I used to drive by this place a lot — when I was dropping off either of my siblings back at Uni — years ago. So I was surprised that Richmond Hill plays host to a William’s Fresh Pub. The décor isn’t much to write home about very cafeteria like with warm wood accents sprinkled through out. Ordering is pretty easy — you walk up to the cash register and order — once you have paid — they give you a number and you seat yourself. When your order is ready they bring it to you. Atmosphere — it isn’t cozy, but overall it isn’t a bad place to meet up with friends for a catch-up. Because there isn’t that much table service to be expected. Their waffle isn’t too bad — but also isn’t out of this world either. So I’ll order that over a cake or pie. Not as pricey as Demetri’s but I find it is quieter and the atmosphere isn’t as harried — which is what I look for when I want to have a catch-up with a girlfriend.

My friends and I decided to have coffee and tea after a FULL Indian meal, and this area has a lot of places that are open late. We decided upon this Williams Café location and I was very impressed. I have been to other Williams locations and the food and coffee’s are pretty average — I find with coffee establishments, it really is about the atmosphere, the chats and gossips, or it can be about studying/working. For those who live in the Richmond Hill area, I can safely say this Café location would be a great study place. We arrived pretty late, around 11pm and the place was fairly packed. Clean, and lots of seats available. Prices are nothing to rave or pout about as one small tea, one medium hot chocolate and one brownie totalled $ 7.43. Before we knew it, the lights started to dim on us and one of my friends asked if the place was about to close. The guy said that it would be closing in half an hour, so FYI — this William’s café location closes at midnight Friday’s. In my mind, this was a slice of happiness and a perfect way to end the evening: laughing with good and close friends, catching up on life whilst enjoying a cup of Earl Grey tea. If you really are a fan of Williams Fresh Café’s and are looking for somewhere spacious and clean, then let this be your next destination.

Dont like the new management only cuz of the service, on the weekend it’s hard to find a clean table, the menu is changed a bit, but still good for casual dining, I have worker her and also have enjoyed dinning here, and love the food, it’s nice simple and fills you up

I absolutely love this place! It’s become such a hangout spot for my friends and I, with its great food and coffee, that no Starbucks could ever replace it. It also closes really late for a neighbourhood shop(12 on Saturdays), making it the perfect place to relax at after an event. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Their coffee is amazing. Strong and smooth, much better than Starbucks(yes I do have a grudge against this dominating coffee shop chain, but that’s regardless). However, I’ve tried purchasing a can of Williams coffee from them before, but it didn’t turn out as well… It must’ve been because the coffee was old since I’d tried every combination of cream and sugar. Their salads are fresh and of a generous portion. The only thing that’s preventing me from giving it a five star is the baked goods. Perhaps it’s because they’re not popular with the customers that they’re not as frequently bought… causing them to be stale and dry. Same goes with the cakes. It’s a great place to hangout, grab a drink, or study for that midterm(but not on weekends… it can get pretty loud with the kids coming after soccer), but make sure if you’re using a laptop that you charge it before, as they don’t have a lot of power outlets.

I parked myself at William Fresh Café with my laptop for 2 hours last night and writing Unilocal reviews. Good: — WIFI connection here is quick and fast. — tons of seatings — not too crowded or infested with students — drinks served in a real cup Bad: — Cappucino is so so… taste more like a latte… really need stronger roast — Only have a few electrical outlets in a little area in the front of the Café… good luck if you want to sit at one of the booth… better have your laptop charged up — Not much privacy, since you will be sitting shoulder to shoulder if you want to have access to the outlets 2.5 star. I have to say I prefer Panera Bread down at Yonge and 16th better!

This has been here for ages. Over 10 years. Probably one of the first Williams I’ve been to. Good hang out in Richmond Hill used to go here back in the day. Got a quirky way of serving. When you order, you get a number sign, and then they will bring your food order to your table. Half fast food/half full service. Drinks had been decent. Something notable this place serves belgian waffles for dessert.

When it isn’t crowded it’s good. Better than Tim Hortons but no Second Cup. The food is tasty though!
