The hotel is centrally located near St Mark’s Square which is very convenient for sightseeing. It is a very small hotel with a charming décor. My room was clean, comfortable and had a nice view overlooking the water. Breakfast was average with hard boiled eggs, pastries, ham, cheese, yogurt, cereals, fruit, coffee and tea. The criticism I have of this hotel is the gentlemen working reception. I had a bad experience with both the day and night shift. They acted annoyed by basic questions and were not pleasant during the checking in and out process.

Nice, comfortable beds. Very quiet rooms were once Vivaldi’s, so you feel like you’re living in a bit of actual history. Great views of the Grand Canal! The staff is friendly, but not bending over backwards to help you as the other hotels we stayed at in Italy. Definitely eat in the terrace restaurant. The views are magical and the food some of the best we’ve had in Venice. As a first timer, staying so close to St. Mark’s is a plus since it’s easy to get everywhere, however this is where all the tourists are. The area is crazy crowded, so be warned.

GReat Location, great staff, great property!!! I can sy just good things about locanda vivaldi. The location is perfect, just beside saint mark square and facing the lagoon. Rooms are big(at least for italy!!!) and very well kept(very very clean!!!). Staff is friendly and helpfull, and the breakfast is gorgeous. A big plus is the panoramic terrace upstairs, great for a drink in the afternoon. They have also a restaurant up there, very nice! exclusive for the guests of the hotel, not pricey at all and with great food, service and view!!! Video link:
