In Rome wine or any other legal/illegal narcotic is necessary to cope with the stress of the city. Between the Extreme loud constant noise that just won’t stop of crazy drivers honking profusely, or the weird constant siren noise that still has my ears ringing even though I’ve left the country, it’s just unbearable for someone who seeks tranquility. There’s no such thing as peacefulness in Rome. So what do you do to escape the madness? Find a small semi-quiet corner café and order a large Liter of wine to chill the fuck out! It’s only like 9 € for the huge carafe which is obviously well worth the buzz.

Probably the best cappuccino I’ve ever drunk in my life. So before going to the Colesseum we wanted to take our breakfast. We were walking in San Giovanni and used Unilocal to find a caffe to get a quick coffee to kick off our day. We found this one and I’m glad we chose it. Absolutely marvelous. Guys there are really friendly and the service was pretty quick and always with a smile. The cappuccino? Other than it tasted like Christmas and the cream was just perfect, it was only 2 €(you’d pay around 8 € for the same size in Nice, but not for the same quality). You Italian people know how to make coffee and all its derivatives. I love you. The little delices such as the croissants and such were really delicious too. Not heavy, just sweet and so tender. Amazing place.

We came here as our last lunch before leaving for the airport to Split, Croatia. Juju ordered the ravioli and it was very delicious. Perfect portions and it came very fast. Lyla got the same thing and loved it too. Keep in mind they only have pizza at night, but they have a great selection of delicious pastas. They have great lasagna which alleanna and john ordered.(Review by Juju 2015)

Café San Clement, My wife and her mother and myself stopped here on our way to the Colosseum from the Scala Santa. This restaurant is a small stop about 200 meters from the Colosseum. The staff is typical of small locations through out Rome like this, friendly and with quick service while not seeming pushing. We had the 4 cheese gnocchi, baked chicken, 4 cheese pizza. The baked chicken seemed to be fried just based off the appearance and got soggy really quick. The 4 Cheese gnocchi was absolutely great, especially after adding some pepper. The 4 cheese pizza was typical for Rome, good. I would recommend this place if your walking around but don’t make a trip out of it.
