Wyndham Garden Fallsview, Niagara Falls

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds, but… this place really is a bare-​bones operation. Couldn’t get a bowl and a spoon to bring back to my room… I could probably get that at a Super 8 or a Travelodge. No coffee or tea in the lobby, unlike most Wyndham «Garden Inns» (which, by the way, are a joke compared to the fantastic Hilton Garden Inns that Wyndham no doubt ripped off). The window in the room is pretty small too, and gives it kind of a claustrophobic feeling. Oh, and it’s $ 15 for parking, which is par for the course for the area but isn’t mentioned if you book through Hotwire. Good for a clean night’s sleep I guess, but if you’re looking for atmosphere or the kind of amenities you’d usually find at a hotel of this level… keep looking.

Complimentary upgrade to a family suite, but no free breakfast. Charge for parking but location was decent — walkable to the casino.

This hotel was not worth the nightly rate. Let me start with the positives. The hotel was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. They are located right outside the main tourism area; but still within walking distance. But that is not enough to explain a $ 228 per night rate. The «kitchenette» is only a microwave, small fridge and eating area. There was no coffee in the room. They do not offer breakfast with that rate. The rooms are dark. Lastly, do not be fooled by the «Falls view» in the name or even the words city view. You cannot see the river let alone the Falls. The city was no more than the looking at the parking lot. I was very disappointed that the hotel did not live up to brand.

Nice and clean location that is walking distance to everything, which is important because ever where you go in Niagara Falls you have to pay for parking. Oh if you missed it, $ 14 a night now to park at this location.
Perkins restaurant on premises and you get 25% off if you are a guest.
A bar and lounge with big screen TV on main floor
Indoor pool and hot tub is nice, a little on small side but fine. Way too much chlorine in pool and it would be nice to have some type of ventilation in the pool area, very stuffy.
The room was clean, comfortable beds, plenty of room.
Front desk was helpful when asked a question.
Ice and vending machines on opposite floors. My advice is get a room on a floor with vending and not ice machine, quieter.

I despise this hotel actually and I didn’t even get to experience the hotel. This happens two years ago, but I am still holding a grudge against this place. Although the review is not about the interior but let me tell you about the customer service.
First, my boyfriend and I booked this hotel through groupon, it was a snowy day. Actually snowy is an understatement because it was actually a blizzard storm in Boston. My boyfriend’s car broke down and refuse to start in the middle of the road so we tried to get it fix at the nearest dealership. they told us that there is no way we can drive this car to Canada in this condition. So we called the hotel informing that we are unable to make it due to the snow storm.
the hotel manager told us that there is nothing they can do about it, they told us to call groupon since we bought it through there. So we did.
Groupon told us that if the hotel manager said yes to the refund then they will follow their wishes as well. Then we called the hotel to inform that they can refund they money for us.
OF FUCKING COURSE THE HOTEL MANAGER SAID NO. it’s like he is playing a game with me, when he could use explain to me that he does not want to refund me the money.
Fine, I understand, because there’s a 24 hour cancellation policy so I asked him if he does hotel credit instead because I wanted to go on a sunnier day but they refused. I mean I paid for 2 days, it’s not cheap at all. Even if I can’t get my refund for the first day, what about the 2^nd day? What a rip off
We ended up going home in a blizzard. I mean I would rather donate my money to an orphanage house then to Wyndham Garden Fallsview. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My family stayed for 2 nights on the 2^nd floor. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It’s a 5 min walk from the main attractions and in more quiet area. One downside is that our room had a distinct and strong bleach or cleaning agent smell. The pool is tiny and has a strong chlorine smell but you get over it in a few minutes. The upside? The staff was nice and friendly. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Although, bring bottled water with you. There is none provided with the room and it can get pricey.
We purchased our stay with a Groupon which came with some free tastings at a few local vineyards. It also came with free drink tickets at the bar and the staff working at the bar was really lovely as well. The hotel has free WIFI, paid parking $ 12/​day (happens everywhere), no micro/​fridge unless you upgrade, basic cable package, and charges an extra $ 20 CAD per person over 17 that you add to your room. Vending machines and ice machines on every other floor.

Not all that it’s cracked up to be.
This will be short and to the point.
1. NO view of the falls as they describe on the web site.
2. Moved the bed closer to the wall for my kids only to find tobacco from a cigar all over under the bed with dust bunnies.
3. Over by the other bed there where black bugs crawling on the head board.
4. Roaches in the bathroom and kitchen area.
5. Boric acid poured all along the floor and behind the head board.
This place is a disaster from day one.
When my wife showed the manager the pics of everything they said we brought this stuff with us i.e. bugs and boric acid powder. Yeah right.
The only thing missing was a 5 dollar hooker and a bottle of thunderbird.
Do yourself a favor and google map this dump and see for yourself and look at the pics I posted. Pics do tell the truth.

