Disclaimer: our poor server was by herself, and drunk men were behaving terribly to her. So props to her for not losing her mind and telling everyone where to go. She was the best part. Came here on a Friday night for Dine Out Vancouver. What a mess. It took hours to get our three courses. The soup starter was decent, but the salad was inedible, it tasted like dirt. Then came the piece of fat covered in sauce over a bed of French fries, apparently this was beef? Nah. My friends Mac and cheese was good, and so was the bangers and mash. Dessert was 50⁄50. The cinnamon bun concoction was AMAZING but the s’more in a glass was also inedible. To boot, there was a group of 3 guys who felt the need to harass us the entire evening. Just trying to stuff my face here, please kindly find someone who doesn’t have a face full of dirt lettuce… Might go back just for drinks, had a good vibe. But never again for food.

What a Great venue, I went in on Wednesday for the wing special with some friends. Great wings. They have such an abundance of flavors to choose from. I myself ended up having 4 orders. The beer selection here is great too. I will be back, thanks.

So I decided to stop by for lunch. Nice place, plenty of TVs for viewing games, decent beer selection, not a bad menu. Ordered some chicken wings and got them served raw! The first one I ate I didn’t notice anything wrong, but as I cut into the 2nd one I saw the thing was still bleeding. I put it aside, and cut into the 3rd and it appears as if they weren’t even cooked. Just sauced and sent out. I told the bartender who took them back but instead of even asking me if I wanted anything different they just fired another order. I declined, the manager gave me my beer for free, but that was it. No sorry, no response from ownership, nothing. Fingers are crossed that salmonella isn’t something I’ll have to contend with. I’ve already contacted the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. AVOID this place.

As I entered the venue, it smelled of alcohol. I guess this is to be expected when you enter a bar/pub with no windows for ventilation. Weirdly, I didn’t come to watch the games nor for drinking purposes. I got an entertainment coupon from a friend for lunch/dinner. We were thinking of ordering the steak frites and the prime rib(which is only served on Sundays after 2pm), but they had a party the night before so they ran out of steak frites. We both got the prime rib, which was a larger portion than we’d expect. It came with some mash, asparagus and a yorkshire pudding. We were absolutely stuffed after. My friend said it was the best mash she’s ever eaten, which I can’t deny. It was indeed very tasty, but could’ve been smoother. The prime rib was cooked perfect, but I did find myself requiring a bit of salt & pepper. Coming to a bar, I had to order a cocktail. I went with the rose all day. It was served in a martini glass with a basil leaf on top. A sweet and refreshing drink. I really liked it. Food was good, drinks were good. Would be a great place to watch the game and have a drink. Service was as good as it gets in a bar/pub setting. Probably won’t come back for dinner but I’d come back for what it’s known for.

Nosh and Nibble came here for the party and I had the following: Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale($ 7.40 for 14oz) Goose Island Honker’s Ale($ 7.40 for 14oz) Feature Pulled Pork Sliders($ 15) The Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale was a dark copper coloured brew from Oregon. This pale ale had a medium body with middling malts. The head dissipated quickly. I found mine to be on the flat side but if you like a subtle carbonation in your beer that’s not too bitter this is a good choice. The Goose Island Honker’s Ale came out a dark amber colour with a three-finger(i.e. thick) head that also dissipated quickly. Similar to the Mirror Pond Ale, this Illinois brew had a middling malt to it but I liked this more as it tasted less flat and more full of caramel and citrus flavours. Moving onto my Monday slider feature, the pulled pork was juicy which mixed well with the drier ciabatta buns and may have helped prevent excess spilling. They came with«baked chips» but as any British style pub knows, English chips are North American fries. These were pretty good. I mean McDonald’s good. At $ 15 this feature was just a touch cheaper than the regular sandwiches so I wouldn’t expect mad savings here. What might not be so interesting about the menu here is that food-wise, it’s 90% similar to The New Oxford despite having a different name.

I had the French Dip with Yam Fries and it really wasn’t anything special. The sandwich had very little meat which kept falling out with each bite and the au jus was meh. The yam fries came with ketchup. … Why on earth would you send out yam fries with ketchup? I asked for chipotle mayo less than one minute after receiving my dinner. There was a lot of fries. A LOT. I finished only half and they were good. For $ 16 I really expected more from the sandwich but at least I know not to order it next time I drop in. The drinks were very good. The Australian or Kiwi bartender did a good job. I was very happy with his service and manner. My rating is 2 star because of the dish I had and not based on my whole experience. I’ve been back many times before and I will still go back.

I went here on a Sunday during the day, absolutely hungover. Someone who is in control of their Instagram kept liking my art. I guess social media advertising works on a subconscious level as well. The place was empty. Great gastro-pub looking décor was in high contrast with large screen TV’s blaring same exact sport channel.(There are no bars with no TV’s in this town, which is sad). This place had a pool table and a dart board. A good alternative to Shenanigans. Their menu was pretty decent. Wings of all kinds of flavors, burgers, other bar food… I sat at the bar and had minor small talk with the bartenders. Eventually got my drinks and felt the hangover fade into another buzz. I got two double Caesars, which were good, but lacked any creative edge. The bacon in the Caesar felt a bit soggy and the green bean looking thing tasted fishy. At that point, I was already eyeballing Blue Label, just sitting there staring back at me. $ 36 for a neat, that’s actually not bad for the price of booze in this town. So after eating some Buffalo Sriracha Wings and finishing my Blue Label, I was in a good spot. By that time, couple of customers sat down, and the place felt more alive. I paid my bill, and went outside. It was still daylight(around 3pm). So my walk back to my home was slightly more interesting.

