in 2013, and it did not disappoint. This delectable sandwich is served on a homemade pretzel bun with Italian prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, bocconcini and fresh basil. There’s also usually a choice between a cream soup or a broth soup every day, on a rotating schedule, which are always delicious and unique and pair very nicely with the sandwich. The shop itself is completely adorable with tons of cute little accents that add to its theme which feels part barnyard and part Parisian café. It isn’t very big, and the tables are picnic table style, so it wouldn’t be the greatest place to go with a very large group, but it certainly accommodates smaller ones(I have never not had a table to sit at). Be sure to grab one of the stamp cards when you go, because after a certain number of sandwiches(10 I believe) you get one for free; and I have no doubt that you’ll end up back at Swiss 2 Go enough times to make it worth it.

A new favorite! Finally made it into Swiss 2 Go today to try out these famous sandwiches I’ve heard so much about. Had lunch with a friend, and lunch was wonderful. OMG! The Italian Bride was definitely worth the hype(recently voted one of the best things to eat in Edmonton, and with good reason!). Everything was wonderfully fresh– the fresh basil totally makes this a revelation. Friend had the Spring Lite. We splurged a little for dessert– she on raspberry cheesecake, and I on tiramisu. The desserts are made on site in little plastic cups, and although I was uncertain what the quality would be like, I didn’t have to worry. The tiramisu was nice and decadent and delicious as I had hoped it would be. I’m definitely coming back and working my way through the menu. But I’m also torn, because that Italian Bride was SO good.

I had been to Swiss once before, when it was at its old location beside West Edmonton Mall. I didn’t know where it had moved to and was glad to stumble upon it at its new location in the Beverly area. You won’t find your average sandwich here. These delicious sandwiches will fill you up with their fresh loaded ingredients and unique combinations! And of course… pretzel buns! Service is very friendly as well, I really enjoyed how the owner took the time to talk to her customers. The Beverly location is a lot more spacious than their previous location. There are definitely more tables and seats. I also really liked the pretzel decoration on the wall, I want one for myself hehe. Swiss 2 Go offers a variety of different sandwiches to choose from along with soups and salads. There are a few vegetarian options as well. I consider it to be somewhat healthy, which is good because a healthy eatery can be rare in the Edmonton food scene. For those with a sweet tooth, a clear case of Swiss desserts will most likely catch your eye. Everything is house-made ensuring that the Swiss food is authentic. Swiss 2 Go has combination boxes for those who want to try a bit of everything. They include a sandwich, soup or potato salad, water bottle, and small piece of Swiss chocolate. It’s wallet friendly and will leave you filled up! The potato salad was a mixture of potatoes, hard boiled eggs, pickles, apple pieces, and chopped up dill. The apple added a refreshing touch to the salad. Overall, the salad was very lightweight and the sauce wasn’t too rich or creamy. I ordered their famous Italian Bride sandwich. It was a feature in Avenue Magazine’s «25 Best Things to Eat in Edmonton» in 2013. I had also ordered it on my first visit to Swiss 2 Go. I noticed that the pretzel bun had changed since then. The first time I had it, it was a bit hard and chewy to eat. This time, it was definitely easier to eat and it had that nice crisp every soft pretzel needs! It also provided a nice salty touch to the sandwich. The sandwich is filled with proscuitto, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, and Bocconcini cheese. I got mine without the tomatoes and with swiss cheese instead just because of personal preference. I recommend trying it first with the original ingredients though. I can be a super picky eater sometimes! Anyways, the sandwich is drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. The sandwich was very flavorful and although it was the regular size, I almost couldn’t finish it. Swiss 2 Go is definitely a hidden gem with unreal sandwiches. It’s hard to find a place like this in Edmonton that offers something out of the ordinary. I recommend stopping by here for quality food in a friendly environment.

Love their new location, open, bright and interestingly Swiss. I had the vegetarian sandwich which was delicious. Love the avocado. Recommend you skip the potato salad, but great overall!

One of my favourite sandwich places in Edmonton and I don’t eat sandwiches often. The service is always prompt and friendly and everything always tastes fresh. The desserts are amazing and if they have any tarts, I can never pass them up!

