Burritos & Blues

Havent been here for a while and now I remember why. The food is just a little bland and boring. Had a chicken burrito bowl, chicken was dry got two little bones in there too, went for the hot salsa but ot was fairly timid. Portion size was good, I was full all day and service was good the staff are all very friendly.
Doubt I’ll be going back anytime soon though

This has been my choice for lunch several times over the past few months and every time I had to ask myself why haven’t I learned my lesson?
The place feels soulless and the quality of the burrito is mediocre. The ingredients are hardly mixed together and you have to remind them to be generous with the portion or you will end up with a very light little donkey.
There are many better choices to make both in terms of lunch alternatives in the area and burritos in Dublin.

Ran up here for lunch to day, I made the mistake of ordering the number 4 sauce, despite being warned by the girl serving ! … And yeah … Very hot ! Be warned

A very good burrito. Staff are always very friendly and they get through the queue quickly. The only thing I would fault is that the amount of meat they give you can differ occasionally depending on who they have serving it. Otherwise it’s well worth a visit.

Silver Bullet burrito was decent, not great. Near the IFSC so convenient for lunch. Strictly a take away with a very small counter.
Prices comparable to Chipotle.
Hot sauce was good, nice heat … Made my nose run.

What can I say about this particular Burritos & Blues? It caters to the IFSC crowd so the opening times aren’t so great and it’s tiny, similar in size to the Baggot street Pablo Picante.
The burritos are excellent so that’s all that matters at the end of the day (literally).
It’s a take away more than a restaurant.

Since my last review these guys have made a few changes and I had to come back and update my review and add an extra star. They have removed those pesky stools and now it’s much more open and is great during a busy lunch. They also have a new menu board with all the things they didn’t have listed previously which they do offer now. This location although small is just as brilliant as the other location, but bear in mind they still only do take-​away.

Visited this burrito and blues yesterday, and if you are reading this right now, trust me I’ve been to almost every mexican grill and burrito hut in Dublin, I know my stuff!
I was just after finishing a tasty and fresh burrito in tolteca on Suffolk street, although I was still hungry! my friend and I ventured off to this burritos and blues in desperate search of a tasty and succulent burrito! we got too it and first thing that hit me was the whiff of the strong spicyyy hot sauce and the pork and beef and chicken! dayum that was a good smell! I ordered a pork burrito with brown bean paste, rice, mixed onions and tomatoes, lettuce, guacemole then it was poured with hot sauce and a dabble of sour cream, then wrapped and given to me!
That’s when I knew it was time to go to heaven!
I took it as a take away and whilst I strutted along the streets of dublin alongside my friend who had a similar order, I dove into my burrito and all my senses tingled as I took the first bite… IT TASTED INCREDIBLE! not a tolteca standard but was a delicious burrito all together! I finished it in minutes and was craving another!

Burritos and blues is good, but could be better… I came here for a quick bite to eat yesterday lunchtime and I ordered my usual burrito (carnitas, pinto beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, spicy sauce (no ⁴⁄₅) and cheese)
The burritos are great! And if you’re looking for something quick and filling it does the job nicely but it set me back 7.50 I think. That was without getting a drink. If they did that price with water or a can it would be reasonable.
The ingredients are fresh, however the tortilla/​wrap was slightly stale!
There are better deals around but if you want a burrito in the IFSC then I don’t think you have too many options!

I like great value burritos. If you like great value burritos go here!
Not as nice as Pablo Picantes but a very close second! The staff are friendly and the burritos are consistent.

The last time I go to any Burritos & Blues. For the € 7 I spent I got very little in terms of quality and portion size. I have gone to plenty of other more niche Mexican restaurants around Dublin and they are worth their weight in gold as they provide great service and have generous portion sizes… can’t say the same about B&B, seems to have turned into too much of a franchise,

Impressive customer support convinced me to try this amazingly convenient location for myself once again.
I’ve made two visits since my previous review and it would seem that my initial complaints have been resolved. On Tuesday, I had quite a tasty steak burrito.
My first reaction was a bit concern, because the fellow behind the counter gave me a very small pinch of cheese. But when I asked a third time, it became the way I liked it. A lot of hot sauce, lots of cheese, steak, black bean, and a bit extra rice for body. Yum.
When I ate this, it was absolutely lovely, though my concerns were never really over flavour.
My second visit was even better. What I was after was described to the gentleman behind the counter and it was made without a fuss.
It’s handy as, if there is no queue, you can get one in under five minutes. Very convenient if running for the train, especially since I usually do not have more than 8 minutes to spare. I have to say I’m happy that I’ve had two good experiences in a row, as I like this sort of temptation.

Great place for take away, although I know of a friend who had a great night on Corona & burritos in Burritos and Blues in the Italian Quarter and he scored :-) A great meal. For the backpackers out there. there is cheaper, but this will keep you going for the day ;-)

One of my missions in life is to eat a burrito at every place that sells one. In my adventure across Dublin, Burritos and Blues might be high on my list of Mexican places, so when I found out Burritos and Blues was opening up shop near where I lived and worked, my excitement was more extreme than a teenage girls adoration for the Jonas Bros.
Burritos and Blues did not disappoint. This is a much smaller venue than their other location in city centre. There are probably about 4 – 5 stools max, so this is mainly a grab and go lunch place, but they’ve managed to cram in everything a Mexican place needs and I’ve never had to wait in line for more than 7 minutes to get my food.
The food: I’ve had both the chicken burrito and quesadilla here and recommend both. I typically get the slight burn salsa with guacamole and sometimes don’t add rice. If you want extra burn, I’ve noticed that excluding the rice will add that extra bit of spice you might crave. Who knows, maybe the rice soaks it up! As someone who frequents the taquieras of San Francisco’s Mission District, as well as Chiptole and Qdoba, Burritos and Blues comes close to making some great burritos. I don’t think your an go wrong with any order here.
During Movember, a coworker and I donated money to the cause if one of our other colleagues would go over and buy us burritos. I don’t know if that makes us bad/​weird/​caring, but if you’d give to charity for a burrito you know this place must be good.
