Went on a Sunday night. We had the duck confit, entrecôte and beef tartare. The duck was great as was the beef tartare. The entrecôte was wonderfully seasoned but just a little on the tough side. We had the crème brûlée and profiteroles for dessert which were absolutely AMAZING! Our server was very nice and attentive too. Everything was very reasonably priced. Would definitely come back.

Don’t go here for the steak. Just don’t. Spend the money and go elsewhere. I got the «famous» 11 euro steak frites and the steak (in American terms) was maybe, MAYBE, IHOP or Applebee’s quality. Probably not Applebee’s quality. Tough, stringy, quite flavorless. I’m not sure what the burning thyme on top added other than ashes, and I don’t want ashes on my steak. On the walk back to my hotel, I saw a wonderful-​looking steak at a sidewalk café. I glanced at the menu and it was 32 euro. I gladly would have paid 20 more euro for something tasty/​edible.
The pork special was ok but very strange texture. Extremely soft texture, strangely soft. Not sure what cut it was. The chicken was actually decent. How hard is it to mess up chicken, really? The highlight of the meal was French onion soup. It’s the only thing that raises the place above 1 star.
Spend the money elsewhere. Get something good.

There are pros and cons to this classic bistro. The interior is very romantic yet casual. Location is great and the service is incredibly friendly. Biggest down side for us was the duck confit (and the obnoxious couple beside us, but that’s obviously not the restaurants fault). We picked this place because we found it on a list of great confit in Paris. But it was super dry. But the potatoes it came with were fantastic and the salmon tartar was delicious. Would have stayed for dessert and some coffee from the epic golden coffee maker but that couple was truly unbearable.

On our most recent visit to Paris — My wife and I found this corner bistro by accident! Let me tell you, it was a good accident. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful & the food was delicious! We had planned on going to a different restaurant the next night, but for the price and portion — you can’t beat it! If anything was negative it would be the dessert — not the best. It felt the way a night in Paris should feel.

This was just «OK». It was’t bad, but it was’t great either. We ordered the roast chicken and the duck. The roast chicken was slightly dry and the portions were fairly small compared to other places we’d eaten at in Paris. The duck was better than the chicken but again, we’d had better. While the price it right, that doesn’t really make it worth it. The service was also subpar. I would not make it a point to go back here the next time I’m in town but if you found yourself in the neighborhood and we’re famished, this certainly wouldn’t be the most horrible choice you could make in Paris.

What a great place. Warm and welcoming. Great rustic food flavors with a genuine Paris vive. Friendly and inexpensive.

Went for dinner with a friend because of a friend’s recommendation. Service was horrible and waiters there made a point to make out experience horrible just because we asked for a few things. I asked for butter for the bread and the man first pretended to misunderstand me even when I backed in french, asked me «why?» in an extremely rude tone as if I had no right to ask. My friend asked for a knife because they never gave her one and they also made her wait two minutes, avoiding us and calling us difficult customers as if my friend wasn’t fluent in French (she understood everything and spoke to them in French).
We both got the duck confit and it was decent for its price. Same with the wine. We would’ve walked away happier if everyone wasn’t so intentionally rude for simple requests.
The waiter also skimped me on my change when I paid in cash. 20 euros back from a 50 for a 26 € bill and he didnt think we would notice.
I heard this place was frequented by tourists and there were plenty of English speaking people around us but it doesn’t seem worth it to ever come here again.

Had a lovely French meal here tonight with my partner. I had the duck confit (€ 10.50) and my partner had the entrecôte with fries (€ 11.50).
My duck was amazing & came with really nice potatoes and salad. The steak was quite chewy but it is rump steak after all. Lovely service & atmosphere. Will go again next time we are in Paris. Great value and a lovely evening out.

Une petite faim vers 14h un dimanche après une expo mais peu de temps car un train à prendre. Pas de problème: un guide avec un gars au sac à dos dessus nous indique ce restau et Unilocal nous confirme que ça semble bien.
On pousse la porte, une petite table nous accueille et rapidement mais gentiment nous sommes servis d’assiettes sympathiques et assez copieuses. Du monde et on est un peu serrés mais ça va quand même.
L’addition s’est révélée bien douce après le café et le train n’a pas été raté.
Un seul regret: n’avoir pas eu le temps de goûter aux desserts… pas grave, on reviendra.

Parfait pour un tout petit budget et idéalement placé près des endroits touristiques, le bistrot Victoires dispose d’un menu imbattable dans le quartier.
Le serveur était très sympathique et disponible mais je trouve ça toutefois étrange que les prix né soient pas indiqués sur le menu en anglais pour mes amis étrangers.
Je doute sur la fraîcheur des produits mais la tartine savoyarde (lardon et fromage rapé) était correcte ainsi que la salade verte qui l’accompagnait.
Les profiteroles sont vraiment mauvaises et dures. Quelque chose d’industriel au supermarché aurait pu être meilleur
Je né mets pas deux étoiles car pour le prix qu’on paye, on né peut pas exiger plus.
Je préfère néanmoins le Bouillon Chartier pour les plats et l’ambiance.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Des plats simples mais bons et très bon marché.
Le restaurant lui-​même a beaucoup de charme.
Il y a un gros débit et donc le service est un peu brusque, mais ça passé.

