Quality is okay. Amount of food is good. Food lacks flavor and spices. Not for Indian appetite.

OMG this place has saved me many many nights on the way to a show. Not close to any venu but still on the right path. Large portions and great prices. The cusotmer service here is awesome. Even on an empty stomach I am always stuffed here.

Are you hungry? Because this place will fill you up. They give you a ton of food for the price! Is it good? Meh. I think it would be OK for a gotta eat sort of meal. Overall, I think this is a Unilocal fail. The ratings drew me in… but the place just didn’t deliver what I expected. But if you are on a limited number of eats in Vancouver… do not make the mistake that I did. This was a total waste of 1of4 meals we had in Vancouver. Once I took the second bite I should have just found a homeless person to give it to and drive a little further to get the food I wanted. Now please, don’t think that the place isn’t worth going to because of that last bit. It’s fine, it’s just not a place you should seek out if you are a tourist. However… I think it might be really good drunk food if you are nearby and drunk. Too bad there isn’t parking nearby. So no, I wont go back again, unless I find myself in Vancouver for an extended stay and my hotel is nearby. There is just too much in the city to experience! The place was clean and the gals were friendly and helpful. So yes, A-Ok.

Ok, I’m from out of town and maybe Vancouver prices just haven’t hit me yet but what’s up with the high prices here? I ordered a doner(donair, if you must), with cheese($ 1 extra) and a bottle of water and it was $ 12 plus change. $ 10 for a doner? I’ve had doners all over the world and have never paid that much. For that price, it should be absolutely mouth watering. It wasn’t. It was good, not great. Prices need to be lower.

I heard a number of people recommend to eat here, so I decided to give it a try last week for lunch. They have lunch specials which basically gets you a donair and a pop for about $ 8. I opted for the lamb donair. To the point it was delicious and VERY filling. They really pack in the ingredients but not to the point where it would burst out the other end. In fact, for a donair it is as clean and sturdy as it can get. It did leak a bit towards the end but that was expected. The store is surprisingly very clean and everything is well labeled inside. There is limited seating inside. Service is relatively quick and assembly line efficient. Will definitely be back to try their other donairs.

My wife and I always go here when we need something healthy and quick. Their food is great. Good customer service. Good price. Clean. It seems to be a family run business. Places like this deserve to be open and be successful.

The doners here are very, very big — enough to feed two people and they are a great value. We got the chicken donair with the spicy spread, almost all the veggies(even pineapple), with tzatziki sauce. However, there was very little meat in it. Maybe if we hadn’t gotten as many veggie toppings, we would’ve gotten more meat. Who knows. Great place for a quick and healthy lunch.

Halifax style donairs — are you kidding me? And they are good! Stopped in for lunch today for the first time and was not disappointed. Place is clean and friendly. I got a traditional style Halifax donair with no garlic spread. Meat was up to par — and sauce was legit(I’m from NB). I will be back!

I am going to give donair dude 5 stars because they are not chincy(cheap) with toppings– my donair could have fed everyone on Granville but I eat the whole thing because it was delicious! I got the chicken donair but what made it the best donair is that it was grilled. Awesome food quality at a reasonable price !

The reviews for this place make it sound great and it was really not very good. The service was friendly and fast, and so no complaints there. The veggies were limp and not fresh. The dolmades were filled with dried up rice that tasted like sand.(I bit into something hard and had to spit out what I was eating — nasty.) The donair itself was ok, but nothing too great. The falafel was frozen and then reheated in a microwave. This was at best a mediocre lunch. I won’t be going back and I am frankly very surprised by all the super-positive reviews.

Friendly service, awesome weekday lunch deal(pita donair with a drink for less than $ 8!), and super filling! You can add as much veggies and sauces as you want and they don’t cheap out on the meat either. Tried tabouleh for the first time and I’m hooked, I always include it in my donairs. I usually get the lamb donair with hummus + garlic, veggies, pineapple, and their sweet sauce + tzatziki — so good! If you’re looking for good cheap eats downtown, I’d definitely stop by here.

Good fare for the price. I got the rice plate and substituted the rice for greens. It comes with 2 sides, pita and hummus. Huge plate.

Amazing spot!!! I am new to Vancouver and I have tried several places around town based on Unilocal reviews. This is the only place I can safely say it’s very delicious! This place hits the spot. I tried the Hawaiian Pita with everything on it. It took the person in charge about a minute or two to prepare it and it was amazing! The place was busy so I had to have it to go. The spot stays open late, it’s very clean and everything the use is very fresh and seasoned perfectly. I will surely come by and try their other dishes.

End of the 2nd night — I’ve never heard of donair and figured it was a uniquely Vancouver thing that was really a middle eastern/halal thing. We were walking around Granville street and figured we didn’t want to go anywhere and headed on home — but before we did we walked into this extremely bright restaurant that sells donair. Donair is essentially a pita wrap with the normal pita stuff — but suddenly magic happens after they finish putting your food in it — they wrap it closed(somehow) like a burrito — and throw it under a panini press and grill it from the outside! After it comes out it’s piping hot and delicious to all the normal Halal specifications — but truly it’s drunk food and only ok at the very best. First and probably the last time i’ll have donair i guess. I can get something similar in NY, but not the same.

We just stumbled across this place by accident, just parked in(Downtown?) Vancouver and walked around and found this place. I don’t know what made us stop in it just happened organically and so glad we found this place. Got the Grilled pita donair, its pretty much like a subway sandwich of Mediterranean food. You get to choose between chicken, beef or lamb then a spread, veggies and sauces. I chose chicken with garlic spread, all of the veggies except pineapple and turnips and hot sauce. It was HUGE, they pack all the stuff into the pita and then put it under a panini grill. So good, it was a large portion and reasonably priced, i really liked the garlic spread and hot sauce combo, and they also put Tabouli in it too which i think adds a lot to it. We liked it so much that on our way back from Whistler to the airport we also stopped in again and luckily there was a lunch special where you get a Pita Donair and a drink for cheaper than just the pita during regular«non lunch hours» Bonus! It was a great find. If I ever make it back to Vancouver i’ll be back for sure! Note: this one is not located in whistler but i just wanted to add it to that list so i can remember to stop by on the way there for my next trip. =)

Wide range of topping. Love that they grill their wraps. But they been increase in pricing quite quickly so don’t have them as much.

This was awesome. Great lamb pita! Lot of food for the money! AND it’s open til 4am! It’s big enough you could eat half and save half for later, but it was soo good I ate the whole thing. I did the hummus + garlic spread and then added tzatziki sauce. But the sweet sauce added to the above combo is the winner for me!

Tasty donair and friendly service. I also really enjoyed their free French fries deal. Stone cut too. Watch you don’t burn your mouth. They are usually piping hot. Donair Dude is a bit of transient stop, so don’t expect to have a red carpet rolled out or a donair or falafel that will blow your mind. It’s cheap and fun. I would say check it out for yourself.

Tasty food. Big portions. Good prices. Good variety of ingredients. Five stars. They had turnips, which most counter service restaurants don’t have.
