Very cute old bar! Check out the upstairs area, so awesome! This place amazed me. The bartender was a gentlemen too!

Lovely cocktails, cool surrounds. Great location. Food ok — it would prefer more choice of nibbley dishes but it’s more of a main meal type place. I was with a friend and we just wanted bits and pieces while drinking so we got cheesy fries and a hummus plate to share. was fine but just not much to choose from. #dublinfoodporn

Just adding to all the reviews here saying this place is AWESOME. Kind of a cross between the stereotypical great-grandfather’s study, Hogwarts, and with just a touch of an old Western saloon, it’s a funky sort of antiquated modern that catches one’s interest and is great for people watching. The drinks! *drool* We came here for cocktails having heard that they really put work into them — did not disappoint! My date got a hand-smoked whiskey cocktail which seemed to be pretty popular and even I liked(and I’m not a whiskey fan). I got a s’mores cocktail which had cake crumbs around the rim and tiny roasted marshmallows on a toothpick, was delicious and generated quite the buzz ;) I will absolutely be coming back, the atmosphere was buzzing but not overwhelming, drink selection tremendous, quality exquisite, staff efficient and engaged/engaging!

Fun pub. A couple blocks south of Nassau street. Cool atmosphere with dozens of powdered wigs and 18th century portraits of old dudes in wigs. The bar tender was excellent and made some really hard core drinks finished with smoke… really technical and clearly knew what he was doing. Recommend this bar strongly.

This is one hell of a spot! I love the décor — its like stepping back to the early 1900s! The cocktails are worth every cent! How ever I try and describe them will do no justice to them! You’ll just have to go and taste them! I can also say that the food is also amazing! All round this is a great spot, the staff are cool and will always tell you a little about the cocktail should you have any questions.

Best cocktails in Dublin City. The barmen are so creative and unlike any other bar, they revel in the opportunity to make a cocktail and my god is it good! I recommend the Key lime pie and the zombie.

Amazing cocktails and fast service! Ordered the Harry Houdini and was surprised to see the added smoke to the drink! Good show and good drinks.

Amazing drinks! Someone recommended this bar to us for cocktails and it did not disappoint! Tip: Sit at the bar and watch them put together fabulous cocktails! This place has a great buzz when you walk in. The menu looks like a passport and it’s impossible to choose from the drinks! The bartender surprised me with a delicious gin cocktail. The Harry Houdini comes with a smoke!

This location(after all I am not sure, is it a pub or a restaurant) offers a very unique atmosphere: dark, fluffy, exclusive with extremely motivated and complimentary staff. If you have a question or wish, they will support you. The menus offers special cocktails… Well on the first blink of the eye… If you look a bit more to the detail, you will find out that they are quite common with special names… And prices. A small Mai Tai costs 12, — Euro. It tastes good but is not very special. I hadn’t had anything to eat because it is expensive. What I saw at the table right next to me looked good, but compared to the price, too less. I wasn’t come back to this place because what you get is not very unique. Okay, yes the atmosphere is, but the prices doesn’t justify a return.

I love Harry Potter so the staircase and old world charm in here did it for me. Supposedly it was an old wig shop back in the day and downstairs if you look up, there is a pretty cool display of old wigs. We sat upstairs in Victorian décor heaven, I was in my element. The cocktails at € 12 a pop seem expensive but take your time– this isn’t your average cocktail bar– it’s an experience. The staff really know their stuff so if you are intimated by the extensive menu ask for some guidance they are more than happy to help. Had a gander at the food menus which look really promising, will be back for food and more cocktails; have been dreaming about them since I left.

Absolutely loved this place! Reminded me a bit of the Experimental Cocktail Club in London with the way that it’s got an unassuming entrance and split over a number of floors. Tucked just off of Stephen’s Green in a lovely Georgian-style townhouse, the interior design whisks you back in time too and just about gets away with the retro furnishings. The bar staff know their onions here and will go off piste if there’s a particular cocktail you want that’s not on the list. I love a whiskey cocktail — in particular a Sazerac — and they made me a smokey sour twist on said Sazerac — served in a smoked glass. It was AMAZING.

Friday night and I wanted a cocktail, my partner and I stopped for a drink. P&P was busy but we got seats. It was warm and cosy. Mixed group of clientele which is nice to see on Dawson St. I got the Shrewsbury(I hope that’s the name) cocktail and it was very good! Very strong and did the trick. I will definitely go back to P&P for a cheeky cocktail.

