Dollarama

There are two Dollaramas in Leduc, which might seem excessive, but back when I was growing up there were like 10 Dollar Stores in Leduc. Two seems pretty reasonable, and if I’m going to a Dollarama in Leduc (there’s another Dollar store by the High School) then this is the Dollorama I’m going to gravitate to. The one in Leduc Common can be stupidly busy (and Leduc Common is set up really weird and can be a pain to get out off). This one is on 50^th Street, next to the Salvation Army and Snap Fitness. It’s a bit quieter, and I find the selection is a bit better.
Being a dollar store you can only expect dollar quality for the items you’re getting. There are several things however that I love picking up at the dollar store. Like gift bags for birthdays and Christmas. I hate, hate, hate wrapping gifts with wrapping paper. I put every present I give in a gift bag, and the gift bags at the dollar store are reasonably priced. I wouldn’t buy dog food or dog treats here, but I got a pack of tennis balls for a dog I’m watching over the holidays for a $ 1. On my last visit to the Dollarama I also picked up a cool zebra print file folder which I’ll use to file my 2015 paperwork like taxes etc.
When I was looking for a specific item the staff member I asked knew exactly where it was and was able to point my in the right aisle right away. Sometimes the line at the checkout can be a little slow, but usually it’s not too bad. The aisles are wide, and organized, and unlike the other Dollarama in Leduc Common the shelves are stocked well. If you’re in Leduc and you need to pick up something from the dollar store, this would be my first pick.
