Saw the great reviews and felt obligated to pick up some bubble tea before leaving Vancouver. Showed up, ordered two things and mine was average and wayyyy too sweet. Couldn’t and didn’t want to finish it. Also got those bubble things– super moist and flat on the texture end and below average taste. Really really not impressed by this place. Oh and to top it off it took way too long to get our food and drinks. There were literally two other customers waiting for orders yet we were stuck there for 15+ minutes.

The people who work here are so friendly and polite. Unfortunately they only take cash booo so leave your cards at home! When I first walked in the music was loud, and it felt like a party. You instantly smell the fresh waffle when you walk in. I got the fresh mango cubes slush and they do not rip you off! 6 $ for a fresh look, refreshing cup of mango slush. Be prepared for a wait as the waffles are not instead but it is worth it! This is a good place to go with a group of friends as they do have seating avaliable. Total of 9 chairs!

My favorite bubble tea place of all time! I have been coming since they opened in 2008! I wish I could find more time to visit them, to enjoy their awesome mango cube slush when it’s in season.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. I’ve been told that this is one of the best bbt places, but better yet they have actual good bubble waffles. Super stoked about that since I love bubble waffles and have been sorely disappointed in Vancouver’s ability to produce ones that are really good. So let’s get into it shall we? I ordered their malteaser’s bubble tea. At roughly $ 5 for a specialty bbt, that’s not too shabby, especially how they do load it with a fair bit of malteasers. It was really sweet, but the maltiness definitely balanced everything out, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys that type of taste. While it’s not the best bubble tea I’ve ever had, it meets the expectation of a malteaser drink The negative review comes down the the bubble waffle(s). I ordered 2 because I can’t help myself, and they sounds great. I’ll get into the first one I had which is the matcha green tea. Now bubble waffles texture are distinguised spicifically with the crispy crunchy outside, with a soft goey interior. This one was nothing but mush. Like crappy mush. The matcha kept getting stuck on my fingers, and the waffle itself pretty much disintegrated as I was trying to eat it. Using the rationale that it’s matcha, its suppose to be like that isn’t really a strong argument, when I’ve pretty much had the same thing in HK and they did it right over there. The other bubble waffle I ordered was a bit better, it was the peanut and sugar. This one had crunch but no goey inside! It didn’t fall apart while I was eating it, and in all fairness there were a generous amount of toppings on the inside. Its just, if the basic bubble waffle isn’t made that well, toppings don’t really mean anything… I mean unless its like uni…

This place has the best bubble waffle I have ever tasted outside of Hong Kong. Omg. I can’t wait to return for another. I was choosing between another shop and Bubble Queen and I’m so glad Melissa C. brought me here! We actually came when they weren’t even open yet, but the girl inside let us in and told us that if we really wanted a bubble waffle, we would have to wait for 15 minutes for her to heat up the machine. Umm, the 15 minute wait was SO worth it. The matcha green tea mochi waffle blew. my. mind. It was crispy on the outside and so gooey and chewy with the mochi on the inside. The mochi was well distributed and in every bite, you would get this amazing crunch and chewy gooey delicious matcha-ness that just can’t be matched. Sometimes these egg waffles are not made properly — either they’re too soft like cake or hard as a rock. Bubble Queen has it down. I would highly recommend ordering a mochi bubble waffle here. We tried the sesame one too but we didn’t add mochi to it and it was just NOT the same. I’ll be back to try a drink next time with my matcha bubble waffle. Heh.

0 star and should be closing! I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea, took a sip and split it back out. It was a live cockroach, still moving!!! I couldn’t believe it! This is so disgusting and a nightmare for me. The workers stood there and keep saying«I’m sorry, can I make you another drink??» Are you kidding me?! I asked to give my money back and I will never ever going to look back at this place. I will be reporting to the Heath department about this incident.

Ordered a mango strawberry bbt and it was apparent that the girl making my drink had no idea what she was doing. She kept jamming up the blender – so she kept adding more and more milk. By the time she was finished my drink was just bland and didn’t taste like fruit at all. Worst bbt I’ve ever had. They weren’t even busy, I was the only one there.

I haven’t frequented this place for a while but when my friend asked for some good bubble waffle, Unilocal took me back here. We arrived 40 minutes before opening but the girl working there was super nice and let us in, letting us know it might be an extra 15 minute wait for the bubble waffle maker to get warmed up. Regardless, we were so grateful she let us in and out of the rainy cold. Reason for the 5 stars: Matcha Mochi Bubble Waffle!!! This was a life changing bubble waffle. The bubble waffle was fresh, hot and had a very good rich matcha flavour. The mochi inside was chewy and gooey, yet the bubble waffle was still crispy on the outside. It was the perfect textures of crispy and chewy and perfect tastes of matcha and sweet mochi. They continue to serve decadent bubble teas filled with oreos, mangoes, kit kat, ferrero rocher, etc… They also serve many other choices of filled and non-filled bubble waffles like taro, sesame, orange, original, etc… Overall, super happy with my return here and there will be many more for their Matcha Mochi Bubble Waffle and for under $ 5 too!

Tiny place with a million specialty bbt. Great pricing and quality for dessert types of bbt. Go for: a fantastic bbt experience Don’t go for: a romantic night out and bbt. Place too packed and small

Very good mango slush with mango cubes but it is not a cheap option. They also have lots of specialty drinks with chocolate bars thrown in there to make basically milkshakes. bubble waffles on the other hand take a long time and although green tea mochi was good, i was full after 2 pieces.