Came here excited to try the steak frites and wasn’t really satisfied. The steak was okay; it wasn’t cooked all the way and lacked flavor. The fries on the other hand were delicious. One thing I was really happy about was the dessert. I had the crème brûlée and it was absolutely delicious… probably one of the best ones I’ve had in Paris.
The restaurant has a cool ambience and the waiters are really nice. I would probably go back but wouldn’t order the steak frites.

Not bad, not memorable, and not worth mentioning. Think of TGIF or Applebee’s in the US — that class of service. If you are hungry, their meals are unusually large by EU standards. This is not any kind of gastronomic experience, but good enough for a very casual dinner.

Worst experience ever. If you are American DO NOT GO HERE. The waitress took our order and didn’t come back until we asked for the check. The steak was completely raw and inedible. The fish tasted like it was just heated up in a microwave. Plenty of other great restaurants around so save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
If I could give zero stars I would.

My wife and I had dinner here and we both had the steak frites. The steak was good and the service was average. My only complaint is that we were sitting in the back and the tables are right on top of each other. There was an over tired and screaming child next to us and it was a bit unpleasant being so close to an exhausted toddler. Not the way we wanted to spend our last night in Paris.

Everything we tried at this restaurant was amazing. The wine, the chèvre chaud salad, steak with fries and the chicken with mashed ending with a crime brûlée. All for $ 44 euro. What a steal. The service was impeccable. Don’t skip this place!

This place should be declared an international treasure! What a find! A stone’s throw from the Louvre, wonderfully casual and unimposing, there is no reason to forego what will no doubt be a delightful and reasonably priced meal for anywhere nearby. Its casual atmosphere and simple style of cooking is a great introduction to French food. There is no pressure to dress well or know the first thing about French food since it’s not a ritzy place. Casual, buzzing and very romantic in spite of its unassuming nature.
It was a weekday evening when I visited but the place was heaving. Luckily there was no wait for a table for two but some diners behind us were not so lucky. The crowd seemed to be a mix of tourists and locals with a slight bias towards English speaking tourists but the menu was offered first in French and then in English. There is no diference between the two menus, no secret orders only available on the French menu despite it having a noticeably longer list of items. This is because the liqeurs/​liquors and aperitifs are only written on the French menu. The food and wine itself is the same on both.
Not much into starters, I dove in head first with a duck confit and my wife went for a steak & frites after being mesmerised by the smell of smoking thyme (the garnish for their steaks.) Armed with a glass of Macon each our server’s recommendation) we both ended up having plate envy and spent the entire meal stealing each other’s food. My duck was cooked perfectly as was her steak and the accompanying frites and potatoes were delicious too.
For dessert my wife opted for a café gourmand (a coffee with a selection of mini desserts) and I ordered the spiced prunes. Both were excellent but I have to say that spiced prunes were really something to remember my entire trip by.
After a heroic struggle to finish off our desserts, we were surprised to discover that the bill only came to EUR39.80. Astonishing value for what I regard as one of the best meals I’ve ever had. No fuss, no haughty attitude and no pomp and circumstance, just really simple cooking with friendly service at a great price.

I’ve heard French people have a bad rap for being rude. My experience here makes me very inclined to agree.
Bad vibes all around. Felt unwanted and looked down upon.
The bread was dry and tough, the steak: raw and stringy (even though I asked for well done), the fries: greasy and soggy.
Left less happy than when we arrived. What a flop.

Bistrot Victoires fits the bill as as a classic French bistro, but the Sunday brunch/​lunch crowd was relatively young and lively, equal parts French and tourist. I can see how it’s popular on Unilocal.It’s interesting that the surrounding, more expensive restaurants are more popular on Google. The space is relatively large, but they’ve made use of every square inch of it, making it feel bustling and cozy. We took one of the last available tables in the far back. I can heartily recommend the steak frites and crème brûlée.

Meine Freundin und ich waren gestern Abend in dem Restaurant. Das Bistro war sehr gut besucht daher dachten wir dort kann man bestimmt etwas leckeres zum Essen bekommen. Als der Kellner uns ohne Reservierung einen Platz angeboten hat, haben wir uns gesetzt und uns die Karte angeschaut. Wir beide entschieden uns für ein Steak mit hausgemachten Pommes. Als die Steaks kamen sahen diese sehr lecker aus. Die Überraschung kam mit dem ersten biss die Steaks waren kalt und die garstufe war komplett falsch. Wir hatten Medium bestellt und bekamen etwas das Maximal englisch (roh) war. Auf Nachfrage wurde das steak vermutlich nochmal in die microwelle gestellt, eine Entschuldigung gab’s Nicht. Die Pommes waren lecker. Als Nachttisch hatten wir noch crème brûlée diese war inordung aber nicht atemberaubend.

