So you’re in Sorrento and you don’t really want to have pizza again(not that you don’t love pizza). Please go here for dinner, but go later like the locals do. The dining room looks nothing like you’d think fr: street, service and food are wonderful! Prices are more, but so worth it! Pasta is al dente, produce & seafood local, dessert topped off w/limoncello, what?!? Ah-may-zing! Tutto deliciozo

We approached this restaurant with scepticism due to it being provided by our tour guide but it was indeed excellent. It was the middle of winter so very quiet and this we had the full attention of staff. The food was exquisite and the wine also. They make their own limoncello which was gorgeous.

This was probably the best meal we had on our visit to Italy. Attentive owner, delicious meals at reasonable prices. Relaxing garden patio, wait staff was excellent.

We ate at Tasso last night for the second time, OMG again amazing! The waiters went out of there way to make us feel special. The pasta, steak, pizza was great. We may eat there for the third time in our short stay in Sorrento.

We only had pizzas for dinner but the service was top notch. Watching the waiters efficiency on a busy evening was incredible. The pizzas were fantastic as well. This is a can’t go wrong place to grab a meal.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we are so glad that they did. The staff greets you like you’re their oldest, dearest customers and treat you that way, too. My wife was recovering from food poisoning, so they brought her plain noodles while I had a full, delicious meal. Food and service were exemplary. When we came back the next night, it seemed like every waiter in the place knew about my wife and asked how she was feeling. We not only had another terrific meal… but the waiter whipped up limoncello cocktails for us that weren’t on the menu and we loved them(and also enjoyed the icy cold shot of limoncello they give you at the end of your meal). We came back on our third and final night, had another great meal and cocktails, and wished we could have packed the restaurant up and brought it back to LA with us. Make sure to visit the restaurant, say hello to Mr. Franco the manager, and prepare to be treated like their best customers.

My husband and I had a lovely experience here our last night in Sorrento. The service was very warm and the food(we had the foie gras, homemade pasta with smoked mozzarella and porcini, homemade duck ravioli and margarita pizza) was superb. The owner also recommended a delicious and affordable wine to go with everything. That really helped us ring in our end of Italy meal in style!

I know I know! I give 5 stars often. Maybe because I pick awesome places to chow down at. It’s like a gift to know when there’s good food around. We hit this place up while vacationing and you’d think that these restaurants, while enjoying the revenue from tourists, would be a little annoyed. NOPE! This place was super friendly, attentive, and best off — the food was AMAZING! We were walking in the heat of July ready to fall over. Not only did they have wifi, but it was nice and cool inside. I have zero idea what the rest of my family had but I had an ice cold beer and the pescatore. My mind was blown. If you like pizza AND seafood, then you’re going to love this pizza. Mussels, calamari, octopus, prawns… PFFT! NUTS I tell you! Best of all, for 7 of us, it was probably a third of the price we’d pay for that kind of food in the states. Couple the food with excellent, friendly service, you’ve got yourself a must stop place while in Sorrento.

Yum! From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing. We were greeted, sat at a great table and then told that they could adjust any requirements we might have. We started with the pizzas, which were without a doubt amazing! Thin crust, amazing flavorful tomato’s and great cheese. Delicious. The mixed salad had these amazing tomatoes, great fennel, radichio, and lettuce that was great. The pastas, some homemade, were so good. I can’t say enough about this place, and they have a great selection of wines to boot from regions all over Italy.

This restaurant was recommended to us with glowing reviews. The appetizer and entrée left us extremely unimpressed… the dessert was AMAZING. This restaurant just went from 0 to real quick. The mozzarella cheese in the caprese salad was tough and weirdly textured. The salad had to be highly salted and peppered to be enjoyed. Same with the seafood spaghetti. The pasta was bland and the seafood was surprisingly old for a restaurant in a coastal town. The squid was bland and the shrimp was not fresh. The dessert was fantastic. It seemed as if the desserts came from a completely different restaurant. The pear ricotta dessert was light and airy, paired perfectly with a tart pear. The tiramisu was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. It was topped with a mixture of berries and accompanied by a madeline. Overall, the atmosphere of this restaurant is nice and the waitstaff are extremely attentive. The appetizer and entrée were a bore; the desserts were phenomenal. Me out.

I found Ristorante Tasso excellent. The restaurant is beautiful, well laid-out, and clean. We dined in the garden, which was meticulously maintained. The chairs were comfortable, I could not have asked for better service, and the food was delicious! Now, we were here for a late Sunday lunch, so we ordered on the light side: two Caprese salads(€ 12 each /they are large, plenty for two), shared, and Calabrese(€ 12), Margherita(€ 10), and Vivaldi(€ 10) pizzas, shared. The salads and shared pizzas came divided from the kitchen, and the presentations were beautiful. This is a service I really appreciate! Five Stars, and I am looking forward to returning.

Loved this place so much we went twice during our week vacation. The pizza is awesome. My husband loved the seafood pasta. I also tried the vegetarian tasting menu, which was great — particularly the stuffed zucchini flowers. So good. The staff is amazing. They remembered us when we came back. Very friendly and attentive. It’s also beautiful inside. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sorrento.

As I begin to write this review, I’m already salivating. The though of Tasso makes me hungry for Pie and Pasta! They make everything fresh and seasonal. All the seafood is fresh. Something about the sea air and all the natural local ingredients that they cook with that makes every bite a heavenly experience! We ordered Pizza and Pasta to share. Along with it, we got a mix of local seafood. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious! I so wish I were there now. No matter what or how much you eat, you have to have a little Lemoncello to finish your meal. They also cater here. So if you have a function, it’s a great idea to use Tasso! I’ll be counting the days till I get back here in September. For those that are familiar with restrooms in Italy. This is one of the cleanest.

Tasso was recommended to us by concierge at our hotel. Food and service were excellent. We started with the Caprese Salad. They stepped it up, with local mozzarella, oregano & fresh olives. Pizza was the best we’ve had so far in Italy, and the Ziti pasta with Neapolitan sauce & spare rib was the ultimate comfort food. Meal was capped off with a nice, strong shot of limoncello. Recommend for casual, rustic dinner in Sorrento.

The pizza had the freshest, most delicious tomato sauce I have ever tasted. It was pretty remarkable, actually. That said, the pizza could have used more sauce, cheese, and basil, and less crust.

Very good pizza and ravioli, server not so friendly — but maybe it’s a euro trash thing

Wasn’t impressed at all, pizza was ok, service was horrible. Waited over 45 min after we ordered for our food.

Our tour guide from Can’t Be Missed tours took our tour bus here for lunch. Nice restaurant. I thought our pizza and pasta were great. Service was fine. Price seemed right. The best part about Tasso was that the bathrooms were superb. In fact, after touring Sorrento, we stopped by to use the bathrooms again before getting back on the tour bus.
