Please vegans vegetarians and other curious eaters don’t go to this place as we had the worst experience EVER. To be honest this is the first bad review I have ever written as I know the hardship of owning a restaurant. The food is by all means horrible. Tasteless, weak trash. We had a quiche and payed 10 euro for a small piece(1⁄9th part of a whole) there was absolutely no taste and I don’t exaggeratemeit was cardboard. The owners are moneymaking machines with abslutely no knowledge of cooking proper food. The idea of an vegan/vegetarian place in Florence which is also organic is great but they messed it up completely. The owners are rude and stingy.

Don’t be fooled by the nice patio and greenery, this place would be closed if it wasn’t on a street with a lot of pedestrian traffic. I guess I should have taken the hint when I walked in and asked to see a menu and the gentleman gestured me back outside to read what was on the door instead of simply passing me a menu. I just told him I’d sit– I understand there are cultural differences. The miso soup was shit, which is disappointing when the place is called miso & you-couldn’t-pay-me-to-try-their-rice. My spinach salad came on a side plate, with a three-finger-pinch of spinach, a touch of pathetic looking romain hidden on the bottom for filler, 3 walnuts, and a few pieces of Swiss cheese. I waited 10 minutes to even taste it bc I wanted to make sure I had ordered that spinach salad for 8 euro, and not a side salad, but nobody was concerned a patron(one of only six in the entire restaurant) hadn’t touched his entrée. When I was a few bites in, i.e. Halfway done; the waitress asked me if I’d like some bread with my salad. Ahh, the saving grace, now I won’t have to immediately eat again. When I was charged for the bread, the response from the same socially inept gentleman quickly grabbed a menu and explained in arrogance that it was listed on the menu. I will not make a scene and argue over two euro, it’s not worth my time to explain simple hospitality issues to a full grown man with his head up his ass, however, I can only hope he is the owner, bc it would be a shame if he was dragging somebody else’s business through the mud like that. The way to keep clientele is not to nickel-and-dime them. If you want to seriously over charge for lettuce, serve bread with with it as a courtesy, or try to actually make it a meal that you’d be happy eating and paying for yourself. When charging for bread serve something with it, butter, olive oil, a jam of sorts, capisci? And the«got ya» charge just piss people off. Clearly. Your welcome, I usually charge for business advice

Ate at Miso di Riso my first day in Florence. Staff are very kind and very good at what the do. Service was just fine to me but be prepared to wait just a little. Food was healthy and well prepared. I had the Vegan Risotto and a glass of Sangiovese. The atmosphere is casual and positive. Prices were very reasonable as well. Highly recommended for vegans and raw foodies.

Bad service. We went at 3pm and where told we couldn’t have a drink in the garden cause it’s for lunch guest… there was only 2 people In the garden. They over charged us(only 1euro), and the drinks where overpriced to begin with.

The back garden caught our eye while we were walking past so we decided to stop for a drink. The unfriendly man behind the counter informed us that the garden was reserved for lunch patrons only(it was completely empty) and told us we could only stay inside. We decided to stay anyways but were underwhelmed by the the overpriced wine and beer, and the cash only policy. Please note the serving staff were friendly.

We really had a bad experience as miso do riso. After it became clear that we want to have breakfast and not lunch, the waiter commanded us to sit on a big table with other guests and not«waste» a private table. We asked again because we wanted to a eat a big breakfast. He just answered: no, can not. We had to leave, him not apologizing or anything at all. Really felt thrown out for wanting to order the wrong dishes apparently. Miso di Riso just missed out on 40 euros.

Had a very uncomfortable experience for a very high price. Me and my girlfriend went to this place on our Italy vacation looking for a quiet vegetarian break. We ordered dinner and were craving bread. We were surprised we had to pay for it seeing that all other Italian places had given us some. We received our bread with a good attitude and noticed there was no oil or anything to dip this very dry bread. We asked for a side of oil and to nobody’s fault there was a language barrier and a miscommunication. They brought us a second order of 2 measly bread with oil on it. I brought it to the counter to explain a very minor issue and this is when the husband stepped in– He was very defensive and egotistical in telling me that their mistake could not be undone. He refused to see that the customer was right and that his wife could never make a mistake. They then ignored the rest of the night. This food is very expensive and could be made by most vegans at home. Very stingy self righteous owners with no ability to relate to their customers. They’ll get you for every dollar they can while acting like they care about free trade and organics.

The place itself is really cute and it’s a bit of a new concept for Florence: a nice place where you can and enjoy vegetarian & healthy food, right in the centre. I went for a main of tofu, onions, potatoes and beans: it was quite good but nothing I couldn’t have prepared at home in a few minutes. There was also a little salad and the oil tasted quite bad(I’m an oil freak…). I really didn’t like the fact that they charge you more for bread: in Italy you just need a few slices of bread to properly enjoy a meal, and although you still pay for it when/if there’s a «coperto», just the idea of paying extra for bread doesn’t appeal to me. My friend took a soup of topinanbur and millet which tasted delicious. I tried their coffee and it was really good, and organic. The prices seem a bit too high and you can only choose between 5 – 6 dishes. It’s a nice place but I don’t know if I’ll be back.(They have vegetarian food for dogs!)