Great food! Love the atmosphere. Felt very fancy, very French. The place was definitely filled with locals and tourists alike, more of the latter than one would expect for the 1er arrondissement. The prices, too, are better than you could usually find in Paris, especially for food quality.
I had a nice glass of Kir to start with — you can select raspberry or peach syrup in lieu of cassis if you so choose! Then, due to only fault of my own, ordered steak tartare, which is not my meal of choice. However, I gave it a try, and the presentation and french fries were both worth raving about. For dessert, my friends and I respectively ordered the chocolate cake, the bananas in chocolate sauce, and the crème brûlée, of course. All desserts were FABULOUS. My chocolate cake was just warm enough to keep the rich chocolate goo inside melty and delicious — and the crème brulée was the best I’ve tasted, though that isn’t saying much.

Un petit bistrot comme on les aime ! Bonne ambiance, plats classiques mais bien réalisés et tout ça très bon marché ! On aime !

La bonne découverte, amoureux de la cuisine de bistrot vous serez servis. Dans une déco à l’ancienne, le Bistrot Victoires ravi les papilles, la carte est extrêmement bien achalandée, entre salades gargantuesques, tartines grillées et plats de pure brasserie. Pour ma part j’ai opté pour l’entrecôte grillée au thym… cette odeur, ce goût hmmmmmmm!!! un délice (et les frites maison rehmmmmmmmm!!!). Je passé sur l’exiguité du lieu, que l’on pardonne aisément à l’arrivé de l’addition, d’une douceur rare dans le quartier.

Très bonne adresse; le rapport qualité-​prix est optimale! Service rapide et desserts de gourmands !

Une salle tarabiscotée, ultra optimisée (oui on est un peu tassés) dans le plus pur style bistro brasserie parisien.
Face à la Banque de France, 1er arrondissement.
et là vous pensez «oula, l’addition va être „locale“». hé bien non.
«Alors le contenu de mon assiette né va pas être top». hé bien non plus.
«OK, alors le service est au lance pierre et sourire de marbre». Non plus ! :)
Le Bistrot Victoires, c’est vraiment la petite découverte du coin, rapport quantité — qualité — prix imbattable dans le quartier (11 euros l’entrecôte — frite et 10 le plat du jour et 5,5 le café gourmand, juste pour exemples).
Service souriant, voire sympa, rapide, efficace.
Bref, Oui, on est un peu serré, c’est un peu bruyant, mais c’est aussi ça l’esprit brasserie du midi à Paris, non?

Can’t beat the price, especially for this area. I ordered the steak medium and it came out rare, but the frites hit the spot.

Cuisine traditionnelle très correcte sans être excellente (quelques ratés: le croustillant du… «croustillant», les profiteroles décongelées, les pommes sarladaises qui feraient bien de venir faire un tour à Sarlat pour y retrouver le recette originale…), pour un prix très modique, avec service rapide et très agréable, une vraie trouvaille dans ce quartier pour déjeuner, à tel point qu’on lui pardonne les petites imperfections ! D’ailleurs, y venir tôt, car ça se remplit vite… et ça devient bruyant et un peu serré.

Rien à dire une vrai. petite brasserie de quartier!

Un bon moment
Très bon accueil, bonne ambiance dans un décor de bistrot, bons plats à des prix très abordables pour Paris. Déjeuner et dîner ds la même journée… eh oui. A recommander sans hésitations.

Mon restaurant préféré à Paris. J’y emmènes souvent mes amis de passage.
La salade landaise est très copieuse mais excellente.

En allant dans ce genre de bistrot, je me demande pourquoi je paie aussi cher dans certains restaurants alors que d’autres proposent des plats simples, pas chers mais authentiques et bons !
C’est vraiment le cas du Bistrot Victoires.
Les plats sont relativement simples, typiques des plats de bistrots: tartare, entrecôte, plusieurs énormes salades, tartines … Mais tous les plats tournent autour d’une dizaine d’euros.
Je choisis la salade océane, une salade avec un pavé de saumon à la mayonnaise, crevettes, calamars, et divers légumes… La salade est énoooorme, fraiche et vraiment bonne !
Ensuite, tous les desserts sont fait maisons, eux aussi plutôt classique. Je me satisfait d’une crème brûlée, pas exceptionnelle mais correcte.
Bref, non la nourriture n’est pas incroyable mais quand le porte feuille né suit plus vos sorties, c’est bon de pouvoir diner dans des bons restaurants à petits prix et qui plus est avec un accueil hyper chaleureux !

