Truffle Treasures Chocolate Factory

Great hot chocolate and great service! We tried both the milk chocolate and dark chocolate versions and they were both very good. The ladies working were very friendly. We also had a chocolate /​peanut /​pretzel /​marshmallow dessert which was delicious also. Will definitely be back.

Best hot chocolate I have ever had in Ottawa. Freshly made from your choice of chocolate chips (milk, semi, bitter) and milk. I had the Aztec with a delightful mix of spices and a chili burn that doesn’t disturb the chocolate taste but only enhances it. Will return to try the rest of the menu, one by one.

Their hazelnut hot chocolate milk is like drinking a Ferrero Rocher…
and Ferrero Rocher’s make me super horny

Really great gelato, for example really tart grapefruit flavor. Unfortunate 5pm closing on Sundays even on a warm May evening — hopefully they open later for summer!

The best gelato in Ottawa, hands down. Extremely light, fluffy and delicious with flavours like nutella skor, blood orange, happy bacci and others. The stores are beautiful and eclectic and the staff is always friendly. The chocoaltes and truffles they make are probably the best homemade chocolates in Ottawa with exotic flavours like spicy mango. My favourite are the giant peanute butter cups — the beat Reese’s for sure! The two locations here are very convenient — the Bank St. location is a nice walk for anyone close to downtown. This place has definitely become addictive — my boyfriend and I go there almost every weekend in the summer.

Oh how I love gelato. Truffle Treasures gets it just right, in my humble opinion. The gelato is always creamy and smooth and they always have a ton of creative, delicious flavors. My favorites are peanut butter-​skor, cheery mania and sexy chocolate. Other than the amazing gelato, their selection of chocolates is also above par. I adore their peanut butter cups and have tried a few of their amazing truffles.
In addition to the deliciousness of the edibles, I have to comment on the staff. Every time I’ve visited they have always been amazing — friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I also love the video that runs in the shop about the legacy of the truffles, and shows how they’re made.
My only complaint about Truffle Treasures is the seating. There’s not too much room to sit if you’re with more than one other person. Others have said it’s a bit pricey, but it’s totally worth it to get me some of that stellar gelato!
