Holy cow. Can you say chocolate? They offer so many free samples and they’re so great. We purchased malted milk balls and chocolate covered cookie balls. Both amazing! Never knew there was a chocolate factory here. Only wish we could have taken the tour on our Niagara Fun Tour as well! Next time for sure!

Received a voucher for a tour as part of a hotel package. We couldn’t do the tour owing to the timings not working out for us, however, decided to check out the facility to perhaps purchase some tasty treats. It is located fairly far away from either of Niagara on the Lake(main area) or The Falls area. There was a lady staffing the shop who was busy packaging chocolate but didn’t seem to friendly or open to questions about the shop. There was a variety of chocolate products for sale; nothing eye-catching and the prices seemed fairly high compared many other chocolatier’s. The place smelled delicious though!

Chocolate FX was included in our stay package at the Ramada through Wag Jag. I would go back. Great experience and amazing chocolate. The tour was a little short but the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would love to go back and get their cocoa mulch for my garden.

Nothing wrong with chocolate, but tour was horrible. Very uninformative and was just focused on selling. Only lasted about 15 mins, and tour guide was not professional. Do not actually get tour of inside factory, you just look through windows to watch packaging and chocolate coating.

I wouldn’t mind going to work at a place that smells as good as Chocolate FX. Our hotel stay came with a free tour of Chocolate FX, so away we went. The tour takes place in a long hallway with windows that allow you to look into the factory. The tour guide started by describing where chocolate comes from, holding up some 8×10 photos of the cocoa bean at various stages and with some plastic containers of visual samples. After the tour, we walked back to the store part of the factory, where we were each given a free chocolate(I picked a truffle and my husband picked a chocolate covered strawberry). A nice little trip.

You can’t go wrong when you walk into a factory/store that smells like heavenly fresh chocolate, has walls covered with treats for sale, and some samples. Worth a stop.

Excellent tour guide. Wendy was very knowledgeable about the chocolates– from its beginnings. Wilma — the owner of the chocolate fx was down to earth and super friendly. She even came out and delivered is just made white chocolates! Awesome service and tour. Highly recommend this place

Took the tour. Barb was wonderful and knowledgeable. Entire staff was very warm and friendly. The selection was amazing, all such delicious and handcrafted treats. Recommend the raspberry covered coffee beans! Watching the equipment work was really interesting. Very cool history of how they started. The voucher we had from our groupon hotel package included the tour and we each got a free truffle and/chocolate covered strawberry. So delicious! A must visit. Not 5 stars because they were a bit pricy, but I guess you get that when it’s all homemade.

We had vouchers for a chocolate tour and vouchers for a wine tour but only time for one. We picked Chocolate FX and know it was the right decision. Highly recommend a stop if you are in the area. The staff is so friendly. They have plenty of samples – and they don’t judge you if you eat your weight in chocolate! The prices are what you expect for fine chocolate. I would make the trip up again just to stop here!

This tour is perfect on a rainy day for someone with a sweet tooth. Our hotel gave us a complimentary tour pass. They have a sample bar with all kinds of things dipped in chocolate. Barb gave us a lovely tour that was pretty informative and lively. I’m not sure if the chocolate is the best I’ve ever had, but it was definitely perfect for a rainy day.

My friend and I went here because we received vouchers with a hotel groupon we purchased. It was much quicker than anticipated, but the seeing the chocolate process was interesting. It was our tour guide’s first tour, but she did a great job. The chocolate covered cashews I bought were delicious and we greatly enjoyed our free chocolate covered strawberry(part of our voucher) at the end of the tour. Nice, affordable option. A good stop on the way to some wine tastings, I would go back for one of their chocolate classes, they sounded like fun.

Chocolate FX was our«bonus stop» on the Niagara Fun Tours wine tour. I felt slightly baited into spending more money, but it was a welcome stop, and Chocolate FX has some good stuff. As soon as you walk in, down the long hallway, you are slapped in the face with the aroma of chocolate. You can see through windows into their production facility, although there wasn’t anything going on when we were here. Inside the shop, there are some stations set-up with plenty of samples. Depending on what you’re comfortable spending on chocolate, some of the novelty items are quite expensive. I purchased a small bag of chocolate covered caramel popcorn for $ 4 and a container of white chocolate covered Swedish berries for almost $ 8. There’s a lot of good stuff here, and it’s tough deciding what you want! There’s also a rack of clearance items toward the back of the shop. I noticed a lot of people missed it completely or didn’t even stop to look at it. Some of the items that were available to sample were also available on clearance, so it’s worth a look. If you’re really feeling indulgent, they have chocolate covered strawberries and ice wine truffles, but those start at around $ 3/each. They are open every day, from 10:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m., but there is no listing on their website about when you can actually view their production lines. If you find something you can’t live without back home, you can order online and they’ll ship it to you.