Visited P&P for the first time only recently and fell in love with the place! Walking in is the décor is really old fashioned with the 1927 flick metropolis playing on a wooden tv in the corner adding to the effect. The menu’s are on little passport booklets and the witty names at to the atmosphere as does the candles that sit on the little tables that are dotted throughout the establishment. We tried various cocktails and my personal favourite was the ministry of silly drinks which I would advise any first time visitor to try! All are completely loaded with alcohol and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful! If you give them a base you enjoy such as whiskey or vodka they would be able to advise what you might like and if you choose something extra sweet or bitter they will kindly warn you what it will be like when you order. Definitely will be returning in the very near future!

Came in here on a Saturday afternoon. Just had a very generous glass of wine. Décor is quirky! Felt a bit like stepping back in time(I assume that’s the look they’re going for) Will definitely try to return to try some of their awesome cocktails and food!

Rude staff, quite dirty, sticky tables and menu — the menu itself difficult to read. They are trying way too hard in here to be something amazing… well, I prefer VCC.

I went to there early bird time on Friday night. But there already had full table. Fortunately we could get a table of 3F(we didn’t reservation). Stuffs is friendly and kindly. We got drink glass of wine, prosecco, and some cocktails. If you like cocktail, I recommend this place. Because there are a lot of cocktail menu and good taste! Also we ordered some starters. Caesar salad, olive, and liver. The liver was brinish, but it was ok. And olive was black and green. Green olives was big and included seed. I went to there in cold day, but inside was hot.(too hot!) I think there require temperature regulation.

Quirky little place but don’t be deceived as there is an upstairs. Standard draft selection from what I could see but I assume wine and cocktails are the main stay. The ambience is as stated above quirky with wigs abound. Seating is compact but comfortable and the candlelight makes for an intimate setting. The cocktails looked very good but I opted for a glass of wine that was generous in the pour.

Great cocktails, I’ve been a couple of times and always get seated right away. This place is cozy and plush with heavy drapes and dim lighting — perfect for midday drinking on a weekday sans judgement. The drinks menu is more of a booklet, but it’s not pretentious in the slightest. The staff is really helpful in navigating it too, so you can just say«citrusy, vodka-y and egg white» and they’ll help you locate a cocktail that fits that description. I’ve been here a couple of times, and the key lime pie martini is delightful. It comes with a blow torched meringue topping and has graham crackers around the rim. How’s that for attention to detail? It’s also not too sweet at all. I also really enjoyed the Nom de Plume cocktail, which is like a refreshing grapefruit and elderflower concoction. I also tried the food for the first time last week, and the chicken liver pâté is unREAL. It’s a huge serving, enough for 3 – 4 people, but my friend and I finished it between 2. Oops. In our defence, it was our dinner. The crispy baguette slices they serve with it are perfect, we had to ask for more to finish the pâté. All in all, a really solid experience.

Holy smoly… What an absolutely amazing wonderland! Very discreet cocktail lounge on Dawson Street, heck, if you weren’t looking for it you’d not even know it was there but boy, am I glad I know where it is now!!! There are two very contrasting areas, the bar area just inside on the ground floor is great but for me the real gem is the dining room up on the first floor. It is the prettiest room which you can see from my photos. When I arrived, the barman cleaned down the window seat, which I was delighted to have the view out onto Dawson St plus as I was stopping for food and drinks, lounging this way is right up there for me. The cocktail menu is out of this world; it’s currently themed on around the world in 80 cocktails, so there is a cocktail from 80 that is reminisce of a country. With so much to choose from, the barman and super helpful, I mean this guy went over and beyond, talked us through techniques he uses, the variations of alcohol, e.g. a cocktail typically made with whiskey, he makes with Irish poitin. Ordered from their lunch menu, I had the chicken club… This was a beast of a sandwich and packed with awesome flavour. Highly recommend and at € 9.95 it is worth it and I have to say, I toyed with the idea of getting the fries. No need, the sandwich fills ye right up! I tried 2 cocktails plus of course, sipped/tasted the 2 my husband got and each one, was as exciting as the other. I some people would be alarmed by the price tag however at € 11 – 12 a pop, they are at the higher end but they are worth it… This is a premium cocktail you are getting, freshly made with a lot of Tender Loving Care; I would not begrudge a cent. As for now, all I can think about is… When am I going again :-)