Bubble queen is a quaint little bubble tea house on the corner of Pacific center on the odlin crescent side. The interior is reminiscent of a traditional coffee/café house with lots of wood/beige accents. When you walk in, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped through the closet and entered a wonderland, the store is filled the to brim with candies and cookies like a candy shop, and mangoes! MANGOGALORE, as far as the eye can see! Yes, Bubble queen is famed for their candy-centric bubble teas and fresh mango drinks. I usually order a milk tea, as that is the very basic benchmark that all bubble tea shops should be evaluated on. If the shop in question cannot even do a good milk tea, then their modus operandi should be brought into question. But since mangoes are still in season here in vancouver, I decided on one of their recomendations, a fresh mango slush with chunks of mangos. Lets just begin by saying, WOW, never have i experienced such dense, fresh, and flavourful mango slush here in the GVRD, ever~ Nice orange yellow colour, thick and slushy, and lots and lots of mango chunks. All yours for a small payment of $ 7 after taxes. It may not be the cheapest drink? but its well worth its weight in mangoes. My one gripe about my visit was the lack of service. The guy at the register was more interested in talking to his friend who bought a drink ahead of me than to ask me for my order. The talk persisted for sometime before he noticed me standing there impatiently with my arms crossed. And I was the only guy in line after him. so… what gives? Work Ethics people. please get on it. A thick and fresh Four, out of Five.

45 minute wait for egg waffles? Out of toast. Drinks were okay… Long line up. Which is okay. That’s how you usually tell a place is good but it was the fact it takes forever to get your drink orders in. Drive to Aberdeen for egg waffles if you want.

We came here because I was craving for bubble waffles– one of my favorite childhood snacks. This place is small with limited seating, basically not a place for you to chill. There is a wide variety in bubble waffles and specialty drinks. I chose their matcha mochi and cookies and cream bubble waffles. I must say the matcha mocha was definitely something new and it was nice and chewy. The later one was nothing special(I’d rather have a plain bubble waffle). I also tried their dark chocolate Kit Kat orange bbt, It again was something new to me. I’m impressed with their creativity. The place is filled with boxes of different kinds of chocolate ranging from Ferrero Rocher to maltesers for you to choose from. Price wise is reasonable for what you get. Parking around the plaza is available.

If I had three thumbs, I would give this place three thumbs up. There is so much variety, the price is good and you can make your combo any way you want. A bonus is that for each drink you get a stamp and if you get 9 stamps you get $ 3.50 your next purchase. How awesome is that?! I live a block away and would definitely be a die-hard fan. Just moved here a few months ago and have been here a few times. Will definitely return to try out the rest of their menu. Haven’t gotten to their bubble waffles as yet since I’m personally not a huge fan of bubble waffles, but who’s to say? I’ve only had the traditional ones from hong kong and those didn’t have any fillings in them or made with flavoring like oreo, coconut or matcha. Would totally recommend to those who haven’t tried this place as yet.

If you’re getting dim sum in Richmond, might as well come here to get bubble tea. There’s a mini line but goes fast. I got the strawberry tea– do not get. I think the mango one is good like they use real mangos. I just got the wrong drink. The slushes also look good too. I was going to give this place a bad rating but I realized I ordered the wrong thing. Street parking is pretty easy to find.

I have to say this place is pretty busy. I came here on an afternoon and I had to line up for say 15 mins to place my order and another 10 mins to get my drink. They have interesting flavors like kit kat slushy etc, that you don’t normally find at other bubble tea places. They have about 5 people working at the back making the drinks. So the place is pretty open and that is assurance that the drink will come out as a thumbs up. As well, the person taking the order was quite friendly. There are lots of parking in the parkade because it is located in a pretty dead mall where you won’t find a lot of people inside. I had the lychee Calpris with coconut jelly. Love the coconut jelly. I will come back for other things.

We had the fresh mango slush here! It was great. I really love the fresh mango chunks on the top. The smoothy itself is good too. It is a small place, so expect to wait. We also tried their Mango Mochi. It was good.

This is the bubble place to beat, especially if you have a sweet tooth. I’ll keep this short and sweet since, I might be redundant. * Their fruit slushes are thirst-quenching in the summer. * Their chocolate bar flavours are the bomb dot com. * Forget pearls, add mochi to your drank. * Bubble waffles are perfectly soft and chewy. * If it’s a busy day, it’ll be difficult to get seats as the interior is small. * Bring cash and only cash for this place.

The fresh mango slush here is amazing! I love how they top off the drink with a ton of fresh mango pieces, so you have a pleasant surprise at the bottom of your cup when you’re done the actual drink! My friends really like the Maltesers slush and the Ferrero Rocher slushes a lot, but I think I’ll just stick with my fresh mango drink! Sometimes I don’t even add pearls and I’m still really satisfied. Parking is a bit hectic here and the place is usually packed, but it’s definitely worth it! There are often long queues out the door so be prepared to wait!

BEST egg waffles/egg puffs/eggettes/whatever you call them I have ever tried. Seattle does not have much in the way of eggettes but they were pretty popular in SF where I grew up. I have always had eggettes that were hollow inside and that was the norm. When I read about these filled eggettes, I just had to try them. We ordered the matcha red bean with red bean filling and mango mochi. The matcha red bean came out first. It was bitter from the matcha but the sweetness from the red bean evened it out. However, I would have preferred more red bean filling. The mango mochi was unlike anything I have ever had. I am guessing that the melted mochi filling is mango flavored. It was so soft and chewy inside and had wonderful mango flavor. I was not a big fan of eggettes back home, but I am a huge fan of these at Bubble Queen.
