Ricky’s All Day Grill

Burgers are awesome! A little pricier for a dinner in the same building as a gas station but you sure get a lot of meaty goodness.

Nice place. I think it might be a franchise but for a restaurant attached to a gas station I was impressed. Super fast service as well — not what I was after but it’s hard to complain about that. The menu is large and varied. The usual fare — steaks and sandwiches and pastas and soups and salads. The flavor was good and portion sides were generous. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting but the portions and flavor made theta ok.

We also ordered crab cake Benny and it was excellent. Crab cakes were moist, eggs poached medium soft and sufficient sauce for the dish. Host very pleasant and accommodating and table service was excellent. I stopped here a couple of weeks ago and had a grilled cheese sandwich wit fabulous tomato soup. We’ll definitely be back.

The décor is nice and the host was great but food was slow in coming. I ordered the crab cake benny which looked delicious in the menu with lots of sauce and a generously sized crab cake but I was disappointed with the actual dish. The crab cake was a disappointment. It was drier than expected. I didn’t get a lot of crab flavour. The poached egg was poached hard and sauce was sparse. This made the whole dish dry. The coffee was really good, though.
I still have hope for this place. There is lots of variety in this chains menu and I am willing to try a lunch to see if they do that better. My husband had the big breakfast with three types of generously portioned kinds of meat (ham, bacon and sausage). He really enjoyed the size and everything was cooked perfectly. He is looking forward to trying the burger menu (it appears to be a specialty for this chain).
