Nothing you wouldn’t expect from a grocery store chain at the Leduc Safeway. This store has a decent bakery that has fresh products, a deli, meat counter, floral area, and fresh produce area. The shelves are stocked well, shortages and empty shelves do happen during a good sale though. I have found the staff to be friendly, especially the early morning staff. Added bonus of this store is that there is a Starbucks at this location. The line at Starbucks can be long at prime hours so plan your visit accordingly.

Safeway is one of the main grocery stores in Leduc. It’s nicely laid out, and usually well-stocked(at least whenever I’ve come here). There’s a pharmacy, and the deli section, and a Starbucks inside the store(I work at the Starbucks across the street and occasionally I’ve had to buy milk from Safeway when we run low). The staff are friendly and will help you out when you need. You can get Airmiles at Safeway, which is always nice(if you collect Airmiles). The one issue I have with Safeway is the price. Grant the Coop in Leduc is pretty much the same, and you can find the odd deal here or there at Safeway, but I find this store is really expensive. I usually only shop at Safeway when there’s some awesome Airmiles deal on for something I’m gonne buy anyway, or I’m coming here to buy milk for work(when I’m not paying for the milk so it doesn’t really matter to me how much everything is). If prices were a little higher I’d probably rate this Safeway a bit higher too, but it’s an all right grocery store if you really need something or you’re not hunting for a bargain.

I’ve been to this Safeway almost every time I visit our Leduc office. I usually come on the first day, stock up on stuff like water, snacks and grab lunch for the following day seeing as the following day is usually so busy I don’t get to go out for lunch. That being said I select something for the following day. This time around I grabbed a ham and cheese sandwich which would be a snack along with Ruffles for the evening and a sushi roll combo for the following day’s lunch. This grocery store has a somewhat decent selection of hot food but I’ve seen better. The check outs are fast and friendly and they no longer take the Safeway card but they do take Air Miles. The liquor store is all the way at the other end of the mall near Joey’s in a completely separate building. It’s sort of odd that the liquor store is still Safeway, unattached to the main grocery store and a little far from the main store.

Ever since Safeway changed ownership this store has gone downhill badly! I’ve been a faithful Safeway customer for almost 30 years and I have never not been able to fulfill my grocery list until recently. Consistently I am unable to get 30−50% of the items on my list. The shelves are so bare, I cannot understand why they do not keep dry goods fully stocked? Number 1 rule of retail merchandising! Keep shelves full and displayed nicely! And then they have box displays of product that protrude into the aisle and when it’s busy it’s hard to navigate the aisles plus it looks cheap, feels like I’m shopping at a discount market not Safeway where you are charged a premium price. Then to top off everything I tried to get ahold of customer service through their online form, and it wouldn’t submit no matter what I tried. Maybe their complaint department is full? Wouldn’t surprise me. I do not know if other Safeway locations are the same as I only shopped at this one, but as of this week I am taking my grocery shopping to Edmonton as this was the last of any quality shopping in Leduc. Safeway, if you’re intersted in keeping me as a customer please reply to my comment.

This is my favorite grocery store. Living in Beaumont, I can either go to one of the two stores in town, or head to south Edmonton or Leduc. I choose to take the 15 minute drive to the Leduc Safeway. They usually have everything I am looking for, and I like earning air miles on my purchase. The in-store Starbucks is a nice touch also. UPDATE: forgot to add, they have lots of «cart-returns» in the parking lot too. Not a big deal, but nice that I can always park close to one so I don’t have to leave my daughter alone in the car while I hike across the parking lot with my cart to get my quarter back :)

This review is for the Starbucks inside the Safeway, not the whole grocery store. I took the BIGGEST detour into Leduc after opting out of getting a coffee in Red Deer. I couldn’t for the life of me find this Starbucks, but I saw a Safeway and figured it was there. Apparently my old eyes didn’t see the green Starbucks sign on it. My bad. I went in and there was no barista behind the counter. I waited for a few minutes and she appeared. She was super cute and pleasant. I ordered my standard Grande Soy Latte. I noticed that they were using So Good Omega 3 Original, which is not the standard Starbucks soy(which is gross anyway). I was interested to see what it tastes like… It tastes like crap. End of story. Never coming back. Either wait till you get to Edmonton or stop in Red Deer. 12⁄30
