Love me some sushi and had passed and meant to try out Ichiman for a while now. on Being seated, I was impressed with their lunch menu which had a decent amount of options and was reasonably priced to boot. The interior was nice, Japanesy music playing in the background, obligatory koi swimming about in large fish tank. Very pleasant! I went for a mix of various sushi of tuna, salmon, crab etc. The dish looked great and while not the best sushi that I have had in Dublin(that being Musashi) it was still decent enough. I just felt it was the strongest«fish» taste that I has while having sushi. And not even while I was eating it. It was more afterwards and for quite a while to be honest, I kept getting a «fish» taste in my mouth. And I personally found it a wee bit unpleasant and made me wonder slightly as the freshness of the dish in the first place. Just to add, the staff were lovely and very courteous!

Had lunch here today, 2 bento boxes salmon and sushi, came with miso soup, we also ordered gyoza and tofu, which were delicious. Only complaint about the sushi bento was that there was alot of salmon in it. This does not take away from quality if food. Along with the friendly service and plenty of tap water it is somewhere would go back too, € 32 was great value for money

I thought this was quite a nice little spot actually. I’ve walked by a few times and wondered about it, but my curiosity never peaked enough to get me through those doors. I had half an hour to kill the other day, and a craving for sushi. I happened to be standing outside, so in I went. It was a very quick transaction, but it was all very satisfactory. — The place itself is a haven of calm when you step in from the ever-busy Liffey St. Very clean, even some fish swimming around to compound the chill-factor. — The service was flawless — exceedingly polite as is expected in Japanese restaurants, very quick and on the ball — The food was good. I got the spicy tuna roll which was perfectly good. The roe on top was pretty sparse though, and the sauce poured over it tasted like sweet chili sauce from a bottle. Nothing at all wrong, just maybe not quite 5 star. All in all though, I would still return if I was in the area.

It is my first time here. What I like is the kindness of the waitress. They take care this guests. They showed us our reserved table. it was not too close to the entrance, which I liked. I order soft drink no ice and sushi, of course. I liked it! Fresh. It wasn’t cold insid the restaurant. Just perfect! There weren’t lots of peopke, so I could chat. The water wasn’t so good. So I don’t recommend to . overall, everything was good.

We found an online deal to get 22 pieces of sushi + 2 glasses of wine, so we tried our chance. I checked the reviews to see how was the feeling before entering the location. So I give mine. First of all, I read about the light too bright. In my case the light was ok, not too dark, not too bright. Nice Japanese music on the background to make the experience more enjoyable. Again at the right volume. Fortunately for me there were not other customers so I could relax :-) I don’t like when a restaurant is too crowded and people are talking aloud, so this is was perfect. When we came in I mentioned the reservation and they showed us or table, close to the fish tank. Nice fish. A waitress explained us what we were gonna to get with our voucher but also nicely proposed that we could choose a soft drink or a Japanese beer instead. So I went for a Japanese beer Ashaii. So we got our drinks and after a short while we got a nice tray with all the 22 pieces of sushi on display. I am not an expert about sushi too be honest, but the taste was good and fish was really fresh. I tried the wasabi sauce with caution :-) and it was nice too. The place it clean and tidy, all the tables were arranged and the temperature in the room was perfect: not too hot not too cold. Sometimes in a restaurant happens to eat well but it is cold or too warm. I didn’t use the toilet so cannot tell how it was. The only issue I experienced was the tap water had strong hints of chlorine so was not good for me to drink. Probably an idea would be to add a slice of lemon or find another solution. For the rest everything was great.

They renovated this place since last time I came and it looks so much nicer inside now. The interior is very nicely decorated and arranged with a nice aquarium near the back, making the atmosphere pleasant and relaxing. Food: The menu is extensive in terms of sushi, where they have regular maki sushi, temaki(hand rolls), nigiri sushi, hosomaki(thin sushi rolls) and futomaki(fat sushi rolls). You can order the nigiri sushi a la carte ranging from 2 – 3 euro for 2 pieces, or as set menu(chef selection). The sashimi comes in around 5~6 slices with a choices of either Maguro/fresh tuna, salmon or Tako/octopus ranging between 6~8 euro. The sushi was really freshly prepared, affordably prices and there was a good variety. The hot food and main course menu has some nice noodle and rice dishes, and there’s also a wide selection of starters such as Tempura, gyoza, edamame, miso soup, kimichi soup etc. They also have a few Thai and Chinese dishes which wasn’t there before and a the Malaysian dish Nasi Goreng! The portions are quite generous as well, and the warm Sake was amazing! Service: The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and attentive so no complaints there. Overall, a nice and affordable Japanese restaurant with a cosy atmosphere and superb service.

