Topside Roma

We were in Rome for New Years… The burgers we ordered were fantastic. Fries were good too. I have to agree with Shannon G on this restaurant; surprising that others didn’t like it. To each their own. However, often American tourists compare things on how we do it in the USA… that won’t work abroad. Good food!

After reading the other reviews I have to say I’m surprised but we didn’t have what they had so listen to me and get the onion rings!!! Ok get more than onion rings but they were seriously that good. My mouth is watering just writing about them. My burger was very good as well and so was my husbands pizza. My only complaint was the AC didn’t feel like it was on even though the waiter said it was.

Not good. The food was extremely bland. They did offer American craft beer which was ok, but honestly not what i’m looking for while vacationing in Rome. When I tried to use the Unilocal check in offer I was told that it was only valid if i had booked a reservation… Seemed strange, but I didn’t push it. Nor could I tell if they were pulling a fast one on me since the instructions/​details were in Italian.
I did find it humorous that the décor here is «American Hipster». Someone clearly went on Pintrest and printed random pictures of folks with piercings and tattoos.

Horrible experience at this restaurant. I came with three other friends and we ordered pasta, bbq ribs, pulled pork sliders and chicken wings. Both pasta dishes we ordered were UNCOOKED and extremely SALTY. My lips started burning from the saltiness after I ate a quarter of my plate. The bbq ribs and the chicken wings were dry and cold. I think they pre-​cooked them and just serve them as customers order without heating them up again. The only dish that was warm and decent was the pulled pork sliders. (Thank god because all 4 of us ended up sharing that one dish.)
The free wifi service offered is only working if you are sitting in the front of the restaurant. My friends and I were seated in the back of the restaurant and the waiter told us that we were too far away from the modem. Oh and there were only 2 servers in the entire restaurant so expect slow service!
To sum it up, don’t go there unless you’re desperate for food.
