I was a desperate bride in need as my floral arrangements received from a different establishment were a disaster! I was having a small, intimate wedding in West Vancouver and required a few small arrangements for the dining table. The arrangements received were an embarrassment so I decided to phone West Van. florist as they were a 4 minutes drive away from our venue. After connecting with a very unhelpful and unsympathetic staff member, I was basically told ‘no’ because my budget was not large enough for them to fulfill(I was looking for 4 small arrangements with local flowers between $ 50-$ 60/each. I was not requesting anything too elaborate, just something simple yet elegant to fill the table. Rather than helping a bride in need and being my so called ‘knight in shining armor’ I am now writing a poor review rather than raving about this ‘wonderful florist who came to my rescue!’ — shame on you for turning me away because my $ 240 budget for arrangements was too pitiful for you to even consider..

Horrible attitude from one of the staff while we were there yesterday. I asked her if they had more of a specific type of rose since they didn’t have many left and she didn’t even bother to figure out what we were looking for. Then on our way out of the cooler, a friendly staff commented on the rose that we were looking for and we figured we ask if she knows if they had more. The rude woman who was still standing there told my wife(with her finger pointing) to look behind her where there was another staff holding a plant. The woman had lots of room to get around us plus my wife had no idea the woman was behind her. What a horrible attitude! If we weren’t in a rush to get something for Persian New Year we would’ve just left and gone somewhere else. If you don’t like the people that shop there and can’t find a way to fix your crappy attitude then perhaps you should work elsewhere, no? What a disappointing experience!

My fiancée in Japan sent me an orchid arrangement as a housewarming present for my new apartment. When it was first delivered, I wasn’t home to receive it. The delivery gentleman assured me that they would often leave the flower by the mailboxes and I can pick it up when I return in the evening. However, when I got there later, it was gone, presumably stolen. West Van Florist was very apologetic when I called, and reassured me that they will send another arrangement to compensate. I received that today, and it’s beautiful. Thank you very much for going above and beyond, it’s truly excellent customer service!
