I love this location. The staff are very friendly and greet me by name and know my beverage along with other family members.

Service could’ve been a lot better both times I was there. Walked in and ordered an egg nog latte waited and waited while the barista was having an excellent conversation… I guess and failed to mention my order was ready because she was too busy talking to someone ahead of me :(Yesterday, same barista, had multiple orders and not enough staff because of someone calling in, and someone just not showing up for their shift as she was busy telling customers ahead of me… too much chit chat here and not enough fast paced work. I willl go to Safeway accross the street!

For the first time in the entire history of the universe Leduc has a full fledge Starbuck’s. Yes there’s the Starbuck’s in Safeway, and that’s fine if you’re getting a drink to go, but really if you want to enjoy coffee you won’t say to someone, «hey do you want to have coffee at the grocery store where we’ll have to sit at the one table they have by the window and listen to all the people loading their groceries at the checkout til?» No you’re going to say, «let’s go to Starbuck’s» so I was quite excited to see a real Starbuck’s in Leduc, even though it’s ironically pretty close to the Safeway Starbucks. I was also quite excited that they have a drive thru. More coffee options to go? Yes please. The location is just of 50th, so it’s on a major road and easy to get to if you want a coffee before you go to Nisku/The Airport/Edmonton. The menu is pretty much like any other Starbuck’s as far as I could tell, with the same kind of drinks and food options. I went with my mom, a couple days after they opened, and it was a little busy, but not too bad. The staff were all friendly and the drinks came up pretty quickly. The one thing I find odd about this Starbuck’s is the way it’s set up inside. It’s very long and all of the tables are along the wall on the one side. There also aren’t as many tables and seating options as I’d thought there would be. It feels like it could feel a bit crowded for the people sitting if there are a lot of people in line for coffee. There is patio seating but considering it’s Alberta this will only be a feasible option for maybe 3 or 4 months a year. I did really like the Black and White Oil Derrick Photo at the back of the shop — I’m assuming it’s from The Leduc #1 so it was kind of cool for the Starbuck’s to have a local flair to it. The wifi seemed to work well on my ipod. They also close earlier than the Starbuck’s in the city(I think I saw 9pm as the closing time). Pretty much everything in Leduc is closed by 9pm, so I can’t really say that surprised me. I’m glad Leduc has another coffeeshop option. I will likely be back because they have coffee and I like coffee.
