Very friendly staff and service Food tasted excellent Very small space for ordering and the employees A bit of a wait but worth it. I had the chicken noodle phở and I’m not an expert but thought it was one of the best I have had. I will Go back.

This place is an you got to eat her place! Make a point to go. The house special was hot freah and delicious. The veggie rolls were crisp and hot and I wanted extra. The service was beyond fantastic. Owner Bethany and cook Kim were friendly and welcoming. Always a welcoming smile. Small and intimate with very little seating but they have an agreement with the hotel next door and they have places to sit. Just Go!!!

This is a great little joint located on the first floor of the Delta Hotel in downtown. The service was overwhelmingly friendly. The phở was perfectly done with just the right amount of spiciness and they even included an extra spicy chili sauce on the side(since I requested spicy) which I definitely appreciated. I would absolutely come here again on my next visit to Vancouver for some awesome Vietnamese food.

The first time I came into this place, I was welcomed warmly by the owner. I was impressed by their subs — they are fresh, delicious and a great deal! I have since tried their phở and grilled chicken and I give them thumbs up every time. The owner now greets me by name as I visit often(along with many others from my office across the street.) Although tiny, this place is packed with yummy food.

I love the beef phở here! Not sure why one of the reviewers things it’s expensive, because it is only $ 7.50 for an enormous bowl of super-tasty soup. The soup is obviously lovingly prepared, and has no MSG, only good, delicious broth with good, delicious noodles and beef [if you are having the beef phở], fresh sprouts, with or without cilantro and/or hot pepper. Yes, it is small, but the taste and quality more than make up for the size of the restaurant. A person can even bring their own container for take-out. The staff make an effort to remember patron’s names and greet each customer as soon as they walk into the establishment. I recommend it highly, even though I would like to keep it to myself ;)

Unexpectedly, in my search of the nearest retailer of Phö, I met one of the kindest souls I have ever acquainted whom serves the most honest Phö I have ever tasted. Bethany Tran, one of the owners of Pholicious, met me and my friend with the most earnest smile. Guided by our stomachs and enticed by the surrounding atmosphere — which exuded the energy of a home more rather than a business — her amiable nature was so welcoming and highly representative of her cousine. She cooks without MSP, carefully, diligently, and passionately studying every inch of the food she prepares for you. She does this, because she cares. Although business may not be flourishing(considering the fact that it’s a small-family owned café located in a not so lucrative area) she ensures a fair helping is provided to her customers. The food itself was delicious and felt very nurturing. Her phö was neither bland nor too savoury, and it was loaded with intense — gratifying — flavours. She really seems to love the idea of cooking, of providing, for other people and it was a pleasure to have become her customer. Not to mention the fact that I arrived five minutes until closing, yet she still provided absolutely 100% of her care and attention. I highly recommend that anyone and everyone visit this humble, small, yet impacting family-owned establishment. You will not be disappointed!

First Impression: Visited on a Wednesday, dinner. This is a hole-in-the-wall grab-a-quick-bite-to-eat kind of place. I like Vietnamese food, and this place is right below the hotel that I was staying at so I had to try it out. Service: I wasn’t aware that they were about to close, but I ordered my food and requested to «eat-in». As soon as I realized that they were about to close and were politely allowing me to sit in and eat I decided to get it to go. The people behind the counter were extremely polite and I really appreciated that. Atmosphere: It is a very small place, there is barely enough space to eat in there but for what it is, it is acceptable. Nothing amazing décor-wise. Food: I had the noodle soup special which was written up on a whiteboard, it was shrimp. It was just the right temperature, very hot so by the time I sat down in my room and started eating it it was edible but not even close to being lukewarm(I hate it when things get cold by the time you get home). I was asked if I liked it spicy(yes!) so I was also given some spicy chili sauce which I was able to add at my leisure(I added all of it and it was nothing short of amazing). The shrimp was very good and the portion size was ideal. Everything was proportionally correct, just enough shrimp, herbs, noodles and broth. Just great overall! All served to me in a bag with some chopsticks, a spoon and napkins. EVERYTHINGYOUNEED. Drinks: Didn’t order a drink. Restrooms: They do not have any. Overall: For under $ 8, this place serves up some awesome noodles with great service. I will be coming back here next time I’m in Vancouver, even if it’s out of my way. Tip: Let the servers know if you like things spicy, they will hook you up!

Delicious. I randomly found this place and I’m glad I did. I ordered Beef Phở and the broth is well balanced, and in general a solid bowl of noodles. What makes this 5 stars is the service. So sweet and attentive, the person that took my order was great! Sensitive to my peanut allergy, and even taking the time to cut down the cilantro into small bite sized pieces. Great service and food. Highly recommended. :)

The food is decent in a pinch, but where these guys really excel is the friendly service. I want to buy food from them just because they are so cheerful.

An excellent place to get a delicious bowl of phở. I highly recommend the house special — a little bit of everything. I now go here once a week when I have to commute to downtown Vancouver. The folks that work there will give you better service than any other restaurant downtown. The place is very very small — so I would recommend ordering«to go» if you have somewhere else that you can eat. The service and delicious food is what keeps me coming back every week!

Lovely staff and great for a satisfying lunch! The prices are unbeatable here(sub for $ 4.50) and it has become my newest favorite go-to during work. I have had the chicken phở and special sub and both have been delicious. I was given a free coffee today too! They always want to hear feedback as well which shows they really care about customer satisfaction. Love this new gem.

First time been there, and thought 3 stars was okay. I went pretty close to closing time, I was hungry after my night class and wanted a quick bite. I’ve always walked by Pholicious and was curious to try it. With all the construction going on around it, it really is a hole in the wall. You can walk by and not even notice it. Super tiny with limited seating. I guess they’re still new and working out a few kinks. The cashier wasn’t sure how much to charge me for my meal. I got their classic Sub, for $ 4.95 it was okay. I guess there’s no ‘real way’ to make a banh mi. Every place I’ve been to makes it slightly different from the rest. Some add some kind of sauce to it or add some peppers. One thing that has always been consistent was the Pâté. Their classic sub was missing the pâté, I tasted the hams, and watched them assemble the sandwich with the hams. Over all, the banh mi wasn’t bad. It was edible. For an extra dollar, you can add a can of pop and make it into a combo. Overall, it’s decent for a meal under $ 10. I’m not very likely to return, simply because of the lack of space they have. It looks like everything is pre-made and re-heated upon ordering. I could be wrong, since I went half an hour before closing. For $ 4.95, you can definitely can get better Banh mi else where. They do take debit and credit now.

Great place for phở and super accommodating. Great service and phở. Worth your time. Great little place for take out or a quick bite. The cook was a sweetheart I appreciated his accommodating way. It’s always nice to feel like your business is appreciated. Plus it’s really the best phở I’ve had to date.

Tiny restaurant(5 people seating) with attentive service. It’s a newly opened restaurant which offers 10% off on all items. Price overall it’s expensive. Chicken banhmi costed $ 4.75 similar to Viet Sub and House special phở costed around $ 8. The portion for phở was so small and tasted pretty bad. Soup tasted very bland and beef slices tasted rubbery. Food didn’t impress me much but Banhmi itself was alright. I’ll just come back for Banhmi. It’s best to get a take out. Last but not least they do take cash and credit card.
