This is the worst meal I’ve had in Europe… and the most expensive. We sat down and asked for menus, but instead our waiter proceeded to point out what our options were in the display case, most likely to avoid the prices. We ordered two dishes, a bottled water, and a smoothie. I noticed it was cafeteria style and they were reheating food, which I was not thrilled about, but we needed something fast and easy. My food was not edible. It was hard, dried out, and gross. I couldn’t even finish it. The waiter brought our bill and it was 75 Euros!!! 12 Euros for tip, was included. We checked to make sure this wasn’t a mistake and the staff was rude to us. These people aren’t in the restaurant business… They are scam artists, preying on tourists from the Vatican. It’s really pathetic they have to run their business this way. DONOTGIVETHEMYOURBUSINESS!

Do not eat here. It is very close to the Vatican, so it is convenient if you are in the area. However, the food is horribly overpriced. The service is not good. You have to wait and wait to get someone’s attention. The spaghetti was cold and the meatballs were scalding hot. I did not get the drink I asked for and was charged double the price for a Fanta soda. I was forced to pay a 20% tip, even though I was not part of a large party. In fact, I was eating alone. My bill was almost three times as much as what I have paid for similar meals in Rome.

This place is a horrible tourist trap! Today we went there to have lunch because we have seen this café the previous evening and thought it looked very appealing. Prices are shown inside in the front but it’s not made very clear that you have to pay DOUBLE the price if you sit down to have the food! We ordered three small sandwiches which they served with fries. Not only were the sandwiches dry and hard, the fries were also completely soft and tasteless. In addition, we ordered one coffee and two soft drinks. In the end they charged us 67 €!! I would highly recommend to stay away from this place!

This place is your standard tourist trap scam restaurant. We went in on our way from the Vatican back to our hotel to grab some gelato and coffee. When you first walk in to get gelato, you see the case and the prices listed. What they don’t tell you is that the prices listed are only for taking gelato to go. If you want to sit in the restaurant and eat your gelato, a small dish goes from 3 € to 12 € without any warning. We ordered 2 coffees and 2 small dishes of gelato and our final bill ended up being 42 €. If you’ve got that much to spend on a nice meal, go anywhere else but this place. With questionable business practices, like not posting real prices, I would be hesitant to ever return. And as far as the gelato, it wasn’t really even that good. It was more grainy than smooth and the vanilla tasted a lot like lemon which I thought was strange. You can get a great dish of gelato elsewhere for much cheaper.