It’s actually $ 76 with taxes, not $ 54, on that special with groupon. Don’t forget about their gracious $ 12 parking + taxes. Casino parking around the corner is $ 5. Fantastic view of 100% concrete slab on the 2^nd floor. Is this what prison feels like? Wait, my bum doesn’t feel sore. Entertainment view, no slab, gives you the view of the casion/​city for an extra $ 30. Or $ 40 with a whirlpool. I had a nice blood splotch on my pillow which they refused to upgrade my room. So sweet of ‘em. I stayed on a Sunday night and there were rooms available. Ian who always answers the phone is informative, but looks like a sociopath. Stay at the Hilton instead!

I stayed for 4 nights, we had a late arrival, I notified the hotel before hand and they had everything ready for us when we arrived. The room was very clean, the beds were super comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay at the Wyndham Gardens. I highly recommend it. Parking was $ 12 a night, but they charge parking everywhere you go.

This hotel could be a five-​star stay except I felt really «nickel and dimed» here.
I was really irritated with having to pay $ 12 a day for parking when there is literally a parking lot directly across the street from the hotel at $ 5 every 24 hours. I wasn’t even notified that I was going to be paying for parking until I received my bill on the day of my check-​out.
There is a TIF tax of ($ 4 — $ 5) a day. Don’t know what a TIF tax is? Read this (
) and get annoyed.
My final complaint I guess could be more with
but after taxes, my stay would reportedly cost us $ 298 (CAD — Canadian Dollars) /​$ 261 (USD — United States Dollars). My bill when it came to checkout? $ 373.96 CAD.
Ok, I hate to come off negative by starting the view off with those negative factors but I found them necessary. Aside from that, our stay here was pleasant. The bed was super comfortable. The sheets and comforters were soft and absorbed you, while you slept. The pillows were satisfactory. Having HBO was a nice touch. The air conditioning /​heater was loud when it would kick on, though. It didn’t bother me but it bothered my fiancé.
There is a solid indoor pool and hot tub. Exercise room, as well. They also have a small arcade room with about five games in there. The bar is nice too and they’ll stay open really late, as long as you’re hanging out and drinking — it is listed as closing at 11 PM. We kept asking the kind bartender, if they really closed at 11 and we were keeping her but she insisted that she stayed as long as people were here.
I’d recommend staying here but be aware of having to pay for parking, regardless if you’re notified or not and having to be an absurd amount of taxes — one of which is voluntarily on the hotel’s part.

Very nice place to stay. Very clean very friendly. Room are well maintained hall ways are clean and quite. The only things they don’t offer free parking and it pretty pricey.

Horrible customer service. Called and booked a king jacuzzi suite for a birthday weekend away. Got to the hotel and they bumped us out of the room to a standard room and brought up no jacuzzi available. Charges were for a king jacuzzi room, so they had to refund and change amounts. Put us in a crappy room. Will never recommend anyone to stay here. What’s the point of making a reservation if you can not get what you reserved!

Cleanliness is the most important thing for me. The room was really clean (sheets, bathroom etc.). I wouldn’t give it 5 stars because the bathroom smelled a little mildew-​ish when we arrived (it got better and we never said anything). The location is good-​you can walk to the Falls or there are two bus lines on the block.
We paid for parking-​which is kinda silly. It’s $ 12 a day there, but there are parking lots across the street for $ 5.
The wifi is a little spotty, but not terrible.
Be sure to ask at the front desk for coupons for free wine and chocolate tastings.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The check in and check out was very fast. They let us check in early, around 1pm, which was great. We received a coupon book and 25% off for the meal in the hotel’s restaurant. They also said that if we use our coupon, we can go to front desk to take another one.
The room was very clean, spacious, smelled nice and had a big window. We got the entertainment view and the room 507, which was awesome as we could see the fireworks perfectly. From a 6−9^th floor I am sure we would be able to see the falls or at least a part of it since on 5^th floor we could already see the water level.
Front desk staff was very friendly. Also every time we stepped out of the room in the morning, we were greeted by the housekeeping staff asking if we needed any services for that day. They really made us feel very welcomed.
Beds were comfortable, showers pretty strong, spacious closets and overall look of the room was great.
We probably would not choose this hotel if we would not find a deal on
since prices for the weekends are a bit higher. I recommend going to this hotel on weekdays if you do not have a deal and want to save money.
Also from the hotel there is a walking distance to the falls; about 15 minutes.
You have to pay 12 $+tax a night for the parking on hotel grounds or 5 $ a day on the public parking right beside the hotel.
Overall I was extremely happy with this hotel during our 2 nights stay. If we will ever go back to Niagara, this will be one of our first choices for the accommodation.
I also recommend requesting an entertainment view room on the highest floor possible. As low as 5^th floor is perfect for seeing fireworks and 6 – 9 would give you a look at the falls.