I would give this place less than 1 star if I could. Staff wouldn’t even come to get our order and walked by multiple times, table beside us said they waited so long they had to get order to go because try had no time to eat it. Tables weren’t cleaned off, and staff was oblivious to customers We left and will not be back.

It’s my first visit here and overall very impressed. If you like your sport on a big TV this is the place to be. There are specials on beer. I had the Fat Tug IPA which was served perfectly. The temp was good and the beer flavourfull. The food was awesome too. We had the New York Reuben and their chicken wings. Was a great deal and tasty to boot. Will come here again for sure. Great place, vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff. All you expect and more from the Donnelly Group.

Buddha and Andrea are amazing, the wigs are super dry and the food service is slow. But they are extremely friendly and nice. Matt is amazing and very friendly. Overall I would visit this bar for sports events but be careful with your good choice :)

The food is slightly overpriced, which is to be expected from a Donnelly group bar. We usually end up here after midnight for drinks and late night snacks. Location is great, atmosphere is unpretentious. The fact that there are no windows makes me claustrophobic here!

I came here on Sunday with a friend, who was visiting town, because they were showing Game of Thrones and we thought beers would accompany nicely. I use a wheelchair so I called ahead to see if they had accessible tables for me. The fellow on the phone was very nice and told me they could move a low top table to the main level no problem. When we got there less than 10 minutes later(my friend’s hotel was only about a block away) and the table already waiting for us. I can’t express how much I appreciated that and it made me feel really comfortable and welcome. Small things can really make such a huge difference. The service was very friendly and attentive, the beer was great, the fries we ate were super delicious and the prices were good. This place isn’t my normal neighbourhood and I’d never been here before– but after my first experience I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and recommend it!

HORRIBLESERVICE and RUDE waitress. A bunch of friends came here to watch the hockey game. I have been trying to get the waitress attention for more than 10 minutes for a glass of hot water. After a while she finally cam and accused me of «snapping my fingers». When all I wanted was a glass of hot water. Why is that so difficult?

Fire the management! I was part of a big group that came in on a weekday night — the organizer of our outing had let the bar know a month+ in advance that we were going to show up for a post-conference after-party and hangout, and yet The Butcher & Bullock had put on only 2 bartenders and 2 waitstaff to accommodate us. IFYOUKNOWWAYINADVANCETHATYOU’REGOINGTOHAVE A 200-PERSON GROUPCOMEIN, THIRSTYANDREADYTOKICKBACKWITH A DRINK, YOUDON’T UNDERSTAFFTHEBAR. People were waiting in line for drinks for most of the after-party. Folks were telling me that they had a drink and sobered up while in line for the next one. The DJ sucked and didn’t know how to mix. Groups were leaving in clumps because they couldn’t get service. SUCH a dud. The space is beautiful, for sure; and the waitstaff we DID have were busting their asses trying to get to everyone, but it was not enough.

Came by for some lunch. Parking is horrendous here — consider taking transit. The place is quite large, with a raised stage area and plenty of seating. Staff were friendly and relatively quick. With that said, the place was surprisingly empty during lunch hour. The Reuben sandwich($ 16) I had was decent, but this is definitely on the pricy side of things, considering it was just a sandwich with a bowl of fries. For this reason, I have trouble justifying a return visit. Maybe the place is better on the drinks side.

This place is dark no matter what time of the day you come. This place is purely to drink and watch the sports game of your choice. They can seat lots of groups. Just walked by and came in for lunch. Not one of my favorite places to go to in downtown but they are part of the Donnelly Group and so the food was decent.

Very cool pub! Love the setting and atmosphere! TVs are super quality and great on the eyes! Sound is loud and clear! This was our 5th time here. We were here on Sunday for Clasico — Barca vs Real Madrid! What a game!!! We had a Grilled Chicken & Avocado salad as well as a Classic Pub burger(with egg). Super fantastic taste from both! So tasty!!! Our server was easy going and friendly! He offered us recommendations and we were not disappointed! Having been here before during the ‘big games’ there was the usual wait for our meal due to it being quite busy — but we were not dissatisfied! Please note — this is the official pub for the Liverpool FC Supporters Club — Vancouver chapter! So if you’re here when Liverpool plays — it will get very loud! These supporters love their team!

So being newer to Vancouver I’m still in discovery mode of pubs/restaurants I like to frequent. Back in 2010 I remember stopping in at B&B after a business meetup and was walking on W Pender a few weeks ago seeing the B&B sign recalling the one time I was there. When I had a friend passing through the city and he wanted to meet for a pint I turned to the Unilocal app for a little advice. B&B did not disappoint. The space and service was good and the value was phenomenal. I was able to order two sleeves of Fat Tug IPA draught and an order of wings for under $ 15! All draughts are $ 3⁄14 oz sleeve M 3−9p /T-F 3−6p. This was an overall great experience. I’ll be back soon…