If you’re looking for some sushi that is not incredibly over priced then try ichiman! Got a selection of different sushi here at a very affordable price and found it thoroughly enjoyable! The atmosphere and staff are both very pleasant and there is a decent selection of wines to choose from. The toilets aren’t the best and the restaurant is attached to a dingy all you can eat buffet which is the only reason I couldn’t give this place 5 out of 5

One of the best sushi restaurants in Dublin. I have been going to Ichiman since their 10 Thousand’s days… Their Bento boxes has always been tasty and good value for money. The only small complaint — pls stock up on proper beer glassware!

To be completely honest, I was very apprehensive of this place as I got a bargain offer on groupon for a sushi and wine deal. I was very pleasantly surprised! I was extremely impressed by the presentation and the taste of both of all the sushi and will definitely order them again. Even the little touches were perfect, for example. the wasabi shaped into a cute butterfly. Although there was a slight communication issue over a reservation with the waitress, the service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. The atmosphere was lovely too, very cosy and although it was very busy. there was still a very nice ambience. I’ll be back to sample some more of their Japanese cuisine.

I went here for the first time with a friend who had bought one of the sushi deals online. The first impression on walking in: wow, it’s bright in here! So it’s not exactly cosy but I guess on the other hand it means that they’ve got nothing to hide. :) The tables aren’t on top of each other which is always nice if you want to have a conversation. Sushi was very good and for that I would go there again. The service staff was very friendly but a bit on the slow side.

Rebranded as Ichiman, possibly to distance themselves from the adjoining Ten Thousand buffet restaurant. Despite the updated décor having a better flow(bar not in the middle of restaurant), the lighting is a little too harsh which lends itself to a not relaxed or cosy vibe. Food remains excellent and very well-priced, although the house white wine is awful. Stick to the bottled beer! Service is typically friendly. Note: Beware of «mute beggars» coming into the restaurant with a piece of paper requesting for donations. They target patrons with their phones on the tables, put the paper over it and steal the phones — very organised crime. The girl sitting beside us was unfortunately robbed :(So Unilocalers, please be careful!

Not a bad spot for Sushi. Food was good. I ordered the Thai green curry which was tasty but a little be too watery, my companions ordered the Sea Bass teriyaki which should have come on a hot plate(as stated on the menu) but it did not and they said it was a little bit too salty(although I don’t understand their complaint as teriyaki should be sweet and salty). We had a groupon for € 32 for 4 mains and a glass of wine so we ordered a sushi bento box between the 3 of us(which classed as the 4th main). It was really nice, plenty of variety of sushi and quite tasty. Looking at the menu, the variety of dishes was good, and the price is very reasonable. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated but a little bit too bright. They’ve a lot of lighting that could be dimmed to create a nicer atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but the staff were very pleasant. Now the main complaint I would have is the wine. It’s p*ss poor. You could tell it was watered down. Definitely knocked a few ‘return’ points. I’d go back but only at lunch time for an aul bento box!

I ate a very delicious bento box and i love the panda bear they creat with rice. Good service! Bathroom could be cleaner. I ate the salmon taryaki bento which had a nice slice of salmon, salmon sashimi, veg+prawn(only one) mix tampura, salad, steamed rice and a misu soup. All the food was fresh and tasty! The price was 10.50 on dinner menu…

**Note: Now called Ichiman Japanese and Thai Restaurant We had the opportunity to visit Ichiman thanks to a Groupon deal. Although we were not able to order off of the«Dinner Specials» menu due to the Groupon, we still found the prices to be reasonable. The food was tasty and of good portion size and the overall atmosphere was nice(even on a Wednesday) We started with appetizers of Gyoza and Tom Yum soup and ordered Cashew Chicken and Nabeyaki Udon for our mains. Definitely happy with our selections and likely to come back and order again.