Bistrot authentique
Avec une déco bistrot à l’ancienne sympa. Accueil convivial. Tout est bon à manger: viande /​poisson /​salades /​desserts… brunch du dimanche délicieux ! Vins ordinaires & cocktails agréables. Petite table à l’extérieur l’été.

Wir sind durch die Empfehlung der Time Out-​App an einem Sonntag Abend (ohne Reservierung) hingegangen und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Hauptgerichte liegen zwischen 10 ubd 12EUR. Wir hatten Entrecôte, Salat mit Meeresfrüchten und das Tagesgericht (Rumpsteak). Alles war sehr gut. Die Bedienung war nett und sprach auch sehr gut englisch. Die Einrichtung war sehr typisch französisch und nett. Das Publikum war gemischt Einheimische und Touristen gleichermaßen.

Restaurant au top niveau qualité prix ! Des plats qui né dépassent pas les 10,5EUR le soir et 5,5EUR pour les desserts. Des plats consistants, et de bonne qualité. Je vous conseille le confit de canard, un vrai délice ! Bref, un bistrot idéal pour en faire sa cantine tant par le charme des locaux (type bistro typique parisien) et que par l’intégrité de la cuisine !

Encore une très bonne adresse du quartier! Dans un cadre d’ancien bistrot parisien, vous pourrez y manger pour une somme ridicule de très bons plats!
Le fait que les tarifs soit bas, né signifie pas que la qualité est moins bonne ici, bien au contraire, les plats sont excellents et assez variés! Leurs desserts sont aussi à déguster! Le seul bémol, c’est peut être le fait que le restaurant soit quasiment plein tout les midi, et que par conséquent il y ai pas mal de bruit!

Cela commence par être un très beau bistrot tout en bois avec un décor vraiment atypique.
Quant au plat; le menu à 10 euros c’est vraiment bon marché alors que l’établissement se situe en face de la banque de France.

Vraiment une bonne adresse, la carte est originale, le service efficace!
Tout d’abord, le décor est sympa, on se croirait un peu propulsé dans le passé… entre 2 guerres ^^
Les tables et chaises sont en bois, les loupiotes en cloche style années 40 donnent une bonne ambiance cosi!
Après avoir partager une pinte, on attaque la carte en se léchant les babines comme des poilus en permission. Canard, entrecôtes, patates sautées… des classics, avec pour chacun un petit détail auquel il fallait penser… je né me rappel pas de tout malheureusement.
J’ai opté pour l’entrecôte avec son véritable feu de camp au thym par dessus, «True Story» comme dirait Barney Stinson.
Lors du service, la fumée suit le serveur et l’odeur de thym au BBQ envahit la salle. et tout le monde se dit «j’aurai du prendre ça»… et les nouveaux arrivant qui arrivent après humer ce fumet de dehors.
Mais à bien regarder mes voisins, n’ayant pas eu ce petit spectacle, ont tout de même reçu de belles assiettes et personne n’a trouvé qqchose à redire… les assiettes était terminées en un clin d’oeil.
Sans transition… place au dessert! Je né me souvient plus de l’intitulé exact de se dessert à la banane… coupée en morceaux, enroulée dans de la feuille de brique. le tout avec du chocolat fondu et une boule vanille!
Le tout était bien copieux, mais on en redemande!

I really like Bistrot Victoires for its wonderful location (right by Palais Royale, within walking distance of the Louvre) and cheap prices. I found Bistrot Victoires, funnily enough, on an article in front of La Bourse ou la Vie while I was looking for somewhere with good steak.
Bistrot Victoires is pretty famous for its entrecôte grillé au thyme brûlée et garrigue — don’t ask me what garrigue is. (It’s some kind of herb … but I don’t know how it affects the steak). It’s pretty awesome to see the steak come at you with the smoky embers still alight. It’s a pretty solid steak (not spectacular, but good) with yummy fries. The other plats are pretty decently-​priced too, all around 10 – 11 €. :D

Déco patiné de vieux café, cuisine soignée à un prix ultra abordable, c’est le bar bistrot à la française comme on les aiment: simple et pas cher où il fait manger une salade géante, une tartine ou une entrecôte avec un verre de rouge. On n’hésite pas pendant des heures devant la carte: les plats sont sans surprises mais de valeur sûre. Question cadre, pareil, on se sent à l’aise: banquette de cuir, parquet qui craque, petites tables en bois, parfait pour un déjeuner ou un dîner entre copines, sans chichis. Et puis, on apprécie le côté composite du lieu. Ici, tout le monde vient: le touriste, l’employé de banque, le gay, le cadre cravaté, la nana branchée… Et pour cause: tapi derrière la banque de France, à deux pas du sentier, de la rue Montorgueil et des halles, le bistrot Victoire est à la croisée des chemins.
