I finally had the traditional British Fish’n’Chips with Haddock. It was pretty decent and I enjoyed the meal. I thought $ 15 was decent for a three piece. was disappointed that there were only a two or three people in the restaurant, my party excluded. The ambiance of the restaurant is the typical North American seafood restaurant with a lighthouse and netting. There was nothing unique to set it apart. Of course it’s a chain restaurant so that’s expected.

Came here on a Friday night and was surprised that the place was almost empty. The service was good and the food was great also. They have a pretty wide selection of seafood here and from what I saw it’s nice and fresh too, none of that frozen fish and chips you get at some places. The prices were decent but like another review said, you can get the same food right by the seaside in White Rock for the same price. Overall great food at a decent price but not the best ambience as most of there business seems to be take out leaving the place pretty empty.

This chain of restaurants was a long time favorite of mine for many years, probably when I was too young to have developed any semblance of culinary taste. You can probably go somewhere with a seaside view in White Rock for the same prices and get better food. Still, this place serves some of the better fried seafood I’ve ever had anywhere, and coupled with fond memories my rating of the location has been slightly inflated for nostalgic purposes. Their fish, while small in portions is decent and better than your typical seaside kiosk, but I’m a bigger fan of their appys such as their clam strips and popcorn shrimp, so grab a combination meal.
