A pub that’s walking distance from my home is always a bonus. This Fullrs pub on trendy Portobello Road ticks most boxes for me. It’s a nice pub with plenty of beer choices and guest ales. The blue washed paint exterior and interior give it an almost nautical feel. I usually just have a pint here, but the other night I met up with 20 friends for a meal night out. In my mind, all I could visualise eating was a burger(well it is a pub!). When I arrived I was imppressed with the menu choices. In the end I went for a Chicken Supreme. It was a nicely spiced chicken breast on a layer of potatoes, asparagus and green beans. It was really tastey and I would recommend it. I should have known the food would be good, as when I come her for just a pint, I find it difficult to get a spare table. If you’re in the Portobello Road, Notting Hill area, it’s worth a try especialy if you sign up to their mailing list, as you will get a free pint, glass of wine or soft drink for your effort. Great little pub me thinks!

Nice mix of people — lots of good drinks on offer and the food looked good. Cool bar/pub feeling with trendy décor.

Well, its a pub on Portobello Rd. with literally thousands of tourists coming by. Service was friendly and took great care of us. You can have a drink there when walking up an down Portobello. The food is not recommendable. go to Portobello Market or some of the other locations you can find on Unilocal serving better food!

Just went for a beer and catch a glimpse of a 6 nations game that weekend while walking down the Portobello Market. While I loved this market it is the second time i stopped to a pub along the way and I am glad I did. This place is a very nice pub. It looks a little quiet from the road, especially when the sun is out, and when the street vendors stand are blocking the view, but it is actually very nice inside. Nice rond shapped bar standing in the middle of the main room and plenty of tables and seats every where to sit. Wether you are one or 8, there is room for you. Staff was quite young when I can, and not always seemed to be on top of everything but all went well and sat is one if not the busiest day of their week so that may be why. Had a cask beer(bitter?), very nice. Stayed at the bar for an hour or so. Plenty of sun coming in, lots of life going on, finished my glass and went on. Would def go back to try the food while in the area.

Amazing Sunday roast! It is so hard to find a good vegeterian option for Sunday roast! They have the best one! A vegetable Wellington which is supreme! Also the chicken, pork or beef sunday roasts are very very good. The service is also impressive. We were a big group and they made sure everything worked well and the food was served quickly. We have a big table that took most of the upstairs dining room, so it was very private and the atmosphere were perfect. Loved it and I highly recommend this pub.

Visited for a glass of wine after work on a Friday evening. The crowd appeared to be mostly locals across a wide age range(30s to 70s). Bar service was quick and friendly. Can’t comment on the food but the wine selection was fine. The vibe was mellow and I enjoyed standing outside — it was one of those mild spring evenings in London. Overall it was a nice spot and I’d definitely come back for a weeknight drink.

This place, serivce wise, was by far the worst of all places we have been in London. We got in on a rainy day, two other tables were occupied. The guy behind the bar was clearly still asleep, seemed like he had a long night. So we sat there for over 10 minutes, instead of helping us they brough a pot of tea that was ordered by one of the other tables. Then another 10 minutes passed by and I stood up to ask how the ordering procedure was done over here. Instead of him taking my order, he waved to his colleague, that was having a chat with another colleague, to take our order. So eventually she did. Finally after we got our food and drinks which were decent on there own. Its a pitty the service was so poor given that this place was almost empty. The entire experience did affect our appetite and therefore the poor rating.

Au pub The Duke of Wellington! So british!

Apparently featured in the Film Nottingham Hill but not one I have seen nor desire to see. Nice place to take a break from the Portobello Road Market. Nice pub and makes a good half way stop along the market stroll. Not very crowded at 1130 so it was easy to find a place to sit and crowd watch. I suggest the high table in the rear for a quieter location good for people watching.

Overcrowded(whole week, especially on a Friday night) and very noisy. A lot of rubbish all over the place and quite expensive.

Saturday night, really crowded but got a table. Drinks weren’t that pricey but took forever to get served. Meh it wasn’t anything special, just another pub. I haven’t seen«Notting Hill» so even that aspect of it was missed by me.

We walked into this pub not realizing that it was the same one featured in the movie«Notting Hill». That’s their claim to fame and that’s about it. The rose wine I had was a decent pour but served in a dirty wine glass.(you can totally see the water mark on my glass!) the bf liked his Guiness. We ordered their pita and hummus with warm olives as a light snack. On a nice day, the seats outside provide a prime spot for people watching because the pub’s superb location is right in the middle of the action — the famous Portabello road. Skip the overpriced food, but stop by for a drink — the barkeep is friendly and nice. Pooches welcome too!

This is a great pub, not too far(about 10 mins) from Notting Hill tube. Friendly staff, lots of character, some great local and guest ales and more than enough seating indoors and out(went on a Friday night so was surprised). Perfect place to while away a few hours.

MYPURSEWASSTOLENHERE. Caught on CCTV camera. It’s an area known for theives and I’m a dumb American woman. Also, the food was okay. Beer menu was quite limited. Friends ordered burgers and they were overly cooked. On the other hand, I had the blue cheese and mushroom risotto and it was very good. Even though my purse was stolen and it was on the internal security camera, the manager did not offer us a free meal. That stung. I won’t be back.

This is the best pub I’ve ever been to since I arrived in London last year! Located on Portobello road, the area is just awesome! They make really good burgers, for really cheap! I went there with my friends, we started chatting and we quickly noticed two or three hours had already passed! You just feel home! There are even very comfortable sofas if you feel tired! And there are two poker tables if you are a poker fan!

I was told by a friend to go and check this pub out, as it is quite a little hotspot for locals. I went during the day for a quick beer, and also to break up the shopping expedition on Portobello Road. The main reason this friend told me to go, was because it was in the film Notting Hill. Having not seen the film, it didn’t really make much of an impact on my experience. The lovely beer, while sitting outside and watching Portobello Rd., did however make my experience quite pleasant. The pubs location is great, as it is right in the middle of Portobello Rd. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there, but it is worth going if you are in the area.

This pub may have featured in the film ‘Notting Hill’ but I think there are much better pubs in the area. It is in desperate need of a makeover– I do not mean a gastro pub transformation but just updating. The location is spot on for people watching as it is situated on the busy corner of Portobello market.

The Duke of Wellington is in a great location and, as it is a Young’s pub, serves some brilliant beers. Despite having these two important things going for it, they are squandered by shoddy service and extortionate prices both for food and drink. The four or five tables outside are, if you can get one of them, lovely to sit at on a warm summer evening, but you should go to the Duke of Boots expecting to get single measures when you asked for doubles, gin and soda when you asked for gin and tonic, and lager when you ordered ale. This is not a bad place to make a pit-stop in if you happen to be in the area, but it is not worth a journey and is a pretty unfortunate place to have as my local.
