I agree with a few others who have written reviews. The waiter we had was rude, arrogant and could not have carried a less about his service to us. The food was marginal and certainly not exceptional nor worth the price. Many other choices with far better service and food.

We headed over to Harry’s for a dessert and cocktail around 9:30 pm on a Thursday and were told that it was«an America style bar» and we could not be seated. The place was dead and we were completely confused as to why we couldn’t be accommodated. Then we were told that this is, «George Clooney’s favorite hangout.» After we stopped laughing… We headed to an establishment that was willing to serve an environmental scientist and an electrical engineer visiting from Los Altos, California on business… I guess we just aren’t as cool and educated as the likes of George Clooney(aka George Burnett a la Facts of Life). Skip this place… Any establishment that bends over for celebrity isn’t worth the time and will probably disappoint. We love visiting Lake Como, we do it often because we’re collaborating with a near by college, just wish George Clooney and his tiny IQ would move back to Hollywood.

Great location next to the water, water shuttle pick up and fountain. Tried some unique food such as octopus carpaccio which was not bad, shrimp and cannoli Beans. Shrimp appetizer was not bad bc it was tender but the beans were plain. The balsamic vinegar and olive oil is one of the best I’ve had so far in Italy. Tried the beef tartar for main course, interesting bc it tasted like a tender ketchup and onion hamburger. Ate outdoors on the patio. Enjoyed the ambience. Service was one of the better ones for being here in como. But pricey for two people lunch with only 1 main entrée and two appetizers 90 eu :/