Definitely love this place and it will be part of my life. I’ve been there twice and got the matterhorn both times only because I was deeply craving it. My bf gets Swiss hiker and loves it. We promise to try something new next time. Delicious. Friendly. Nice space.

I found S2Go when they were first on 118 Ave, and I was so sad when they moved to the West End. Sometimes, we would deliberately choose an errand that took us to 170 street just to have an excuse to go there for lunch. I am happy that they’re back on 118 Ave again! Every soup we’ve tried has been delicious. The potato soup is the best, the tomato basil is a close second, but we love them all. We each have a favourite sandwich and we all love the pretzel buns. The Italian Bride, the Matterhorn, they’re all grand. As much as we love lunch, the desserts are to die for! The vanilla slice is absolutely the best I’ve ever had, and I grew up going to European bakeries every weekend! It’s a little hole in the wall, not much to look at on the outside, but it’s bright, clean, and the food is impeccable. Just don’t bring your diet

We stopped in today for the first time after hearing lots of good reviews. We were the only customers there at the time and had our rambunctious 4 and 6 year olds with us. My youngest bumped her head on a table and was crying when the owner came out with a handful of chocolates for the kids and even played a little game with them before giving them the chocolates. Service was quick and the food was incredible both in flavour and quality. We will be returning soon.

The restaurant is open again! On Alberta ave! This afternoon’s lunch was at the relatively newly opened swiss2go on 118! Great location and there is parking! So happy that it is only a 5 min drive from one of my offices. I ordered their Italian bride with prosciutto, Bocconcini, fresh basil & roasted red peppers & sundried tomatoes in a fresh pretzel bun. My friend ordered their Swiss Gruyère. We love the pretzel buns! The one I ordered was also on Avenue’s 25 best things to eat in Edmonton 2013 list! Delicious! Will definitely be back! They also have soup specials for every day of the week!

Several years ago I had the honor of being the first to review Swiss 2 Go(S2G) when they first opened up in Beverly. And even after my initial experience back then, I knew this restaurant was truly something special. They moved out to the west end for a few years, and even so, I just had to make the 45 minutes trek out there to sample their amazing menu at least once a month. The good news is that just this week S2G has made it’s triumphant return back to Beverly! So this is a review of Swiss 2 Go Version 3.0. To the old, die hard fans of S2G, what can I say? You are going to find the same incredible, incomparable, high quality soups, salads, sandwiches and pastries you’ve enjoyed at the other locations. That’s reason enough by itself to come down there. Although they do seem to have added a few new sandwiches to the menu and they will be offering gelato(ice cream) in the near future. I really like the new location too. For one, they now have a public washroom which the other locations didn’t. And this restaurant is also a lot more spacious, has more tables and gets more natural light than the other ones had in the past. And to anyone reading this who has not yet tried out the wares at Swiss 2 Go? Boy, are you in for a treat. S2G has hands down, without question, no contest, the best sandwiches to be had in all of Edmonton. Period. And their soups, salads and pastries can compete with any of the high class restaurants in town. This restaurant features high quality European style foods that you simply can’t get any where else in the city. The ingredients they use there are just astonishing. They take such diverse food stuffs, magically mix them together, and the result is always incredible. I’ve got a couple of tips for you to keep in mind before you come here: #1– Come hungry and with an empty stomach. Because they use such high quality, home made ingredients(no fillers, fluff or processed garbage) the food served at S2G is very rich and filling. Even a small portion can fill you up. #2– If you want to try their delicious soups, try to come earlier in the day. Because even though they make loads of it, it is so popular it often sells out. Now top all of this off with VERY reasonable prices and amazing, old fashioned customer service and hospitality and you have an absolute winner of a restaurant. I don’t care where you live in town, make the trip to Beverly and try out the incredible menu at Swiss 2 Go. No doubt you’ll soon be a hardcore fan of this restaurant like me.

I LOVED Swiss2go. Past tense because it’s no longer here :( It has been replaced by Korean kimchi. Sad to see the owner and location gone. Hopefully they will pop up somewhere else in Yeg!
