Be Fresh Local Market

The pre-​made meals are delicious and healthy, the desserts are toothsome, the protein shakes are great, the girls who work the till are pleasant and humorous, and Roberta the manager is super duper helpful.

I walked in and immediately fell in love. Some fresh produce, pre made foods, select groceries and a great little bakery and coffee bar. They also driver fresh groceries to your door!
Coffee was really good and the chocolate chip chia cookie was so yummy!

Stumbled upon this place in passing ’cause I took the wrong turn. I love how it is a market with some local stuff. It’s also a café with fresh pre-​prepped meals that they will heat and toss for you and serve on a plate if you want to stay in. I felt so healthy and clean eating here before school that it made me feel awesome instead of sluggish as some fast food can do. Super friendly staff. Free wifi, therefore, got to work on my zine.

I love this place, a bit pricey and not a huge selection of fresh fruit/​veggies but maybe that’s because they are still figuring things out? Anyway it’s a great addition to the neighborhood!

Fresh lunches, great smoothies and very friendly staff.

All of the ‘fresh’ food is extremely overpriced, bland and prepared by inexperienced people. The actual produce is also very limited, overpriced and did not look like what you would expect from a farmers market style of local sustainable produce. The vibe is franchise and prescriptive nothing good to say.

This business has cafes at certain locations (which I believe are also on Unilocal). It used to be called Licious Living. This review is specifically for the Be Fresh meal delivery service, which they describe on their website.
I decided to use this meal delivery service temporarily (I had planned on using it for a bit less than a month) prior to a trip I was taking. I am a busy professional and I was having trouble finding the time to eat healthy. If I had known what I know now about this service, I would NOT have signed up for it, since I wasted more time dealing with their horrible service than I would have if I had gone to the grocery store and made the meals myself. (Okay, slight exaggeration, but dealing with this ridiculous company also greatly increased my stress levels!)
The only good thing I can say is that the food is good.
My meals were not as promised. I had asked for my meals to be between 400 – 500 cals and my husband’s meals to be 500 – 600. On almost every single delivery, not only did they not label which were which, the meals weighed the same. Trying to talk to someone to rectify this was horribly frustrating. There was one incident where they only delivered ²⁄₃ meals. They deliver the meals late at night and promise that the cooler keeps them cool until morning, but in the morning, they were usually room temperature to the touch.
The worst part came when they charged my credit card with a lump sum for the entire month without my permission. Additionally, they overcharged me several hundred dollars. When I pointed out to them that they had overcharged me, and that I hadn’t agreed to a lump sum, they attempted to rely on a policy I had never seen. They told me they «didn’t do refunds» but would make an exception for me — which was rather infuriating since correcting an overcharge is hardly a refund! They did eventually let me cancel the service early and refunded what was owing to me.
All in all I would strongly suggest you do not use this service. They seem to have serious problems with their customer service representatives and their production team.

Feels like I’m somewhere else when I’m in this store. Very west coast feel. Very pretty décor.
I wouldn’t do my groceries here but I’d def eat or get a drink here.

I absolutely love this place! The service is so great. So friendly and always a smile when you walk in. I’ve been coming here almost daily since it opened. They have fresh juices and smoothies. Well priced at $ 5.99-$ 9.99.
Excellent soups and salads and such a cute little seating area in the front. What an amazing addition to West 1^st!
