So this was my first time going to a Korean BBQ. It was pretty good. Ox tongue was the best. At a place like this to me it’s more about the experience rather than the food. To speak to the food, it was bland. Not very exciting or special. But it was fun to cook.

A lot of meat! Suitable for meat-lovers! Dinner buffet is about 20 bucks each~~the shrimp is not that fresh but we do love the ox tongue and lamp!

U Shao was a first for me, in more ways than one. It was my first time eating Korean BBQ, and it was also my first time having to cook the food myself at a restaurant. I wasn’t really feeling it. I expected the food to be pretty spectacular since I had to cook it myself. It wasn’t. There wasn’t really very much selection either. It was either shrimp, beef, pork, or chicken. There were some veggies too, they had asparagus and onion. None of the food was that great. Now, I don’t know if the food wasn’t great because I didn’t cook it perfectly, or it just wasn’t great meat, but I could have gone somewhere else and had a better meal, for less money, and I wouldn’t have had to cook it myself either. One good takeaway from my experience at U Shao was kimchi. It was my first time trying it and I liked it a lot, that was the only thing I ate very much of. I didn’t have to cook it either! First and last time I will be eating at U Shao. It was an experience I guess, and there is a first time for everything, so try it out if you must, but I can’t recommend it.