Room was great, service not so great
However, I would definitely stay here again. The room was nicely designed and had a modern look, and we enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub in our room. We loved the large spacious bed! The mattress and the pillows felt so great sinking into after a day of wine tasting and walking around. The room was spacious considering we had a Jacuzzi tub, king size bed, desk, arm chair, and end tables.
While you do have to pay for parking it’s only $ 12 US a day which isn’t bad considering you can just walk down to the Falls from the hotel. We did that many times during our stay because we attempted to get parking but failed. The street pay station wouldn’t take any money, and yes we were using local currency, and the other pay lot wanted $ 15 and looked full. So we just drove back to the hotel and walked down.
Bit of advice: Skip the bar, maybe. We came here on a Groupon special where we got two free drinks each night we stayed. Well, after our first attempt at the bar we didn’t even bother with the other two free drinks, which is saying a lot. I don’t give up free things easily. There was only one server and we waited nearly 15 minutes just for her to acknowledge us. The bar wasn’t that crowded either and most customers already had their drinks. We ended up waiting 25 minutes to get two simple cocktails. We actually almost just left especially because she took another person ahead of us even though we were next. Then she gave us a hard time about not having tickets when we kept explaining that she already took it from us. Two other patrons had to confirm that before she finally gave us our drinks. Not worth it!
We ended up having the same server two days later in the restaurant. Again, she was extremely slow and not the most pleasant. There were two waitresses and only four tables filled. I didn’t understand why we had to wait over five minutes for water. The food was excellent but we were on a strict time budget. If we stayed here again we would just skip the bar and restaurant all together.

This hotel has great beds, you feel like you are sleeping on a fluffy cloud! The customer service attendants at the entry were cheerful, the location was ideal, the room was spacious and overall our stay was good.
The reason why I can’t give this hotel additional stars is because after my friend showered she had red blotches all over her face. I don’t know if it was a reaction to the shower, the water or the cleaning products used. I also notice the bath tub could of used a deeper cleaning. But aside from that I would come back

#1 reason you wouldn’t stay here — if the way they hang the toilet paper bothers you. Or, if you don’t like the location because it’s a few blocks up from the falls. Honestly, I don’t think I’d stay anywhere else if I returned to Niagara Falls.
We liked the location — close enough to walk anywhere along the views from Maid of the Mist to Horseshoe Falls. Away from the commercial onslaught.
Free internet. Ice on alternating floors. $ 12 parking fee was a bit steep — could have parked out the backside for $ 4.
Newly renovated. Lounge off lobby is really comfortable. Good place to wait for your friends while they take off out the back door on you. Tile shows every drop of water, expensive type of tile, but I wouldn’t put it in my own bathroom. Real quality fixtures in bathroom, big showerhead and slow closing toilet seat. Very comfortable mattress and pillows. Nice framed pictures of the falls on the walls.
Could be a few more TV channel choices, but you don’t go to Niagara Falls for TV. A bit understaffed at the desk one time — three phone lines going off and 3 – 4 customers waiting in line is a bit much for one person.
Good price through Priceline. Perkins restaurant onsite.

Nice enough mid-​market hotel in the falls. Free parking with your room. Free in-​room internet. No mini bar. Ice machines on every other floor. And in summer the machines are working over time. Excellent location. It’s a quick walk to the upmarket part of Niagara Falls and the headless criminal museum portion. Very easy to get to right off the highway into the falls. Quite adequate indoor pool/​hot tub area.
We got this as part of some package: it came with three winery tastings, a chocolate factory tour, $ 15 off at the Perkins restaurant attached to the hotel, and a host of other little goodies. You have to get yourself to Niagara on the Lake (take the scenic route along Niagara parkway, especially during Wedding Saturdays when everyone is coming down the main route into the town). But the winery tastings are pretty decent values.
Everything here is quite new. Nice clean bathrooms. Samsung flat panel TVs in the room with HBO. The in-​room AC is a touch loud.

This is a recent new/​renovated hotel, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The best part is their location, this hotel was very close to the Niagara falls so you can actually walk there. I believe they charge you $ 33 CA dollars for parking, but if you drive a little be more I believe you can find cheaper parking. The Hotel is not very big but it has a small bar and «Perkins «which is available for breakfast/​lunch. It’s not a very fancy hotel, but if you find a good deal on the rates then I would recommend it.
Cleanliness: 10 out of 10
Staff friendliness: 10 out of 10
Hotel amenities: 7 out of 10

There’s only one real reason to stay here: THE BEDS. Oh em gee they are so damn comfortable! Probably one of comfiest hotel beds I have EVER slept on. You can be rest assured that you will get a good night sleep here.
It’s a nice, chic little hotel that’s very clean and spacious. If you get a good price here, it is definitely worth staying. It’s only a few minutes drive (under 5 minutes) to get to Clifton Hill… you could probably even walk there in the summer when the weather’s good.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I got a good rate as it served its purpose: free Wi-​Fi, spacious room, clean bathroom with lots of towels (thank goodness), close location to Clifton Hill attractions, and a SUPER comfortable bed (seriously should’ve checked what brand it was)
Tip: Don’t park at the hotel for $ 12/​day (WTF?)… it’s $ 3 for the green P parking lot directly behind the hotel (no re-​entry privileges) or $ 5 all day parking at the theatre lot across the street (2 – 3 mins walk away from the hotel).
