We had a sampling of fish and chips, beef pie, and wagyu burgers. All were phenomenal! Great atmosphere filled with both visitors and locals.

perfect pub close to the hotel(Cumberland) and Hyde Park. Great place for a quick pint, or to sit back and relax for a spell

Popped in here on our first day in London while on Holiday. After flying in that morning this was our first real meal in town after a day on Oxford Street etc. Ordered a few pints which started off the meal nicely and ordered some british favorites. meat pies, fish & chips and banger & mash. All were excellent. The meat pie was the best of the trip and something I will want even when back in the states. Give it a try you wont regret it.

Who would believe that this great Taylor Walker pub is just off the hell that is Oxford Street. Once you are in there, you could be in a busy village gastro pub. We here for lunch on a recent Saturday and while it was busy we found a table and enjoyed excellent burgers. There were other interesting items on the menu but it was basically good pub grub. There was a good selection of real ale that was in good condition. Staff were friendly and provided table service for drinks and food. I can recommend this pub as a great escape from torture by shopping.

Great English style pup. 4 to 5 beers on cask and good ones. The pies are also amazing. Everything I was expecting when I walked in.

This pub was recommended by the owner of our hotel. We walked into a busy pub on a Sunday(on a bank holiday weekend). The front door was wide open and the second hand smoke from several smokers wafted inside to the pub patrons. The servers were understaffed(but pleasant) and seemingly unable to deal efficiently with the supper rush. Food was delivered from the downstairs kitchen via a dumbwaiter. They did not attend to the food in the dumbwaiter right away, so it was sitting there for at least seven minutes. Then they opened the door of the dumbwaiter and took the plates out to sit on the counter of the bar for another five minutes. The food must have all gone cold by then… Our Chipshop Platter was disappointing. The breaded scampi was still raw on the inside and there were only a few meager morsels of breaded cod on the platter(£12.49). They also skimped on the chips(there were only ten chips(«fries») on this«sharing» platter. The farmers must have had a potato blight or something…) My passionfruit cider was quite refreshing, but the server forgot to bring my friend’s coffee(I had to go up to the bar and remind her). Overall, I think that I would be more inclined to try another pub.

Really like this little pub. Keep it in mind if you ever want a Christmassy pub in London. Especially if you’re escaping the madness that is Winter Wonderland(it’s pretty close by).

Great little pub for a crawl. Didn’t sample the food, but the beer tasted great and it room was well lit and clean. More of a mainstreem tourist oriented place.

As a frequenter of the Three Tuns, I was wary of their joining the Taylor-Walker franchise group. No worries! Same great food quality, same great service as before. Can’t miss on Cod and Chips or burgers. The portions are worth every pound. I hope they continue their cask ale fest traditions next fall, new franchise affiliate notwithstanding.

Another classic English pub done right. We were a little Leary at first since the posters and menu look a little«corporate» and not at all like mum had made them up years ago. Solid selection of local beers and and impressive description of Budweiser. Don’t try Budweiser. Bangers and mash were very good, although could have been served hotter. One of us tried the lasagna, served with a salad and garlic bread. What was hot was hot and what was cold was cold, just as it should be. Like most pubs we visited in London, service is friendly but a bit less attentive than I am used too. The warm smiles make up for it.

Awesome local pub. Was in London for a week and popped in several times. It was always busy but still easy to get a drink. The sausage platter was memorable, wish I could have some now. Very friendly staff.

Nice cosy pub at festive times of year. Typical drink selection with a few ales on. Seems friendly. Tv’s dotted around for the sports fan. Music not too loud to chat.

This was the closest pub to my hotel and the first that I visited in London — in the end this was my favorite pub too. A nice chicken and mushroom pie and Doombar English Ale — a great pub meal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to an American visitor. I shared a table with a fellow traveler from Melbourne, Australia and we had a wonderful chat.

If i worked around here, the three tuns would totally be my after work local. I went here last week, and that was a BAD idea, as it was the week before christmas, and it’s location is still pretty close to oxford circus. And there was some kind of work x-mas party going on at the same time, but i bet that if you can make it there at a time when it isn’t the PEAK of crowded-ness it’s a great pub.

A fantastically dark, grimy, old-man’s pub. Drink prices are middling, with the excellent food being very reasonably priced. Staff are nearly all antipodean for some reason, mostly hilarious and all very welcoming. Not much room to move in the place when it’s raining, but when it’s not, you’ll find a lot of happy people spilled out onto the street. Nowt wrong with that! Saw Tom Jones in here at Christmas, which absolutely wins it in my mind.

This is my work local and we go there a little more often than I should admit. Really friendly staff, always a great atmosphere and even when the bar is 3 deep they see us and get our beers in. They even know what we each drink, which is a little embarressing but secretly great!

I love love love this pub! Slightly biased as we lived in here when I worked around the corner but it really was a home from home. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is cosy and inviting. It does get very busy on a Friday after work but most places are nowadays. The food is typical pub grub, nothing special but you get a lot for your money!

Not really sure what to make of this place. I’ve gotten very mixed service here. I lived around this area for a couple weeks before settling into my flat, in turn coming here a handful of times. They bartenders/waitresses were quite rude on just about every occasion, yet the couple times I was able to make it for food, the food was really good. They seem to have a pretty good selection of ales, but it is still a strange place. Not really decorated, just kind of dark and cold, which maybe is why the staff throw that sentiment back at you in attitude. If I am in the area, need a pint or quick bite and don’t want to try somewhere else, I’d go back. However, this is not going to be a destination for me anytime soon.

Not sure what was going on with the other reviewer, but colleagues and I often go down the Three Tuns for lunch and a pint. Good food, normally well cooked(including the fish & chips — which come with mushy peas as served in a chip shop) and the pies are usually worth a good crack. Normally have a good pint of Greene King IPA on too, as well as a couple of other ales that make lunch go down a treat. Normally about £10 for a meal and a pint.
