Zaki Broast & Grill

Fresh tasty food. This place is not some Shawarma shop, it’s much better. They have amazing felafel. The portion sizes are big and the prices are great. It takes a few minutes to get your food because they grill it to order. Very clean and lots of seating.

Slower service, but amazing food. We frequent this place when we are in Ottawa. Good halal food and clean restaurant. I got the steak sandwich which was amazing. Flavourful and tender meat with cheese. I recommend
Kids got the chicken tenders which were over fried so a little hard. Fries were on point as was the chicken breast wrap.

I went here for dinner with my husband and parents recently. We had the family meal deal, which was $ 23.99 for 8 pieces of broasted chicken, large fries, 4 dinner rolls, a tub of garlic sauce and a 2 litre bottle of pop.
My parents had never had broasted chicken before and while they liked it they said it tasted just like fried chicken.
I found the chicken a bit bland and felt that it could use a bit more seasoning, but overall it was good. The chicken was moist and the skin was crispy. The pieces were a little on the small side though. I think they use really tiny chickens. We got 2 drumsticks, 2 thighs, 2 wings and 2 breasts, which is an entire chicken but a very small chicken.
The fries were good. They were regular cut fries with seasoning sprinkled on top. The garlic sauce was mayo-​based and incredibly garlicky. My breath smelled like garlic for hours afterwards.
For some reason we got 2 biscuits and 2 dinner rolls. The biscuits were good but the dinner rolls were a bit hard and dry.
For the price, it was an awesome deal — dinner for 4 for less than $ 30.
This location is much bigger than the one on Baseline. It’s very bright and clean. The staff are nice.
You order at the counter and they give you your receipt with your order number on it. When your food is ready they call your number and you come and get your food. When you’re done you clean up after yourself. So it’s pretty much like a fast food restaurant.
It’s in a strip mall so there is plenty of free parking. It’s in the same plaza as the Winners, Staples, Dollarama, and Factory Direct.

Never disappointed in the food, always fresh and tasty!
Good prices and great location. Always find it really clean and the staff friendly.
Definitely worth seeking out for a place several steps above the regular diner style food.

This is location is way better than the original. This location never seems to run out of items and the food even seems to taste better. The location is much larger so seating is never a problem. the dining area and especially the bathrooms are always clean.
The only knock on them is that food always takes so long and I wish the menu was a lot more elaborate.
The positive is that the price to quality ratio is very high and they nail all the classics. The Philly cheese steak is my personal fave. I don’t recommend the beef burger but the chicken burger is awesome. The chicken platter is also excellent.

Zaki’s have kept their standards and quality upto par after moving into their new location. One might ask themselves why it’s so goood :)
