The steam punk is so fun to watch them make!!! I haven’t had any food yet but the menu makes my mouth water. I did have an apple pie with whipped cream that was really great. They need more seating and longer hours though… 5pm closing time is way too early!

Thank you Saint James for existing. Thoughtful and well-executed menu(I have yet to eat something that I didn’t go back for at least twice) and coffee you can’t find anywhere else in the city brewed perfectly. Not to mention the staff is fantastic. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff who are clearly passionate about what they do(which is refreshing) Yes, the space is tight and tables are hard to come by, but definitely worth the wait. I waited 4 years for a place like this to open, I can wait 15 minutes for a table. They’re still pretty new so kinks are totally forgivable. See you again! And again. And then again.

So we arrived to the tiny spot for a sit down quick bite. Upon walking in we weren’t sure wether to order or grab a table so we thought we should wait in line. As we waited 10 minutes in the line to place our order, another customer who just walked in tried to steal a table of people leaving. As we informed her we were waiting for a table in front of the cashier we realized People in front of us were actually waiting for a table so we had to give it to them. Then when we were ordering our food, she snuck into the next available table. Fine! Some people are just rude. but when we informed the guy working at the front that we were waiting for a table he said the staff is too small to patrol. Then as we were two feet away he and the customers behind us(who know the staff) made rude comments about how they weren’t going to make a fuss, and the guy who worked there said«hey you can’t make everyone happy» directly in front of us. The food was good but the uncomfortable and unorganized dining area is confusing and the staff being rude about it left a bad taste in our months. Needless to say we took our food to go, because there wasn’t a table and we felt so uncomfortable.

Lovely concept and very friendly staff. The new star of James Street in Hamilton. I’ve only had a coffee and baked good to go but the breakfast menu is calling to me!

Absolutely excellent. Hometown guy opens up shop and does his city proud. The coffee is delicious, the menu is beautiful, the baked goods are made in house and can start a crazy addiction. Be warned! You can tell they put great effort in ingredients and the space is one you want to stay. It feels like the evolution of Hamilton into a future that’s crazy exciting. Go here. Don’t think twice.
