Just recently had my helix pierced at Sinister Tattoo. The place was tricky to find but once I was there a very professional guy helped me asked me what I wanted and we proceeded to get started. The piercing went very smoothly and painless.(Which doesn’t bother me) I was happy w the results. However, it’d be nice if they carried a line of jewellery such as LeRoi, Industrial Strength or my personal favorite Ananometal and some aftercare products like a Woundwash solution or suggest the use of a product like that. SeaSalts just aren’t safe enough, that’s old school… Helix or other cartilage piercings are so much harder to heal and prone to infection. Other than that the overall service was great. The only other thing is I was disappointed that only the owner can put certain pieces«back in» so I had to head over to my regular studio to have that done, they at Sinister, don’t do ear stretching, said id have to stretch lobes myself … Not sure why exactly… Plus he wouldn’t do anything below the belt… But the piercings were there, just needed the jewelry put back in. Left feeling frustrated. Can’t wait to see more APP Certificates out there.

Aaron is my go to guy! He is an amazing tattoo artist! He currently just did a coverup for me with a peony flower and it looks amazinnngg! You cannot see my previous tattoo at all! The color blending and shadows is just awesome! Highly recommend Aaron if anyone wants anything done! Made sure I was doing okay the whole time since the tattoo was 4 hours, but he made that 4 hours fun! Love sinister skin!

Made an appointment today for my little dude(8 years old) to get his ear pierced. He does not like pain at all, but really wanted to do it. We wanted to get it done right with a needle not a gun and Justin made the whole experience unbelievably comfortable. He let him know that no matter what that he could bail out anytime and it was okay, he made the experience awesome for my boy. 20 minutes after we left he asked if we could go back and get his other ear pierced. If costumer service means anything to you this is the place.

My daughter wanted a tattoo and had an appointment with Aaron. She had an appointment and we walked in. He was on the computer as we introduced ourselves. Right away I got the feeling he was annoyed with something since there was no eye contact, no smile, no «how are you», no nothing. My daughter told him what she was looking for and asked if he could draw something up before getting it done. He said he doesn’t do that, he did it recently for someone and he’s going back and forth with him in an email and he’s «hating his life right now». I also asked him if he’s done a specific flower my daughter was wanting and he said«yes, he thinks he can do it». I’m not looking for an «I think». I’m looking for a «yes, I’ve done it and can do it». This is something that is going to be permanently inked, an artist needs to know they can do it or offer the job to another artist that can. My daughter did make an appointment and emailed him on a Wednesday with some questions. She never received an email from him by Sunday. Yes, four days. Not feeling comfortable about everything she ended up canceling her appointment. I gave one star because I had to and because he allowed her to come in one hour earlier for the consultation.

I got my 2nd lobes and my rook pierced here just minutes ago by Justin. He was amazingly kind and professional. He explained everything he would do to pierce me before he did it, gave me a breathing technique and talked me through all 3 piercings. It was a great experience! Nothing bad to say about anyone in the building. Very friendly, comforting environment. I would absolutely recommend Sinister Skin to any friends wanting a piercing.

I went here to get my tragus pierced and it was $ 65 and that included the jewelry. This is a pretty good price considering most places charge $ 50 — $ 60 just for the piercing itself then usually at least another $ 25 for the jewelry. Anyways, on August 1st, I dropped in to get my tragus pierced and I got it pierced by Justin. He was very nice and helped calm my nerves. He made sure that I understood all the aftercare and even told me exactly how he was doing the piercing. I also really like the style of the shop. Everything seemed very clean, all the staff were very nice and my tragus piercing looks great! I would defiantly recommend this place.

I got my first tattoo here along with friend Vera and cousin and friend from the UK. I found them to do a great job for of us. Two newbies and two already had tattoo s so we had Ryan do ours and if I ever wanted another for sure I would return. Found them to be helpful caring and informative and I love my tattoo I get lits of compliments on it. J

The tattoo business is an interesting one, in that your experience really depends on who you are with. I’ve had amazing and poor experiences in the same shop. I’ve worked with 4 different guys here for various and been happy with 3. The one person I wasn’t happy with was because he spent more time smoking and doing consultations with walk-ins than he did tattooing. For me, I have limited time to spend in a shop so I like to get the job done in as few sittings as possible. For the last few years, I’ve been seeing Dave at SS and I really enjoy spending a few hours with him and the work he does. He is a great guy, no ego and has great taste in music, from metal to jazz. And dude still gets excited about his work, which can be rare in an experienced artist. Right now, the entire team is really solid and the service is great. Good music, good staff and a solid environment.

It was the summer of 2008. I was young, Freshly 18 about to get my first tattoo. They were professional and friendly. but my tattoo itself was kind of brutal. Now having 10 tattoos, the Tattoo I got here was the most painful and the only one that scarred really bad. Perhaps it was just that one artist but I will probably never go back.
