The Tap & Still

My favorite place to eat when I’m in St. Thomas. I always get a double bacon cheeseburger and a cheese dog. Hot dogs are grilled, split and served on their burger buns. So damn good! Oh, don’t forget the fries. They are on point. They also have a decent beer selection. Enjoy!

Great burgers, good fries, four beers on tap, friendly/​attentive Staff AND great prices (cheaper than Stateside.) Really!
When you’re tired of lavender-​encrusted tuna with seared goat cheese pecan spread (i.e., you’re looking for comfort food), then Tap & Still will be an excellent choice even with its limited food menu (burgers, dogs, wings, fries and funnel cake).

Great basic dive hamburger bar on the harbor. Away from the crazy crowds of the cruise ships, nice little area of St. Thomas. This bar has all the basics; beers on tap, special IPA’s, nice bourbon selection. They have a great way of ordering food– order sheets are on the bar in front of you, you check off what you want, and SHAZAM… It appears a few minutes later in a brown paper bag in front of you — ready to consume — did I say hot & delicious? Fries are hand cut perfection! And the burger… WOW! They also have a funnel cake to order for desert if you have the room

This was our first restaurant in Red Hook after stepping off the charter boat. Typical pub atmosphere with associated beer and food. Essentially an open air location with only the firewall closed off completely. Music may be a bot loud for some, but I’m sure you could ask for it to be turned down. We ate here twice in 3 days as we liked it so much. You write down what you want with pencil/​paper on their templated menus. The food comes in a brown bag as if you are ordering take out. Very slick. Staff was friendly, food was fast and very good. Well, we had burgers both times so we can’t speak for the rest of the menu. Crowds will ebb and flow as people arrive for, and depart from their charters as we did. Prices are reasonable, and they have the reputation as one of the best burgers on the island.
